When we are in San Diego we always cross the bridge to go to the base. The commissary is a great place to stop in to pick up some items before you head out to the beach. Friendly service too. You must have a military ID to enter the base and shop here.

I really like this commissary. Yes, it is small, but it is CLEAN, organized and it has a nice selection of fresh fruits and veggies. The meats are the«basic», not as diverse as the 32nd street ones, but that is fine with me! It has the boneless, skinless chicken, steaks, roast, ground meat/turkey and pork… all at great prices! The overall selections are not as diverse as 32nd street, but again, that is fine with me. I keep it simple and spice it up at home! :) Support our local Commissary! They need our support! LOVE!

A pretty large commissary for Coronado. A much better selection than Miramar in terms of veggies and fruit. Parking is usually a pain due to the high traffic but it is worth it to pick up a few items while on base. Make sure to tip the baggers! They only work on tips and are so sweet!!!

After going to the 32nd St. Commissary for a while and always being annoyed with how crowded it is, we decided to start shopping here. The parking lot is never full and neither is the store. I usually go on Sunday afternoons, and it’s shocking how easy it is to get in, get what you need, and get out. It is a lot smaller than the other commissary — but you can find everything you need(with the exception of a nice disposable women’s razor). Another plus is that it’s directly connected to the NEX, so it’s a one stop shop and super easy.

As others have said, this is a smaller commissary compared to 32nd St commissary. With that said, you can still find much of what you need here at a much lower price. I’ve never had any complaints with the customer service here even after shopping here hundreds of times now. They have a decent sized produce section, meat section and an awesome bakery. This commissary is directly connected to the NEX, so if you can’t fond what you need, you may be able to find what you’re looking for at the NEX. To get to this commissary, take the first right after you go through the gate and take your next right; you’ll see the commissary on your left. TIP: Sign up for the Rewards program for 100’s of online coupons; it’s free to sign up!

Seems smaller than what I’m use to. Also not as busy as most commissary’s I’ve been to. Checkers were eager to check you out, because the store was slow. Now the baggers… They don’t take your grocery’s to the car? They bag them, and expect a tip! I don’t think so… Finish the job, the you will get the tip! Heck, I could have just gone to self check out if I had known you weren’t going to take my groceries to my car.

So dissatisfied! First– I’d like to say this is a very very small commissary, half the things on my grocery list i couldnt find here. We only came to this location cause 32nd street cashiers were down. Secondly– our cashier accused me of photocopying my coupons, he continued to argue with me that I couldn’t use two of the same coupons. First of all– I’m fully aware that photocopying coupons is illegal, and I told him to read the barcodes– THEYAREDIFFERENT. Hes like yeah you see here they are the same– and i pointed it out to him and was like SIR, THEYARECOMPLETELYTWODIFFERENTNUMBERS! Then he actually took the time to read it– and was like oh ok. Didnt even apologize. Terrible customer service here. This isnt the first time I’ve run into rude cashiers at the commissary. I’m kind of beginning to wonder the type of people they hire? Wont be back. Please keep in mind, I hardly complain. But I can’t stand people who work in the customer service industry who just dont know how to service customers!

This commissary is small but carries many things at much lower prices than the local markets. It is well stocked most of the time. There are organic items. Special rewards cards. They even accept coupons and no tax. Great deal!
