Worst place ever :( Waiting for more than hour and half for our food !! The place has a loud music and rickety tables and chairs. They put on real clean tablecloths for each party but over all it is not pleasant atmosphere. The food was good when we finally hot it but we are not coming back.

I absolutely love stx sushi! Been there a few times and will definitely return! I recommend the ecstasy roll and rattlesnake roll(spicy). I tend to stick with what i know and i like those best. I also really really love the tempura fried asparagus(which they waited 25 minutes to tell me they were out of on my visit last week). This place also allows you to BYOB! Our server was a little scatter brained that night, forgetting the ice bucket & cups and chopsticks & napkins but it wont stop me from returning. Fridays and Saturdays are extremely busy so get there early or call ahead to reserve a spot as the dining room will hold about 30 – 40 people max.

Best sushi I’ve ever had! It was super fresh, I’d give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the super long wait time… However it did allow me to spend more time with my best friend! I wouldn’t suggest going there if you’re in a rush.

Found my new favorite sushi place in Corpus! The fish is very fresh and the menu has plenty of choices for everyone including kids. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu which is helpful if you’re having trouble deciding what you want to try. We had the ecstazy roll, Dragon roll, and escolar sashimi. The ecstazy roll had a chef sauce on it that was smokey and delicious. The eel on the dragon roll was cooked perfectly and the crunchies on top added a nice texture. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that they don’t serve alcohol. However it is BYOB, so you can bring your own bottle. With that said I will definitely be back for more delicious sushi!

This is the best sushi I have had in years!!! The creamy seaweed salad was amazing, spring rolls were awesome, and the sushi was incredible! I wish I still lived in Corpus so I could come here all the time!!!

Very fresh sushi! Loved the atmosphere and music was right on point .If you are wanting sushi this is the place to go. The menu has a variety of different types of sushi. The menu was only lacking in a variety of other options besides sushi. We had a 4 year old with us and she loves sushi but, it’s always nice to have more options. The service was speedy and the server was polite.

I think this is the second best sushi place in the Corpus Christi area(sushi bar being first) We ordered a roll called the fire something… can’t remember the name but it had a really weird aftertaste to it. The other Rolls were much better! Very yummy! Love the Byob thing too!

Really delicious! Things I’ve Tried: APPS — Spring Rolls = loved them. Not your typical roll and served with a yummy sauce — Creamy Seaweed Salad = an improved take on the regular seaweed salad, though I wish it just a little more of the regular seaweed salad with it. — South Texas Poke = Cubed tuna over a bed of rice with shredded carrots, sliced cucumber and sliced avocado. And the poke sauce is DELICIOUS! It’s the same price as a regular roll. ROLLS — Gi Gi Roll = did not like. I think it was the crabslaw more than anything else. But even taking that off, the rest of the roll was kind of bland. — Ecstazy Roll = OMNOM will eat again! — Dragons Fire Roll = Delicious! TAKEOUTSERVICE I’ve only ordered take out. They are generally very busy. If they give you a time frame, always assume it’s gonna be the tail end of that time frame(so, if told it’ll take 45 min. — 1 hour, plan on an hour), and then expect to wait another 10 min. Though, they offer you a free drink and even free miso if you have to wait long, so they are at least very considerate! PRICES They don’t put any prices online, which really sucks(and, kinda shifty?). The food is really good, but honestly, everything’s a few bucks over priced(but I’m from DC, so maybe fish costs more around Corpus? It’s counter-intuitive, but I dunno). Over a couple of dishes, it really adds up, and you end up spending a small fortune.

If your looking for a family friendly place to grab some sushi, this is not the place. The first time I went I noticed there was no kids menu but thankfully my son had ate before we went. This time we had family in town and decided to go again because the sushi pretty good. We had 2 kids who needed a high chair, well they only had one so we managed. We asked if there was a kids menu and was told by the waitress, we have juice. That’s not food so I had brought my son chicken nuggets inside my purse because I knew from the previous expierence that didn’t offer any food. I descretly allowed him to eat his nuggets because I wasn’t offered any type of solution. We ended up spending about $ 100 between four adults and we’re told kindly at the door to not bring in outside food. I asked again if there was a child menu and I was told they could make children’s sushi… I have a 2 year old and I have never seen a 2 year old who eats sushi including my own son. If you dont offer a childrens menu then that leads me to believe my children are not welcome there. The sushi is good but the menu could use some work if they want my business ever again.

Sushi was just ok. Took 45 min to even receive our sushi. They only have 1 highchair and no kids menu. Nothing for kids to eat… not a family friendly place in my opinion

Would recommend this place for a takeout/pickup meal because the food was really good but the service sucked. A friend & I went there on a Saturday evening– it wasn’t packed– only a handful of people in there– but it took us more than an hour to get one roll and one chirashi bowl! The food was great once we got it, but the wait was too much for us. It’s BYOB, but they don’t mention that anywhere on their signage or before you settle in at your table. The plain miso soup is free, but they don’t tell you that, either.

The soy paper salmon was amazing. The salmon was the best I’ve had. Buttery smooth, not overly flavored, a perfectly balanced roll. The south Texas roll was also perfectly balanced. Everything was incredibly fresh. And the staff is super nice and quick with the refills. Bonus: feels like a coffee shop from my teen years, good music and relaxed atmosphere. A definite must try!!!

GREAT sushi! Our favorite dish was the Spicy Yellowtail Roll — it was killer! Fish was super fresh and the snap from the tobiko provided a lingering pop to balance out the ground fish on the inside of the roll. The spice rub on the yellowtail was perfect and really brought out the flavor of the fish. The serrano gave a fresh heat, but the cucumber gave the whole bite a freshness and a sensation that actually makes you stand up and recognize the heat from the Serrano. The balance of heat, cool, and fresh was perfect! A few things to know before you head that direction… the establishment is BYOB, so stop and grab a nice Asahi to accompany your meal. They will bring you a nice bucket of ice and get your beer all snuggled in for you for about $ 3 — really nice service and you get the beverage of your choice you’re your meal! Also, as of our visit, they have $ 2 off special rolls on Tuesdays! For more dishes that will make you drool, check us out on drooldish!

My husband and I loved our dishes. It’s a little restaurant just coming up… don’t expect it to be fancy but I’ll tell you they have fresh authentic Japanese cuisine that you can’t find anywhere else in CC. I love Sushi but it Has to be Fresh and that’s exactly what you get here. Everything we ordered was new to us… and we were Not disappointed in any way. We were able to order our appetizer and soups and then our entrée was brought to us which worked out perfect. Our waiter was awesome and the chef herself came out to thank us for stopping by. We’ll definitely be going by more often.

I can’t tell you about the food because we didn’t stay… They only had 1 server and 1 highchair which was being used… They should prolly save some money on radio advertising and buy a couple more highchairs and hire some staff…

I went this evening for the first time and it was amazing! The sushi is fresh and very flavorful! Service is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful! Our server explained each and every menu item, down to what each term meant and was. I was throughly impressed with everything and will be back many more times! On a side note, they do have specials on Tuesday and it’s BYOB, but they do have mixers and glasses for drinks.

Stopped by for lunch midweek, ordering and appetizer and entrée. As there was only one other table ordering/eating and one vendor in the building — I though this should go quick and easy Started with the creamy seaweed then the Unagi bowl. Quality of the food and flavors — 5 stars. Real slices of eel(some places like to use formed chunks) Service — 0 stars. When ordering shirts takes you away from preparing peoples food at lunch, don’t do it over lunch. Even when the vendor left, talking about being able to sell the shirts took precedence. Everything else — 1 star. Yes, sushi is expensive(relatively speaking), even for sushi, this is not a value place(and sushi rice isn’t that expensive). I do commend them that they are not offering all of the standard varieties of sushi(they just are not busy enough to be able to keep it fresh). Cans of soda are available for your drinks I hope they pay less attention to selling paintings and t-shirts, and pay more attention to the food and customers

First got a taste of this place at Taste of the Coastal Bend. We decided to have a date night here a few weeks ago and it was a pretty good experience! The sushi was great and the sushi chef herself brought it out and gave us a brief description as she presented it to us, I thought that was nice. The service was pretty good too. It took a little while to get our food, but the food was great so we didn’t mind. It’s BYOB so that’s a fun plus! We had to ask for a corkscrew and an ice bucket to keep the wine cold but I’m sure those are things they’ll pick up on as time goes on. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing sushi, apps and people! I can’t get enough. Definitely better than all sushi places combined in CC! They have fresh ingredients and inventive recipes. Great music and atmosphere including artwork for sale.

Good sushi! Very flavorful and fresh! No noodles or anything else on the menu… Simply sushi or sashimi. Byob it seems. No kids menu, wouldn’t recommend bringing them. Would score this lower but the sushi was super good.
