The Optometrist here, Dr. Shirley Ng, is as good as it gets. She’s very thorough, friendly, helpful. Doesn’t push the glasses from LensCrafters at all, up to you if you want to use them or not. No issue getting your prescription if that’s how you want to go. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Only issue I’ve had is having to wait a little while for service. But its nothing beyond typical.

I’ve worn glasses or contacts since I was in 4th grade so let’s just say I’ve seen MANY eye doctors in my lifetime. I went to see Dr. Shirley Ng last week and she was really great. She is enthusiastic, nice and knowledgeable. Love that can you do a retinal scan in lieu of having your eyes dilated. Dr. Ng walked me through everything and gave a thorough explanation of each test. Their office was crazy busy during the time I was there but never did I feel rushed or like they were racing to get through my exam.

I’ve been going to Eyexam ever since I can remember. I always loved all of their high-tech equipment and almost video game-like eye tests that they have! When I moved to San Francisco, I visited a local eye doc and felt like they were super prehistoric because they didn’t have all of the testing gadgets and didn’t even me as throughly for things like peripheral vision or color blindness. Now that I’ve moved back to the area, I decided it was time to get my vision checked out again. I made an appointment with Dr Shirley Ng. Scheduling was easy — they had an appointment available the next morning. Eyexam recently moved locations within the mall — their new location is a little smaller but is really nice and comfortable. Lenscrafters is attached as well, so if you need new glasses you don’t have to go far. The entire staff that I encountered was incredibly friendly. Dr. Ng had a GREAT personality with a lot of enthusiasm. She took time to explain exactly what she was doing, and discussed in detail my contact lens habits to make sure I was taking good care of my eyes. They really have state of the art equipment here — she did a retinal scan and instantly had the images on a computer screen. She walked me through a 3D image of the back of my eye(which was almost creepy!) explaining exactly what we were looking at. I wouldn’t exactly call vision exams fun, but my visit was totally painless and almost enjoyable. I was in and out quickly, as well, which was great.
