CLOSED. Signs on the door say«Costa Mesa Social» coming soon. Sounds like another gastropub? I guess we’ll see!

CLOSEDANDOUTOFBUSINESSNOW. NOTSURPRISED. For everything else that this bar may offer it is always understaffed for big matches. 1 bartender every time I come in and 100 patrons. If I wanted to watch a match without beer I could do that at home. Here for the WC England v Italy. Place is packed. 1 bartender for all of us. Laaaaaame. Ps word has it the manager was warned it would be packed and still didn’t staff the bar properly. Laaaaaaame.

Bartender Mark is full of knowledge! He’ll educate you the entire time you are sipping your drinks away. Ask him for one of his top notch whiskey drinks made with some of the finest whiskeys around. If you are hungry, you won’t leave hungry; food portions are huge. Try the fish and chips, hamburger and sweet potato fries… Damn good pub grub!

Ginger beer is catching on as I’ve noticed a growing interest in the infamous Moscow Mule. Starting at craft corners like London Pub, the Mule eventually will pull its weight into the dive-bar scene. Until now, try the array of signature Mules mixed here, at London Pub. Some favorites include the Fire Mule(Fireball), Watermelon & Cucumber Mule, and the Irish Mule(Jameson). Mule like it, I guarantee it.

This place is so disappointing. I found myself unwittingly at a «London Pub» for a Taco Tuesday. That seemed odd. I suppose that was my fault for not checking. I just went with it. I ordered a $ 3 Corona Light.(What a good deal, right?) Oh, they’re out. It’s only 6pm on a Tuesday. And it’s Taco Tuesday. And it’s the special. Odd. I ordered a $ 3 Pacifico.(Also a good deal!) The server came back with Dos Equis. What happened? Apparently, he blanked out. We waited around for our«real» server, who said 15 minutes before that she’d be by. She never came by. By the way, credit to the«Dos Equis» guy for helping us out though. I do not think it was his job at all. We flagged down a gal to ask if we can order food, and she looked at us like we were crazy, asking if our server had been by, which was a reasonable question. We explained all of the above. To her credit, she came back and helped with a genuine smile. The food came out pretty quickly. Then 10 minutes after receiving our food order, she drops off the entire bill to be settled up. Were we being politely asked to leave? We just got there. We just started getting service. We were just starting to feel like real customers. Weird. All in all, London Pub is crying out for better management. From start to finish, there was an air of confusion. I wish I could say that it was just our group, but we found ourselves catching folks at other tables trying to oh-so-casually«look around» for their respective servers who, on this particular happy hour, just could not be found. It was sad too. Lots of folks seemed in need of something. To me, London Pub was just not worth the hassle. Try another bar. I will.

Wow, how terrible is this place? Very. A few weeks ago, we walked into this bar around 6pm on a Saturday night. There were 5 other people at the bar, and there was one old drunk lady that couldn’t keep her head up. Very surprised it doesn’t do better since it’s in a decent area next to Triangle Square. Plus there were bball games on and this place has TVs. So again, shocked this place can’t get it together. Our server tells us that we can’t order any carbonated drinks because the machine is broken. It’s a bar… shouldn’t you have a back-up machine? I guess if you would like to avoid the crowd and not fight for seating at Yardhouse or the new bowling place, it’s the way to go. Otherwise, what a crap hole.

Can’t tell you how great this place is. Taco Tuesday’s is one of the best in Orange County. Pull pork Slider are amazing. The bar tenders are always friendly. Great beers on tap. What made this place for me is that they show soccer games early on the weekends! There are not alot of places that do that around here and I want to say thank you London Pub for that! Even before I found out they show Liverpool F.C. games here, I was a big fan of this place.

Great place! Real clean and comfortable. The food is actually quite good. I like the burgers and tots, the nachos are good, tacos on Tuesday are really good. Wish they had some more British fare but the fish and chips are really really good. Lots of good booze and specialty beers to choose from. They have specialty drinks and cocktails that I very much enjoy. They have specials almost every day like Whiskey Wednesdays, and events like Trivia Night, and they have bands and performances at times as well. Bartenders are very nice and some are even nicer ;) Great place for Happy Hour! Really great place to watch sports! Really really great place to watch LFC!

I’m not a fan of posting bad reviews, but I know they help! I was excited to bring my date here(Dec 2013) only I didn’t realize it was a new place! We decided to check it out anyway. The bartender was super nice, but VERY green. My ex-bartender friend had to teach him how to make a decent bloody mary. The food was greasy and made him sick. The only reason I didn’t get a tummy ache because I had only one bite and passed. Sorry London. We won’t be going back.

— Locale Destination — It’s on 19th St and Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa. It’s in a tiny strip plaza across street from Triangle square. Be careful at night here. This area isn’t bad, but not as good as across street or «South Coast Metro»(where included Santa Ana by South Coast Plaza) in Costa Mesa. Especially this strip mall has a pool bar, where attracts young and dumb drunks. Also many homeless people hang out here. It used to be the«Westside»(bar) and seemed to keep the most. They changed only a bit. They have a long bar, a little live show area, lots of tables and TVs for game. Very roomy. Décor is very modern and casual. It’s more like a casual American bar instead of «London Bar»(not like a typical British pub like«The Olde ship» in Santa Ana/Fullerton). The bartender was very talkative. Drinks: Craft beers: Actually they do have interesting craft beer menu. Next time. Moscow Mule: Various Moscow mule served in the copper cup, yet I prefer the one at «Chapter One» in downtown Santa Ana. Food: British food like a fish & chips. Happy Hour: Every day before 6pm and all day on Sundays. Good deals! — Gluttony Expedition — Blueberry Moscow mule: It’s sweet and very weak, which I like. I’m such a cheap date, so it was good for me but I guess too weak for most people. Dark & Stormy Moscow mule: Rum in it. A bit sweet and not a fan of this. — Conqueror’s Deduction — Take advantage of the happy hour deals! The Moscow mule isn’t stiff — you might not like it if you love stiff drinks.

I have to say, that London Pub has become disappointing with their food. I used to love coming here because everything that I have tried was excellent. They have been continuously changing and deleting items on their menu. Unfortunately, they took a lot of the good menu items off and also the quality of the food has gone down. They used to make fresh chips with the salsa and now they taste stale and like it comes out of a bag. Recently, their tacos swam in grease and are either too salty or inedible. They also took out a few of their flatbread selections and the pulled pork sandwich. Too bad, I really used to like the food here.

Came here around midnight on a Saturday morning. A band had just finished so my boyfriend and I were literally the only people at the bar. The bartender(female) was very friendly. I had the Fire Mule(so freakin’ good) and he had some foreign beer the bartender recommended. The bartender told us about the different daily drink and food specials they have for next time we come in and they sounded pretty stellar. She also told us about the different bands that play and when the DJ comes. However, the reason I knock of stars is because she said they don’t actually use ginger beer, just a «ginger mix» because the beer is too expensive… so really the only alcohol in the mule is the vodka or liquor. Hrrrrm… might want to change you menu ingredients! Also, it was only 12:30 when we left(we only stayed for one drink) and the woman’s bathroom was already shut down for cleaning but I went in anyway. Aren’t bars(and bathrooms) open til 2AM?

Ekkkkk! It was pretty bad. I came with a girlfriend on a Monday evening. They have a sign up front that says«seat yourself.» So we did, then we sat and sat and sat and sat… It wasn’t busy so would you expect to have quick service but the girls that worked there were to busy socializing with guys at the bar. I had to walk up to the bar and ask the bartender if someone was going to help us. The food wasn’t bad it just wasn’t cook properly. We order the loaded fries which is pretty much like nachos but with french fries. It would have been really good if the cheese was melted all the way through. HUGE portions, great for sharing. Drinks were mediocre and not made consistently. However, half way through our meal a homeless women comes into the bar and they serve her.(which I did not understand why?) She is talking to herself and screaming at nothing. All of sudden she passes out and makes a huge scene, the fire department had to come. It was a total mess. I am not sure if it’s because of the area or what? But it was pretty sleazy and sad. :(

Went in on a Sunday around 6pm and the place was pretty empty. We took one of the booths — it was really dark, which I didn’t really like. I was excited to try one of their Moscow Mule creations. I had the cream soda one and it was really good. The other 4 people in my group didn’t really love theirs. Tater tots are bomb, we ordered seconds. We also munched on sweet potato fries and green bean fries. I expected the green beans to be fried, but they still had great flavor. We had 2 rounds of shots and both were really good. Props to the bartender Jim for those — one was a lemon something and the other was a root beer float. He also treated out friend to a bday shot on the house, that was solid. Service could have been better. It was very crowded but there was just the bartender so he didn’t come out from behind the bar very often. I think they should of had someone else. I’ll probably be back to try the fish n chips but won’t be a regular. We had a hefty tab when we were done and I’m still on the fence if it was worthy it. Side note: the photo booth is apprentice temperamental, we put money in and couldn’t get t to work. The bartender tried unplugging it and still couldn’t get it.

I really like the Happy Hour deals here! Every day before 6pm and all day on Sunday is a pretty awesome deal. I tend to hit up London Pub with a few friends during the week so it’s not super packed. It’s a great place to come grab some food and drinks and watch sports games. I usually just get their burger with either sweet potato fries or tots. All of the food is pretty good and I would definitely recommend trying their flatbreads, particularly the Margherita Flatbread. I also am a huge fan of their mules. The House Mule on the happy hour menu is great and the Irish Mule is awesome as well. I’ve been here once on a Friday night and it was pretty packed. It was a pretty good place to socialize if you’re looking for that type of thing on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for good Happy Hour deals or a place to go out on a Friday or Saturday night.

I came here with a bunch of runners after the Road Runner Sport Thursday Night Adventure Run — which is across the street from London Pub. The pub had some specials for those who participated in the adventure run so my experience is somewhat different than normal. The special was fish and chips with a Kona so I got that(I think it was $ 14 for the special and normally the fish and chips are $ 12). The place was packed with all of us runners so it took awhile to get our food and the server forgot to bring me my beer. I don’t think the service was bad — it was just very busy. The Fish and Chips were good and the size is big enough to share with someone else. I totally want to come back and check out some of their other menu items as well as try one of their mules. The happy hour looks good too!

Been to London Pub twice. And no complaints here. I love the place. Pretty huge space. Interior is nothing special, but the food&drinks make up for that. Both times I went, the place was pretty empty. Once after work and once on a Saturday for happy hour from 2 – 6 pm. First Visit: Watermelon + Cucumber Mule Sofrito Flatbread with carne asada Pork Sliders Sweet Potato Fries I shared the food with my two co-workers, it was plenty. The SOFRITO flatbread is a must try, it has hot sauce, red onions, and your choice of carne asada OR chicken. Second Visit: Raspberry Mule(happy hour) Whipped Russian Sofrito Flatbread Pork Sliders(happy hour) French Fries(happy hour) Loved what I got last time, I had to have my fiancé try it. Tried the Sofrito with chicken this time and LOVE this choice better. The flatbread tasted like a buffalo chicken pizza(one of my faves). The raspberry mule was better than the watermelon + cucumber mule. Can’t wait to go back and try more… I will definitely make this place one of my regular spots for yummy food & drinks. p. s. They TVs everywhere, great place to watch sports.
