Plant World

Given the name, I was expecting a vast selection of plants to choose from. Hard to find varieties, natives, and exotic stuff. Now, maybe I just have bad timing but the selection and variety was skimpy at best. Empty racks and tables. Several plants (right at the entrance) needed some serious attention/​water. I get the feeling the «Backyard» is really just an add on/​afterthought to the salon/​waxing studio sharing the property. The young lady working at the time was very nice and the set up is cute but this place really needs to step up if it wants to live up to the name.

We got our Christmas tree from Plant World last year and loved it sooo much that we had to get another one for Christmas 2012! They buy these trees from Utah. They are very woodland looking! Plenty of space to put ornaments and lights! The trees are very airy looking so everything hangs beautifully! Best of all… the tree hardly shed! At first you might say… no way to the tree… but I gave it a try last year and could not have been happier! We got so many compliments…“What kind of tree is that!”…“Your tree is beautiful”!!
So if you need a Christmas Tree… the Utah trees are beautiful and sadly knock every other tree out of the park!
Oh and they have great succulents too! If you need a gift for someone… they also have great arrangements in every price range! I love shopping locally! Here in Costa Mesa we really have some cool places right in our own backyard! Visit this wonderful nursery… you will not be disappointed!

I was at plant world this past weekend looking for plants to redo my yard. Aimlessly looking around at the wonderful assortment, I couldn’t make up my mind. I’m not too creative in this department which the gentlemen working there could somehow tell. I was offered to have plant world come to my home to take a look at what can be done. To my surprise, one of the owners himself took the time and came to my home to assess what can be done. Needless to say, I am having my yard redone this next weekend with an assortment of beautiful plants. You should definitely check plant world in costa Mesa out and ask for Kraig or Aaron. They are a wealth of knowledge and very helpful.

We came here the other afternoon with a rather unusual request. My son has recently adopted a Tomato Hornworm from my Mother’s garden. So we had to get some tomato plants for «Greeny» to live on. We met one of the Owners Kraig who was so kind and helpful. He showed us exactly what we needed and even repotted it for us! We took a walk around and it really was like stepping into paradise. They had every plant you could think including a wide variety of succulents for really reasonable prices. We will definitely be back soon and I am recommending this nursery to everyone I come across.
