Tender Trap

I went to this bar for the first time a couple weeks ago and now this has now become my «go to» place for drinks. Chris is a fantastic bartender and he knows who to make the best drinks. He was very nice and suggested some good drinks when I couldn’t decided. Receiving good service and great drinks from Chris is a reason why I would definitely keep going back!

If Merriam-​Webster had pictures next to a word definition, picture of tender trap should be on it. Bartenders are great, drinking are cheap, and you can see everyone is enjoying their time. I remember ordering a double of Bulliet Rye neat and my glass was almost overflowing! Plenty if beer/​hard liquor to choose from, pool table/​darts and juke box for your pleasure. I definitely try to visit at least once when i’m visiting home. Fun place!

Came here for the first time with a group of people on Saturday after work… Def will not be the last! Gary was awesome! Everyone there was friendly. Has a pool table. Drinks are inexpensive. Vibe is great. Definitely recommend The Trap!

I’ve been coming to this bar for a few years now, and it’s made so many improvements since I first started coming. All the clientele is very welcoming, bar tenders give an excellent service and drinks are good and reasonably priced.

A long awaited updated review for my beloved neighborhood watering hole.
This is my kind of bar. Unassuming, unpretentious friendly locals. Dimly lit, strong pours, cheap drinks, California Keno, impromptu Disco dance parties, a Golden Tee golf game, and smoker friendly.
The bartenders are all awesome– every single one of them. I can let my hair down here and get drunk and I don’t feel like any of them judge me when I’m a mess. It’s a great place to meet up with friends and make new ones, of which I’ve made several here.
Bonus points for taking the carpet off the walls!

First time coming here and it won’t be my last. There’s a very friendly vibe you get as soon as you walk in and they have a Golden Tee game! I haven’t seen one of those in years.
Best thing is… they’re so close to home!!! This bar has that Cheers bar feeling, like everyone knows your name & if they don’t, just tell them and they make you feel like you’re home!

This place is your typical hole in the wall dive bar. It is a great spot to sit and have a drink and catch up with a friend or sit and people watch. You have the typical dive bar people here: the chain smoker drinker, the old drunk lady going on about life problems and the middle aged man that gets so drunk he no longer gets served alcohol and gets angry (yes, that really happened here). The bartender was cool and the drinks were really strong, which can be a good or bad thing depending how you want the night to go. This place wouldn’t be my first choice to come get drinks but I will definitely be back.

Always looking forward to good times here. Best bartenders, friendly people. It’s a home away from home. Bartender Matt is fast and doesn’t miss a beat, and bartender/​owner Gary creates magical new drinks. Great atmosphere, low prices, and large selection of drinks. Don’t expect anything fancy. .it’s a «come as you are and relax» type of joint. AND you can play any of your favorite songs without worry!

Drinks are cheap, strong, and the owner is ridiculously sweet and gracious. He was tending bar by himself all last night, and he kept up with everyone well. It’s a cute little place. Can’t tip on card, so be sure to bring cash.

I’ve been here several times. The drinks are affordable, strong, and the service is always great. There is one pool table and a dart board. I highly recommend this place if you live in the area. After I found this place I can’t help coming back.

This bar runs on laughter, friendship, love, lots of beer, yummy mix drinks and some of THE BEST BARTENDERS in town!!! For those who don’t drink they have a yummy non-​alcoholic beverage called the «Matt bomb» it is amazing! Love it here!

Best kept secret around– finally a bar with really friendly, down to earth bartenders– a pool table and a jukebox. Great prices and there are always pot lucks and fun events going on :) Great place to get your butt off a couch and onto a stool with a fun and friendly atmosphere!

How many good things can I say about this bar? Sure it’s smokey and there’s carpet on the walls but you can look past all of that because the beers are cheap and the bartenders are attentive.

When you enter the doors and settle in you are greeted with a «hey how ya doing, what can I get for ya?» Their beer selection is decent, you just have to open your mouth and ASK instead of whining and crying about the lack of draft beer because, even though they don’t have draft, it doesn’t mean it won’t be the coldest and greatest beer you’ve ever tasted. If you like to play pool or darts or just sit and talk to some good people from different places then this is the place you will enjoy.

Although, if you decide to come to this bar planning to judge the place because of their lack of modernness, then maybe this isn’t the place for you. TGI Friday’s, Applebee’s, or maybe even Chilis may be more your style where you can sit and act like a douche, while paying six bucks for a warm glass of draft.

As for me I’ll continue coming to this simple bar, and talk to these interesting people, while drinking my ICE COLD underpriced beer and heavy handed cocktails.

This is my bar! I love Saturday nights with the best bartender this side of the Mississippi! Gary! The bar is AWESOME AND HE IS AWESOME COME BY AND HAVE A DRINK! I love this bar. For a stiff drink come down on Saturday night!!!
