Giving them 2 stars because the ham is good. They are blatantly racist though, unfortunately. In line with 20 other people(all white, I am Hispanic), everybody was paying with a credit card, I’m the only person they asked for ID. When I asked why they are asking me for an ID, as my NAME and PICTURE are on the card, along with my signature, my cashier, Sally, just said«as a precaution». As a precaution for what? I asked her why she didn’t ask the other 19 people for ID for precautionary reasons, she just looked at me with a blank stare. Won’t be returning. 2015 and the small racist minds of Crystal Lake Honey Baked Ham are still living in the 60s.

Love it! Great ham! Can’t beat it! We ordered from here for Easter and a family event, both times it was superior. Our experience overall was incredibly pleasant. Very clean. Well kept. Friendly knowledgable staff. Amazing tasty food!

I ordered a chicken salad sandwich… there was a fly in it.

Love eating lunch here. I always tell myself I am going to try something different but the box lunch with classic ham sandwich and a macadamia nut cookie is outstanding. It’s only like $ 7 or $ 8, something like that. The other thing you can do here is buy a bag of dried beans and ask them to sell you a hambone from the freezer. They always throw in a big handful of extra ham chunks you basically soak the beans over night and then boils them with the ham bone the next day and it’s freakin delicious.

I was staying at the Country Inn in Crystal lake and was looking for a place to eat. This was within walking distance — a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The only other eating option is «Culver’s». This place was perfect for lunch. I’m not a big ham lover, but they had turkey options, so I had a turkey sandwich and soup. The lady at the counter also showed me a huge platter with 4 – 5 different kinds of ham and turkey to sample!!! And there was some dipping sauce to go with it. Yum. Inside it looks like a miniature Cracker Barrell with stuff for sale all over. Very country/homey feeling here. The staff couldn’t be any nicer.
