Nothing special. But definitely good. The ‘Campos Special’ burrito is my easy go to. But the more I find myself in the area and I stop in to order it, the more and more I start to appreciate/anticipate its basic flavorings and classic identity. So basically, it’s growing on me!

Have come here for about 10 years now and for the last few months have been getting some of my order wrong and are very rude when some of them are confronted about it

This is the perfect example of a hole in the wall restaurant that will remind you to judge a book by its cover. Everything is responsibly priced, the food is delicious and the hot sauce is out if this world!

I LOVE this place. Like my coworker says — looks like it wouldn’t be good on the outside — but it IS good.

Came in to get a steak, potato, and egg burrito for breakfast. I ordered my food and went to use the restroom. When I came back the cashier told me they are out of eggs. She asked if I could choose a different option instead and I said ok fine rice and beans. And instead of steak I guess they make you get Carne asada. So all in all my burrito consisted of Carne asada, rice, beans, cilantro, and onions. No potatoes. This burrito was the most distasteful burrito I have ever eaten in my entire life. They should not list themselves as being«famous» when they clearly cannot live up to that expectation. Their breakfast time also ends at 1130am. I ordered my burrito at 10am. Obviously they don’t know how to estimate their ingredients and do not know how to coordinate their food with the times. This place is the absolute worst for burritos. Maybe if you eat here get something else and not the burritos even when they claim that they are famous for the burritos. All they are famous for is running out of ingredients so early because they do not know how to calculate and preplan. Boo on you. Never again.

This was a last minute food pick up, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered three soft shell tacos, one Carne Asada(just to try it) and two beef. All three were pretty good and plenty enough to fill me up/My brother ordered two tamales, which he also enjoyed. He also ordered the Nacho Dip, which was heaping and delicious. He says he could have just eaten the Tamales and been good. They also give a generous helping of Chips and Salsa complimentary with your order. The Horchata was also really good. i would recommend it for food. The dinning room seemed a bit lacking and I probably wouldn’t sit in there and eat, especially since it was pretty empty when we went.

Worst place ever ! Didn’t even take one sip of orange juice and my cup was already halfway. Also paid 3.50 for a child portion of a meal. Never going back

It was breakfast time and I was craving a breakfast burrito. I tried their potato, egg, cheese and bacon burrito. It was $ 5! That’s pretty cheap for the Westside. I snorted it and was done. It’s not the greatest but it tastes better due to the price. If I’m ever craving one again, I’ll head back to Campos.

Really like this place. And contrary to popular belief some of us like the fake cheese on our nachos. Carne asada nachos and chocolate flan for lunch. Not the healthiest but definitely tasty.

Pretty good food at very reasonable prices. I usually come here and get the steak and egg burrito with cheese, pico and avocado added and its under $ 7 for the burrito, chips and salsa. I’ve been to both the Venice Blvd location and the Simi Valley location, and prefer the Simi one, but both are good. I have noticed that the quality seems to be better at the one in Simi and the portions are a bit smaller at the one in Venice. And yes I did notice last time that the Venice location is oddly stingy with their salsa esp when you want to take some to go, but perhaps they have a problem with people taking too much? Also for those people complaining about this one not being like the location on Jefferson or the fact that its ridiculous there is another location so close by on venice… well that is because they are not the same restaurant people. This is Campos Famous Burritos. They have 3 locations — one on venice blvd in culver, tapo st in simi valley and pico blvd in santa monica. The one on Jefferson and the other one on venice are called CAMPOSTACOS. See how they have a different name??? Hmmm why is that? Could it be… wait…is it POSSIBLE that they are NOTTHESAMERESTAURANT? Why yes. Yes it is. *sigh* Anyway the Campos Tacos place does not have a website as far as I know, so I have no idea exactly how many locations they have and if they are all owned by the same people. I’ve also never been there, so their food could very well be magical I have no idea.

Perfection. You only need the Campos Special ALLMEAT. It’s heaven. I think a lot of negative reviews are for other campos locations. My review is for the Venice And Motor location. This is the only Campos I go to. It is truly wonderful. Been coming for 23 years now. A classic. A hidden gem.

Of course, this is part of a large chain; nearly every city in SoCal has one. Not the prettiest, or the most unique, if fact, it doesn’t take first prize in any category. But a solid choice for fast food Mexican. How do you know it’s good? Lots of local Mexicans go here! Prices are fair, quality for the buck. Sign me up(okay, once in awhile… I’m busy!).

One of my favorite local Mexican restaurants. Their chile colorado is excellent, as is the horchata. The beef is tender & the sauce flavorful. The rice & beans always look & taste freshly-made. The salsa bar has very tasty selections & the employees are all very friendly & helpful.

I’ve been coming here pretty religiously sense Campos is right next door to my film developer. They have awesome chorizo con huevos breakfast burritos. I like the staff here, they are always pleasant to interact with. Anxious to try more off their menu

Lets start with, there is nothing FAMOUS about these burritos whatsoever. I can not imagine any true burrito afficianado making more than one visit here. I would just tell you to avoid this place all together. There is no service with a smile just unhappy employees to take and provide your meal. Paid 10 bucks for an all meat burrito xtra asada and couldn’t help feeling that I got robbed and didnt get my money’s worth. To add insult to injury, the asada is void any flavor or marination whatsoever. The salsa options are average at best but better than the burrito itself. This place can only exist out of shear convenience to the patrons it serves. As I cant imagine anyone driving out of their way to ear here. They also serve burritos with ground beef! Sacralidge! Unilocal can you make it so we can do a half star rating?

First off, what type of Mexican restaurant closes at 9pm? Strraaaannnngeee. They would definitely profit if they stayed open later at night like other Mexican restaurants. Food was AVERAGE, Price was AVERAGE. Nothing I would ever crave or come back for honestly.

It’s definitely one of Culver City’s best hidden gems! The location is pretty hidden, but don’t judge a restaurant by its appearance. Take a look inside and you’ll see why I rated this place 5 sstars! Campos is about as good as they come when it comes to authentic Mexican food. The staff working there are a bunch of really chill people and can appreciate the great customer service provided at this place. They give out a pretty generous food portion. They even have a salsa bar in which you can help yourself to. It is safe to say that you will get your money’s worth here. The atmosphere at this restaurant is pretty warm and inviting and it doesn’t feel intimidating or shady in the very least bit. The dining area is pretty basic, but it’s still nice. The one downfall that I found odd is that there’s a lock on the bathroom door to which you have to pay a quarter to enter in. I can understand why they put the lock on the door which I can appreciate because no one really wants to look at a bunch of carvings and graffiti which they go use the bathroom. Bottom Line: If you want authenticity, drop by to this place! If you want trendy, go elsewhere.

This is our favorite local Mexican takeout. The meat burritos are good and the meat quality is decent. Some things I’ve tried are just ok… the avocado burrito, enchilada, ceviche. I’d stick with the Panzon or Campos Special burritos. They give you generous portions for relatively inexpensive prices… $ 6 – 8 entrees. Campos is tucked in the corner of a little strip mall(look for the 7 – 11 in the same lot). There’s always been a parking spot open when we go. They do have tables and TVs if you prefer to eat in.
