Came by late in the afternoon. Service was good and our House Special Burrito was delicious. We ordered the guacamole. Perfect! Nice atmosphere. Clean

After seeing all the good reviews and pictures of this place, me and my friend had really high expectations coming here. The restaurant is really cute and welcoming, it’s clean and the servers are nice and polite. However, they did made a lot of mistakes on our order, like I told him to substitute rice with salad he substituted beans instead, said we took the signed copy receipt but it was underneath another one and they overlooked it, and also it was around 11:30 am in the morning and they already run out of pork and cheese pupusa because someone placed a really big order. The food was good and the portion is nice too. I would be more satisfied if I randomly chose to dine here, but I have to say I was a little disappointed and think this place may be a little overrated

My friend had his birthday party at Glorias last night. The restaurant was packed but Gloria and her staff were the best. We had papusas, slow cooked pork and chicken. The plantains were the best Ive had. If you want a variation of the typical Mexican food I highly recommend Glorias. Watch out for the outside lights not to be on. Can be hard to find

I just love this place! If you’re lucky enough, say hi to Gloria! The food is amazing, but unfortunately, the Regia beer takes a little to used to. But, at least its 32oz! Everyhting is good here. Simple, elegant home food brought over to the restaurant makes for the perfect neighborhood hangout. The Seven Seas Soup! Everyones favorite, and a great photo ops when you see those big ass crab legs trying to jump out of the bowl! And what the chicken quesadilla is just what is should be. Flavorful, tender… yum… my way!

This place is the bombbbbbbbb. My friend took me here my first time — had no idea about it and was kind of sketched out by the small storefront and weird parking. BUTYOUGUYS it was amazing! Fast foward a few weeks — BF& I were trying to decide on a dinner and was cruising around this page and saw the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives references. Watched the video and my boyfriend was like«yes, we have to go now.» It was pretty late, maybe an hour or so before they closed, but we never felt rushed. I even tried to pay early and Gloria told us to take our time. Generous portions, delicious food. One of my neighborhood staples. My faves(I stick with the meats, obvi): — Bistec Encebollado — Carne Adobada(spicy!) — Steak Picado — GUAC! Simple, delicious, and no cilantro! Parking: There’s a parking lot — small but never had trouble finding parking, although I’ve only been on weekdays and near closing on weekends.

Great service, seated quickly, warm atmosphere. People have great memory at taking order without writing down. Popusas are delicious. Definitely go again soon!

Dumpy location. No parking. Rude staff. Dirty tables, menus, glasses. We ordered appetizers and drinks. Extremely limited wine selection. Pupusa was OK but that’s basically a grilled cheese, so if it isn’t out of this world, it’s just — yeah, a grilled cheese. Don’t recommend. Found this to be very highly over-rated.

A really nice hidden gem here in Los Angeles. The salsa was good. Not the best, but no complaints. The chicken house burrito was pretty good. I’m down to go back again. But I’m not itching to get back there. Service is really good.

Excellent latin american food! Unassuming location next to a Metro PCS but once you sit inside its pretty cozy and quaint. The pupusas are on point, herb and cheese was my favorite. The garlic shrims was pretty great. Also had a dish with steak and it was cooked really well. The fresh corn tortillas are a nice touch, cant wait to come back here. The chips and salsa are delicious and free!

Mi fiancé and I are regulars here, and this review is long overdue. The food is always amazing and we try to order new things every time, but our favorites are the Plato Tipico, fajitas, chile relleno and enchiladas. The staff is great. Gloria, the owner always greets us personally and the waiters are prompt, polite and even know where we like to sit. We recommend this place to all our friends, it’s a great place to bring a big group of people as well. Thanks guys and see you soon!

Awesome Mexican and El Salvadorian food. As a burrito lover my favorite is the House Special burrito plate with chicken. A huge monster burrito that can satisfy my huge appetite. This place is well known for its seafood soup as mentioned on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Gloria, the owner is always there and friendly to her customers. I definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican and Salvadorian foods. Their pupils as are pretty good too.

I went to this place a couple weeks ago with my husband and was quiet impressed! Service was nice. The server was attentive and friendly. Talking about food it was amazing especially considering the prices! The steak that I ordered was flavorful and without any fat which is important for me. Btw salsa and chips were delicious as well! We even got a second plate of chips. The cocktails were too sweet for me but it’s common problem at Mexican restaurants. They just prefer sweeter cocktails. Btw I’d like to say that cocktails cost 5 $ each. Rarely can find prices like that. We are definitely coming back! Good thing we live 10 min away from the restaurant:)

Came in for a late Sunday brunch. They bring out chips and salsa to the table which is nice, but I’ve had better. Love that they have a $ 15 bottle of champagne and carafe of OJ. Perfect for brunch! We ordered the fish soup, whole fried fish and garlic fish filet. Soup was made with cat fish and tasted really good. Great broth! Whole fried fish was tilapia and it was surprisingly a big size fish. The garlic filet was also tilapia and tasted pretty good. Both came with beans and rice. I really enjoyed everything we had but tilapia would not have been my first choice… wish they had a different white fish. Still overall everything was really good and service was great. Nice local spot!

Wow, this restaurant is good. Really good. I got the carnitas with sauce and is was delicious. Amazing flavor and incredibly tender. The warm tortillas are perfect for making your own little tacos or burritos. I will definitely be back soon and can’t wait to try something else.

This place is delicious! I’ve been hoping to find a good restaurant that has my favorite Salvadorian food, Pupusas. The price is great and the service is fantastic. I highly recommend one of the variety of Pupusa plates they have to offer, which come with rice and beans. There is one with yucca, and I love yucca! My favorite pupusa is the cheese and herb one. They are all really good, but try that one for sure! The pitcher of sangria is really good and great price as well. There is parking available in the little shopping area it is located, or street parking, however that is tough to come by. It is family friendly and feels very cozy, almost like you’re visiting your Latino friend’s grandmother’s house for some delicious food.

After seeing the great reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to try this place. I ordered the chicken tacos and my boyfriend got a wet burrito with salsa verde. On the phone, one of the older women that worked here was sooooo sweet! She was helping us choose what to order and was very patient with us. When we came to pick up our food, the same sweet woman was handing us our food. She checked each box to make sure the order was correct. She is way too adorable and I wish I got her name!!! Basically all of the stars are for this woman because of her great customer service! I wish she ran every restaurant ever. On to the food: it was just ok. Pretty bland tacos. The chips and salsa tasted like they bought them from the store. Honestly, it’s just not my favorite Mexican spot in the area as I’ve had much better.

I would have loved to make this our regular authentic Mexican place. However, we didn’t care for their refried beans. It lacked salt and it tasted towards the sweet side. For all it’s worth though, service was wonderful, the fried tilapia was delicious and their Chardonnay was surprisingly not bad. In a nutshell, two stars because of the refried beans. I mean, they are already refried, they should taste delicious. Plus I always have beans with my Mexican food not only bc it goes well with the rest but beans are healthy – they are rich in protein, fiber and antioxidants.

Glorias Café, a cute hidden Mexican/Salvadorian restaurant off Venice Blvd is worth a visit. Affordable food with great flavor. I’d stick with their signature plate/dishes such as Carne Adobada, Pupusas, Chicharones, and the Seven Seas soup. A couple of us got enchiladas and Chile relleno but we were a bit disappointed(reason for one less star). Also, service was a bit slow and some of our orders were wrong. Not huge mistakes but did effect our dining experience.(One less star) Overall, food was flavorful, fresh, and hot to the table. Stick with what they’re known for and you’ll be satisfied.

My new favorite local place for chili rellano, pupusas, and adobado(4 stars for food). Parking is challenging, there is a small lot, and street parking is limited because of the high residential neighborhood(1 star). Customer service was good and very friendly(4 stars). Fair prices for the amount of food you receive. The ambience is casual, nice clean establishment. Good for groups. We were promptly greeted, seated, and served homemade salsa,(which had just the right amount of chili kick) with a bowl of tortilla chips. We had to try one each of the 4 pupusas(4 stars for pupusas). The herb cheese was our favorite followed by the meat and beans. They were not overly stuffed and not greasy. The chili rellenos were huge, nicely fried not greasy good flavor and not smothered in sauce so they weren’t soggy(5stars for rellenos). The adobado was great in flavor. The hostess asked me if I wanted it spicy… heck yes! It was just right. I didn’t have to add anything. They lost a point because the meat was very lean and a bit dry, but the sauce made up for the dryness(4 stars for adobado) The beans were excellent. The rice was OK. No flavor, but at least it was not over/undercooked(3 stars for the rice). I will definitely come back to try other items from the menu

We came here with our friends last night. I have been wanting to try it for a while. Parking is a little difficult but we found spots on the side street. Once inside, we were seated and immediately got chips and salsa, and our drink orders were taken. The salsa was nice and spicy. Our food came out fairly quickly. I ordered chicken enchiladas which were very good. They tasted a little different than most places, but I couldn’t put my finger on the difference. My friend got the carne adobada, which she said was very good. My hubby got the bistec encobolado which he liked too. The only one who was less than thrilled was our other friend, who had the Salvadoran special, which he found a little bland. I’m giving 4 stars because after we had our food, the service pretty much stopped. Two of the meals were supposed to come with tortillas, which we had to ask for and came near the end of the meal. Waters were never refilled. It took about 15 minutes for my box to arrive to take my leftovers. Only about half of the restaurant was filled, so it’s not like they were that busy. I would like to come by again to try more items, like the carne adobada.

4 Sterne. Lebte ich hier, würde ich wiederkommen.
