Great local liquor store. Very solid selection of craft beer which is what brought me there. Unfortunetly, didn’t have what I was looking for, but I was still impressed. Will keep in the mental rolodex for another day.

A bit more expensive than others… for beer, anyway.

This is my favorite type of store. Liquor and Lotto tickets galore! I also bought some chips. Had a blast, felt like a champ! Kept the train rollin’!

I hate this place with a passion now. This place is owned by some rude people. They’re so racist! Most the kids at Culver Middle and High hate these guys. Anyways let me give you a scenario: One day back in Middle School my friends and I decided to be «badass» and ditch school. we had no where to go and my friend had money, long story short. we ran out the MS thru the HS gates and headed towards the liqour store. Upon arriving the cashier followed us towards the back(we were all getting frapps) and followed us around the store til we came to the register. We weren’t stealing. like fo reals? Then my other friend was deciding whether to get food or drinks(she only had a couple of bucks) so it took her long to choose, the cashier/owner came up to her and said«pick or get out» that’s just really damn rude. During the same week, we went back again. This time he didn’t follow us, but he started talking to his wife in Hindi(I could understand some of it, since my babysitter was a mix of Pak/Indo and had taught me) he basically told her to keep and eye on us since we were going to steal since we were«mexican».whoa I’m not mexican and none of my friends were either. Racist! :( Then during eight grade year, afterschool, all us friends decided to go there(idk why we keep going back. its the closest I guess) we all got something to eat but I didn’t .as I was waiting with my friend in line, the male owner came out and said«are you buying something? And I said no. He told me to get out the store in a rude and bitchy tone. That was really offensive and mean. You shouldn’t run a place if you don’t have good customer service and always seem to be on your frikkin period and for the record you live in america. don’t be racist.

Love this neighborhood market. Has a bit of everything. Prices are great for cereal, milk & snacks. Big selection of alcohol at reasonable prices too. Owners are friendly and I’m a regular! Rather go here than 7 – 11! Support the local small business owners. Corner of Braddock & Overland in the little strip mall. Need cat food? Got it. Need laundry detergent? Good it. Need light bulbs? Yep again. batteries, toilet cleaner, slushies, pickles… Yep, Yep, Yep, Yep again! oh…and hot coffee too All in all, much better selection than 7 – 11 and patronizing a local business so add more stars. Here you can’t go wrong.

I really like this place. The man is very nice and they have a great selection of premium beverages and spirits. They have some good specials from time to time but if you are just looking to get drunk this is not your spot per se. They carry a great selection of quality ales, Chimay! They also have great wines for the sommelier in you! If you like Sake they have that too! Wonderful place in a very residential place in Culver City!

Convenient location(for me), decent wine choices for decent prices, BUT the owner guy!!! HENEEDSSOMEPERSONALITY or something. He does not appreciate his customers! My neighbor refuses to go in there — even if he just wants a quick 6 pack, on his way to a party… because of that owner guy. The neighbor just feels like the owner guy doesn’t deserve his business. –Karen

People in this area stop here just because it’s conveniently located, on Overland between Culver and Jefferson, at Braddock. There’s parking right in front when it isn’t crowded. Since there’s a cleaners, Tom’s Chili, and comic book store in the little strip mall, there is sometimes nowhere to park except on Culver Blvd. Lots of kids in the store after school hours. It’s a pretty run down place, with everything jammed together, crowded aisles, etc. But they have lots of stuff and if you need something in a pinch, it will do. As with all mini marts, the prices are more than you’d pay in a grocery store. Run by some Indians who never smile.(In India, it is considered impolite to smile at someone you don’t know. It’s good to know these kinds of things so you don’t think the people are being rude. But I’m sure it doesn’t help their business.) Threw Joey in the car and ran down to get a Sunday paper and was back in a flash. Let’s hear it for local business!

i have grown comfortable with the family that owns this place. HOWEVER, i laughed when i read the review below me because i have also experienced incorrect change, and paying higher prices for beer than what is advertised in the window… whenever you question it, he says«price just come up»… he has an great selection of beer and wine, and he even has toilet paper for the morning after… i would still go here before going to any 7 – 11 store… ps. the owners are Indian, not Persian…
