I love stone oven! People please don’t always judge mall food as mall food. It’s so yummy and different from some main dishes you eat regularly, so so refreshing every time i eat it. I like the toasted sandwage, hmmm~~ ;)

Really shitty customer service. Thee cashier screwed up my order. When I tried telling her she just stood there looking at me but didn’t bother to come anywhere near the cashier.

Food takes FOREVER. Very slow for a food court venue. Dozens of people loitering in front of the register because they’re all waiting for their food. If you’re going to a food court mall your best bet is something super quick or walk out to one of the full service restaurant options. Food is good but it’s not worth the wait here. 27 mins for food court food? Ridiculous.

I stopped at Westfield Culver City so I could hit Target and Best Buy at the same time. That mall is NOT user friendly! However, one bright point was my stop on the dining terrace where I decided to try Stone Oven… they were making the bread for the sandwiches right in front of me and as it was coming out of the over it looked so good I had to try it. I went with the bbq chicken sandwich and got the basil pasta side and a lemonade. Everyone behind the counter was working very quickly but they put the sandwiches and salads together as you order them so it takes a bit — maybe 5 minutes of standing around — to get your order. But it was worth it. My chicken sandwich was incredibly tasty, great mix of flavors, the bread did not disappoint, I really loved it, especially for food court type food! The pasta side was great. The portion size was more than ample for the price. The«fresh squeezed» lemonade was on the sweet side, but for the price at least they gave me a BIG cup. Honestly, I’m going to try to avoid going back to that mall, it is tough to get around in there. But if I do go, Stone Oven will be where I stop to eat… I’ll also keep my eyes peeled for any other locations they have!

Man look. The moment I saw goat cheese and bacon in a salad I was sold. I ordered the goat cheese chicken salad, and it was everything I needed and more: Mixed greens, grilled chicken breast, goat cheese, bacon, red onions, avocado, dried cranberries, roasted cashews, and honey balsamic dressing. Yum! The food was fresh, it comes with hot bread and the portion was generous. I only wish the goat cheese was more plentiful than just the crumbles it came with. I’ll be back though

I didn’t realize that I had been to a Stone Oven in Bonita CA until I went to write a review and it said, «update your review.» That said, I’m shocked at myself that I ordered the exact same sandwiches from 2011… and I like to think that I like to try new things!!! So I didn’t really have a problem with the sandwiches in Bonita and I was more ticked at the sales people who harass you there. This mall in Culver City, while not being known as a great mall, is leaps and bounds better than Bonita! Onto the food… it was hot tasty and the portion sizes are generous. I got the spicy chicken which I thought was phenomenal and better half thought too spicy. Good… more for me! We also tried the basil garlic with avocado… equally delicious. The bread is fresh and apparently so tasty you can order that alone. The side salads are large and included with each sandwich. I may have to get over my dislike for Bonita mall and get my focaccia sandwich fix again soon!

Mall food? Really? Me? Yes. For what ever reason, this anti-mall person found herself at an actual mall.(I know, right??) It was around lunch, and Unilocal did me right again. A quick Unilocal search directed me here. This food court seems pretty modern. It reminded me of a mall in Vancouver, BC that I visited a few years back.(I digress) Anyway, back to the food. Yes. Mall food actually done right. Prices were reasonable and the selection of salads and sandwiches were impressive. Sandwiches are served on soft and fresh focaccia bread. Salads are fresh and crisp… with a side of that killer focaccia bread. Portions were generous. Not that I will ever really find myself back at this mall… but if I do… I know where to go for a meal.

Never disappoints. Their sandwiches and salads are always very good, especially for being at the mall. Being around all these other sloppy joints, this place is one of the few that you can count on. The bread, first of all, is so good. I’ve had all kids of salad here and it’s always been really yummy.

Literally just grabbed lunch there to go. I ordered the chicken club sandwich with a side of pasta for about $ 8& it was delicious! the chicken has a good flavory taste and the beans & corn took the sandwich to another level. I was tired of subway downstairs and read reviews that convinced me to try it. So glad I did! Can’t wait to come again.

LOVE this place! I always love their food here, and this location is no different. From the quality of the food, to the freshness, to the size(big salad!), to the taste, everything is always on point here. This place DEFINITELY stands out as the only healthy option here at this food court, everything else is pretty bleh. I got the BBQ chicken salad without bacon or cheese to share and it was so good! I also don’t usually like white bread since I eat pretty healthy, but this bread is fresh(you can see them making it in the oven) and hot! I love it. 5 stars!!!

I love Stone Oven! The southwest chicken ceasar salad is the bomb! I always get that and only get that whenever I come here. Sometimes the food takes a little long when you’re waiting for the bread to cook. Sometimes, they skimp on the sauce, but overall so awesome and lovely. The corn chowder that they have right now is pretty good too! Boyfriend gets the beef brisket sandwich and he loves it. Always gets it with the potato salad.

Location: In the Westfield Culver City Shopping Mall, or Fox Hills as most of us locals still know it, Stone Oven is in the food court area. Plenty of parking since its located in a mall. If you park on the 3rd or 4th levels there is a door directly into the food court for easy access and quick food to go food pick ups. The mall itself is also visible off the 405 freeway and close to the entrance/exit. Service: Stone Oven is a counter service restaurant — you order at the register, get a number and wait for your number to be called. The thing I appreciate about this place is that you can still watch your food being prepared and jump in to ask for changes if necessary. Today we watched them make our salads and when we saw him putting the hot bread on the cold salad, walked up to the bar and asked if he could put the bread in a bag instead. He very nicely complied. Food is made relatively quickly and we’ve not encountered a rude person here yet. No complaints. Food: We’ve tried a few things here but mostly I keep going back to my standard order — the goat cheese salad BUT with feta instead of the goat cheese. It’s always funny to order it since GOATCHEESE is in the name, but whatever. It also has cranberries, red onion, avocado, chicken, and bacon. Delicious. There is also an apple and chicken salad which is almost as good. The sandwiches are very nice too if only for the fact that they come on that delicious bread they make in their STONEOVEN. If you try only one thing here, you MUST have bread. Overall: We’ll be back for my goat cheese(not really) salad soon!

They really have good food here, especially the bread. But I have to drop another star from their rating because the line is just too long and they won’t do anything about it. There’s two cash registers but they won’t ever staff the place well enough to have both going. I’m just not going to wait in line 15 minutes on top of the 5 or 10 minutes I’ll have to wait afterwards. Especially not in a food court.

Sandwiches come with side item: garden salad, caesar salad, pasta salad, potato salad $ 7.99 for the Garlic & Basil Chicken Sandwich — chicken breast, swiss cheese, avocados, garlic/basil mayo. The focaccia bread was warm and not stiff like at some substandard sandwich shops. Pretty decent as far as food from a mall food court goes.

The Skinny: It’s food court food, so don’t expect much. It is a good alternative to the other surrounding options, though. Environment: They are located on the pseudo-third floor in the mall in the food court area with every other food joint. The area is obviously kept clean, but they have clear panels for everything so you can see everything they’re doing. Nice touch. Service: Sloooooow. I’m not too happy that they were slow at getting our orders ready. Granted, we had a large order, but there were only 2 people in front of us so it should not have taken 20 minutes. The individuals who work here are very nice and friendly but they need to pick up their speed if they want to serve the super crowded mall strollers. Food: Usually I get some sort of salad here, and the salads are pretty large portioned. They do a decent job with the salad and sauces, but I kind of wish they wouldn’t put too much of their bread in every salad tray. Other than that, solid food. Overall: 3⁄5 Quicker service and less bread please. That would improve them enough to be more crowd friendly. Otherwise, they are a solid option that I still gravitate towards in the food court.

Ordered a tuna sandwich and a salad on the side. The salad was okay but I was definitely picking around the brown wilted leaves. I didn’t realize this was a mall food court place because someone at the office made a large to go order, but if I’d known I wouldn’t have ordered the tuna sandwich. One bite was enough to not want to eat any more. I know they have other locations but i’m not inclined to give them another try.

I think Stone Oven sells some of the best sandwiches you can buy. Everything is always made to order; this ensures it’s fresh quality. The bread is also handmade so it’s always hot, fresh and warm. This is great food court food I’m truly addicted to these awesome sandwiches and salads

Must say I’m pretty impressed for a food court restaurant, but the Westfield Culver Cty mall has some pretty high competition here. Stone Oven sells sandwiches and salads, with the bread fresh from the oven. The food here is really good, and you can smell the bread baking as you walk by which lures you in. The sandwiches are all $ 8 each, and range from beef brisket to several types of chicken, and ham and vegetarian. I usually avoid wheat but treat myself every now and then. This is definitely a treat and the fresh foccacia bread is enough to make a Unilocaler forget to take a picture of his sandwich before eating it! Nevertheless, I highly recommend the beef brisket sandwich, which contains avocados and cheddar cheese on tender beef, along with onion rings and chipotle mayo. Really tasty combination of textures and flavors which meld well together. It also comes with a small salad and fills you up nicely. In the Westfield Mall so plenty of parking unless it’s the week before Christmas. You can also park across the street at Marshalls if you don’t want to deal with Mall parking, but don’t tell anyone.

Rating: 38⁄100 pts When it comes to mall food, choices are limited, and in looking for something at least somewhat humane, I gave Stone Oven a try on a couple of occasions during my pre-Yelp days. The menu consists of salads and sandwiches that each hover around $ 8. All salads come with foccacia bread that is freshly baked from the stone oven(easily the best part of the meal). Sandwiches also use said foccacia bread and come with your choice of side(pasta, salad, etc). Although you order a salad to go the healthy route, what you get is basically some greens that are over-inundated with high-calorie cheeses, indulgent toppings, and bitingly sweet dressings, which do more toward appeasing your taste buds than providing a healthy meal. What’s worse is that the greens aren’t all that fresh to begin with. Also, since 1⁄3rd of the plate is taken up by the bread, the salads are basically disassembled sandwiches that only make you think you are eating healthy. Submitting to the fact that healthy eating at this food court is all but a forlorn cause, I otherwise did not find the quality of the sandwiches good enough to justify repeated visits. Still, I realize the prospect of eating at a food court means resorting to the least of several evils, and in this respect I’ll leave you with the positive points: the above-mentioned foccacia bread is good, and portions are filling.

This mall has a decent food court, with at least 15 different store fronts. I’ve always wanted to try Stone Oven, and today was the day. They had the longest line, which is usually a barometer for the best food, at least in a mall food court. I got the tuna salad sandwich, which did not disappoint. For starters, it was made using their freshly baked bread(hence Stone Oven), which resembles a cross between a pita, and a ciabatta. They then add a good portion of tuna, some lettuce, onions, and fresh tomatoes. It was good, but I must admit, the best part was the side salad. I picked the potato salad which was fantastic, it had hints of dill, and perfectly prepared slices of potato. For about $ 8.50 I found myself sufficiently stuffed. Because the oven requires extra time to bake the bread, and the high demand for their food(lines), it takes almost 10 minutes for your order to come up. To their credit, everyone was working hard, and doing their best to process the orders, so the wait is not attributed to a lack of effort, just that good things take some time.
