Everything seemed to go OK. The inspector was very personable, but he was not thorough at all. After I moved into the house I discovered all sorts of issues that should have been caught by the inspector. I understand they can;t find everything, but he didn’t find some very basic things! Things that according the contractors I have had to hire should have been caught. Do not use OMAR from Walsh home inspections!

Walsh Inspection came to inspect our home for our buyer in June, nothing unusual was reported. When we went down into our cellar a few days later we discovered that the insulation in the ceilings had been pulled down in places, and actually some pieces were thrown on the cellar floor. Our realtor discussed this issue with Mr. Walsh asking them to fix the mess they left. Walsh refused and even stated he didn’t do the damage. (Yet our realtor had walked walked through the cellar prior to his inspection and all insulation was intact.) He was told that his company would not be used again and would not be recommended to another client, his response was he didn’t care.
I do not recommend this inspection company. My own inspector was shocked to hear what was done to our home and said he would never be so invasive, as it opens up many other issues that can come back at you.

Just had a home inspected by Walsh Home inspections, inspectors name was Louie. I was very impressed with his knowledge, interest, and effort put into the inspection. He was very thorough going above and beyond my expectations. Im confident knowing that he didnt leave any leaf unturned. Wasnt afraid to pull out his tool box and take things apart or crawl into tight spaces to get the answers. Poked the entire sill plate and found some rot that otherwise couldnt be seen. He took photos of all his concerns even if they were minor and emailed us with his results. Well rounded knowledge in all trades. I would highly recommend this inspector and would plan to use him again in the future if needed.

i have a home for sale, walsh home inspections did in fact view my home. although «louie» was professional and did a fine job inspecting the home HE FAILED TO REPORT PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED BY LOUIE DRIVING OFF A RETAINING WALL.
he at the end of the inspection, witnessed by a tenant of my own, drove off a retaining wall causing damage. his vehicle had to be lifted onto the driveway by a tow truck.
after this incident you would think he would feel obligated to report any/all damages caused by this incident.
to date i have not been contacted.

I had my new condo inspected by Michael Walsh in the beginning of May. I highly recommend his services. He was very thorough and explained things in an easy and informative manner. He was on time, actually early and had already done the outside inspection before I got there. His website is very user friendly and confirmations are sent immediately. I also got the inspection report emailed to me within hours of the inspection. He’s the type of guy that I could easily call with any questions or concerns. Also, I had prepaid with a credit card and during the inspection he advised that I did not need a service that I had prepaid for. My c/c was credited for that amount. Good guy!
