I had a good experience here a couple weeks ago and may have found the place I’ll be going to for years to come. Located near the intersection of 27 and 32 near FastMax, Cynthiana Dental Center is probably the largest dental center in Cynthiana. It is also modern, clean, and friendly. All the ladies working behind the receptionist desk(there were several because this seems like a busy place!) were upbeat and helpful, which made me feel welcome. I originally went in for a consultation on suspected cavities. Since I made the appointment on a day when most of the county shut down due to snowy weather, there were many cancellations and they were able to keep me longer for a cleaning. Sweet. I was there for nearly two hours, which seemed kind of long, but that included consultation, x-rays, waiting, cleaning, more x-rays, and what seemed like complete treatment. Everyone was pleasant. I didn’t mind. The only thing that threw me off were the amount of people that attended to me. I think I had two different people do xrays and two different dentists actually work on me. Or maybe only one of them was the actual dentist, and the other was a hygenist/assistant/whatever. I don’t know! But, everyone was nice… except for the person that I think was the actual dentist. She was very short with me, and kept forgetting to look at me when she talked to me(everyone else was very understanding of my need to see faces to ‘hear’). The few times she did face me, she was very exaggerated in her pronounciation and just did not look happy. At least she gave me a smile before she left the room. At the end of my appointment, I was given a printout of all the expected procedures for the year to come, with pricing information alongside. I appreciated that because it gave me a heads up on what I needed done(cavities filled and wisdsom tooth removed) with an estimated timeline and costs. I’ll be back in a few weeks to get some cavities filled. Whee!
