This is our favorite place. Always friendly, always good food. Not a lot of space, but always room for you. Worth the wait(if any). Recommend to anyone!

Probably the worst service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We were a big group, the waitress wouldn’t even split the check, instead we had to figure out how expensive what we ate was, without any help from the staff. All they cared about was getting the money. The owner didn’t say anything at all when we were talking about how bad the service was. The waitress treated us all very badly, had an attitude, rolled her eyes and made comments under her breath. Horrible experience. The food was also mediocre for the price. Would not recommend and never returning.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a thin crust pizza and a couple of beers. The pizza was fantastic. Crust was perfect, nice and crisp without being burnt. I then came in by myself and sat at the bar and ordered a beer and the Chicken Parm… OMG soo good. I talked with the owner Dominic for a while, he as well as the staff were very nice people. I’ll be going back here again.

We LOVE this place! They have amazing food and we love the atmosphere and service. You can tell its family owned and run and we love that as well! Try it out! We love the calzones and Stromboli. We also left our Togo box and turned around to go get it and they saved it for us even after cleaning our table!

The pizza was not very appetizing. There was nothing about it that stood out above any other ordinary pizza. Definitely not the best pizza in the area.

OK, we kept driving by this pizza place, so we met some friends there a couple of weeks ago to check it out. We got the large Joe Bonanno(Kitchen Sink) and it was delicious, the crust was excellent and the toppings plentiful and nicely spread out so you got a little of most toppings in every bite. We will be going back again, in fact, I’m going to order a to go order for tonight.

Saw this place and had been wanting to try it for some time. My wife and I stopped in 2 weeks ago and had a Chicago Style pizza. It was awesome! Will definately be back to try the a New York Style next time, but that won’t be my last deep dish from this place.

This is the real deal. Because it blows me away, I can’t seem to veer from the the Pizza(Chicago with ground beef, Pepperoni and mushrooms is my go-to) to venture out and try other menu items. Service is a little sketchy due to minor mistakes but the friendliness and attentiveness trumps it all. This place is a staple of mine… I just need to change up my game to another entrée. A definite 4 star review for me.

The best pizza in town! The portion sizes are great and the spaghetti with meatballs and hot dogs are great as well. Me and the kids love this place.

YUMMY!!! So happy I decided to give this place a try!!! Such a different from all the others around here it seems more fresh and healthier not as oily and soggy like the others, the pizza was thin and crispy, the calzone was very good I just was missing the cup of sauce, idk if the forgot it or it doesn’t come with sauce! Overall YOUGOTTOTRYIT!!!

I like the pizza here, well enough. Not the best in Houston, which sets a very low bar for pizza, but OK. Being from Chicago, I can say the«Chicago-style» really isn’t, the sauce is good, they are a bit chintzy with toppings, and the cheese is never caramelized, even when I ask for it extra done. Crust is OK, if a bit too doughy. My husband and I have been pretty loyal customers, despite it not being that great. I have to say I’m a little peeved that after accumulating 9 punches on a «Lunch Club» card, I was told today that they discontinued it on 3⁄31(which is BS, because we’ve been here since then and got a punch, but, whatever). It’s these little cheapy things that will drive loyal customers away. I hope the owner pays attention.

I must begin by saying… WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW OK, now that I got that out of my system… I ordered the calzone and my wife ordered the Stromboli. We decided to share half of each to try both out. Now I’ve had calzones where there was more air and bread than actual toppings. In fact, most places serve what looks like a deficient hot pocket *BARF* Not here! The calzone was stuffed with ricotta cheese and I asked for fresh spinach in mine. Did I mention it was stuffed? The Stromboli was no joke either! Balance of yum yum and other goodness that made me wanna slap my momma! Two Stromboli’s and a calzone came to 35 bucks including a salad. I’m going back! They have Real New York style pizza! I dare you to try it!!!

The pizza is delicious! It is a 15 – 20 minute wait for the pizza, but well worth it. The price matches the high quality of ingredients. The only thing I didn’t like us I wanted a NY thin crust slice, but they only gave the Chicago deep dish in slices, so I had to get a whole pizza to get what I wanted. It was just more for leftovers the next day, though.

Really great pizza & pasta. This place has a warm great feel to it. We got chicken fettuccine alfredo, lasagna and a Chicago pizza. All of the food was fresh and really good. I would definitely recommend this place for any past or pizza. Super good!!!

My husband and I stopped in for the first time today. We sat down and ordered within 5 minutes. We ordered a salad and got it very fast then waited a good 30 minutes for our pizza. By this time both tables that came in after us had already gotten their pizza. We waited a little longer but my husband had to get to work so we asked them to box it up, and got the pizza within about 5 minutes. We drove about 5 minutes down the road to work and opened the box up to eat. The dough was still raw and the pizza was inedible. When our waitress dropped off the pizza she apologized and said that they usually took about 20 – 25 minutes to cook. Yet our pizza cooked for at least 30 minutes and was still raw? Either way it was a $ 35 meal that we didn’t even get to eat. Will not be returning, but I will say that they had really good service.

Mediocre. There are thousands of restaurants in Houston and if a restaurant doesn’t take pride in making the little details taste great, I won’t be back. Do not get ice tea unless you like brown, flavorless water. Do not order a salad because the ingredients are of low quality(mandarin oranges that have been place from a can straight onto a plate, government grade shredded cheese, iceberg lettuce, etc) and it’s over priced. I’d happily pay $ 9-$ 12 for a salad if its high caliber but I was left highly disappointed and with no desire to return. The sense of customer service was also lacking. Onto the next.

We tried this today and really enjoyed it. My wife had a small NY-style veggie pizza. The crust was thin and it was loaded with cheese and veggies: she was a happy camper. I got the meatball parm and found it tasty and filling. I had enough sandwich left to box it and eat the rest for dinner. The place was about 60% full on a Saturday afternoon but service was prompt and courteous. I’d give it 5 stars but the fries that came with the sandwhich were kind of bland and the sandwich was way too hot for me to eat it until my wife was almost done eating. Still though, happy to have tried this place. We look forward to ordering pizza their on a Sunday some time because Wood Fired is closed.

I’m reviewing a pizza place where I have actually never had the pizza. I always get stopped at the 12 inch New york style dog that is to die for. Service js extraordinary and the food is just so amazing. One of these days I should really try the pizza! I’d recommend this place to anyone!

If you’ve never been to Chicago, IL and have never tasted«authentic» deep dish pizza from places like Giordano’s and Gino’s East, then you have no idea what good deep dish pizza is. The young waitress we had, very sweet and intelligent. Everyone else kind of sucked, very obnoxious. But on to the pizza; worst representation of Chicago pizza. Tasted more like store bought pizza. The crust– doughy and burnt. A real deep dish pizza has a crust similar to a «pie». You know, thick and flaky. Toppings were not evenly spread, and the taste was just disappointing. So again, if you’ve ever been to Chicago, then I would not recommend this place at all– STAYAWAY.

Came in on a Saturday night for dinner. I had a small NY crust pizza that was very good. Plenty of cheese with the toppings and good crust. The restaurant is somewhat small but has a nice feel to it. Several TVs were available for watching. Table service was very good. I came back a week later and tried the spaghetti with meatballs for $ 9.95 and the salad for two dollars extra. The salad was excellent and well worth the price. The spaghetti with meatballs were good and with the bread that came with the meal was filling. Again my service was very good. On my third visit I decided to try the philly cheese steak sandwich that came with fries. I also added the good dinner salad. Again I enjoyed the salad. The sandwich was good but only worth a 3 as where the fries which were your standard frozen type. One thing about the sandwich, get the ½ sandwich which is plenty large enough for most people. The whole is massive. On my fourth visit I tried the lasagna and thought it was excellent. A strong 4. Large and cheesy and meaty. It came with their good warm bread too. On all 4 visits I have enjoyed the food. My faves would be the NY pizza and spaghetti and of course the lasagna. I believe that this restaurant serves 4 star food. P. S. The hamburger and fries for $ 6.95 was good in taste and value. Large hamburger with almost ½ lb patty with romaine lettuce. 3.5. I would order it again. I have seen previous reviews here that are pretty bad. I can’t explain why my experiences are different or what but I can tell you that all of my visits were enjoyable and will bring me back! I recommend!
