My first haircut in Cypress! Just started working in Cypress and needed a cut. Checked the reviews and ended up at Star Barber. I’m glad I did. Great cut, shampoo, price and yogurt drink.

I took my 2 year old grandson for his first trip to a barber shop. It was great. He loved it. Great haircut, and the lady was wonderful with him. My daughter will continue to go to star barber.

Got a haircut here couple months back. There were a line of people in front of me when I arrived. So with all the positive reviews on Unilocal and line of people, I felt pretty assured. However, be warned that this barber only knows how to do A specific style of cutting. I personally should have clarified more but lost more than half my hair getting it done here. Will not be coming back but make sure you SPECIFY what you want. They are also a fade specialist but not sure of anything else

This hair salon is by far one of the best because«mom»(it’s what I call her) gives a really good haircut and fade. She takes her time and I like how I leave with exactly what I requested. She also gives you a yogurt cup when you leave :) give it a try!

I really like this lady’s style of cutting! 101% ninja style, she uses all technique combining of buzzcutting and mostly cutting by scissors. From talking to her she is very humble, has been cutting hair for 46 years and had owned the business here for 23 years so she really loves what she does! The price is $ 15, a little pricey but totally worth it! She gives you a bonus shampoo hair was, with a relaxing head massage and then a nice little drink at the end to top it all of. Even on a Tuesday I had to wait for her to finish another person’s hair and also had somebody wait for me to be done so she is really popular, imagine how crowded it’ll be like during the weekends ! She closes on Sunday and Monday and opens on Tuesday– Saturday. Very awesome place. I would say it’s worth 20 mins to drive to her place!

I love this lady. She cuts your hair fluidly and skillfully. She does scissor work that I never seen before. She washes your hair and gives you a yummy yogurt drink at the end. Only thing that might be a problem with communicating what you want, sometimes she just does what she feels is best and for me I always loved the results. others may not prefer this.

This place rocks I’ve been following the Korean lady since Hawaiian Gardens, now here in Cypress. Best hair cut place around by far. Good prices and makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this place.

This lady is super barber… super clean… this place is just awesome … Price is 15 $ which is so reasonable to a scissor hair cut with washing your hair and a complimentary dessert :)

I drive from Northridge(about an hour with no traffic) to get my haircut from this lady, and it’s worth it everytime. Enough said.

Very friendly, quick service, and you get a Yakult at the end. Probably one of my best haircut experiences.

Only one word can describe this place: amazing! Clean, watch cable, sofa seating, kind lady, yogurt at the end, leave with the haircut you want! I would not go anywhere else!

I was looking for a new barber shop and I found this place, which is literally 5 min walking distance from my house. Had good reviews so I tried out; no regrets. She does great fade and for $ 15 total she includes shampoo. Not the cheapest place around but is definitely worth it.

Ohmahgerd. This lady is seriously the secret master of all that haircut greatness. In my 32 years of existence, I’ve never had a fade done with scissors. Then to finish the great cut, a drink to follow!!! Go here NAO!!!

One of the best haircuts I’ve had! It’s also the first time I’ve had someone smack my hand down when I went to check the length and told me «it perfect». Scissors only, very fast and only $ 15. She even told me the best way to comb my hair because the way I’ve been doing it for 26 years is all wrong… Great lady and a great cut.

I walked in, almost walked out cause there was a stone faced woman doing the haircuts. But I ended up waiting for the cut, and she did a really good job, and she was nice as well!

Quality: 5 Price: 5 Service: 5 Asian hair is notoriously terribly hard to style to those who aren’t experienced. I’ve tried a few other places but none can compare with the lady that runs this place. I agree with a review where they depicted the owner as a wizened old samurai lady — she does amazing fades. With scissors. Then gives you a yogurt drink at the end. I drive 20 minutes to see her. She mentions there are those who drive 45 min+ to see her and I frankly I’m not surprised. It’s $ 15 for a general guy’s haircut and I gladly tip her $ 5 every time. Also, she gives a brief neck rub and/or head rub during the trims. It’s nothing major but adds to the overall quality of service.

My how I missed the aroma of cigarettes on her fingers. I haven’t been to Star since she left Crescent and Moody 4 or 5 years ago. Foolishly, I didn’t follow and as a result have been settling for unsatisfying cuts for the past half decade. Fade including shampoo costs $ 15 but I would pay the fee just to watch. A kind, senior citizen who clearly takes her glucosamine and fish oil seriously because the lady can move. The dexterity of Edward Scissorhands especially as she circumnavigates the top of the fade with just a comb and shear. Poetry in motion. FYI — she will be closed July 4th — 8th.
