My son and I decided to give it a try, and neither of us enjoyed our burgers. The meat did not taste good on either of our burgers. I had the guacamole and swiss burger, and the cheese was not good either. Both of us tossed half of the burgers. The staff was pleasant and helpful although we got to our table with no utensils and had to ask for them.

Great service. Super friendly managers and staff. I loved everything we sampled. I could pass on the ahi tuna salad but the burgers are mighty fine.

Went to Becks Prime for the first time today. The inside was nice and clean, though surprisingly empty(only five or so other customers). The menu has a pretty wide range, but it is quite pricey. I bought«the kitchen sink» plate for $ 9.50. The description is «Chuck Patty, Sautéed Onions, Bacon, Swiss Cheese with Side of Guacamole, Lettuce & Tomatoes» which sounded pretty good. The lady at the counter said I could modify anything I wanted, so I asked for the guacamole on the side and to switch out tomatoes for some extra cheese, she said that would be fine. For over $ 10, it really wasn’t that much food. The patty was a pretty good size(just a standard hamburger patty), but it pretty much ended there. For starters, the guy who brought me my food said that they had added an extra scoop of guacamole(which was right on the food, not on the side), I’m not sure why. There were no tomatoes(like I asked), but still only one slice of cheese, so I’m guessing they just swapped out the tomatoes for extra guacamole. The amount of cheese and bacon is pretty laughable, one slice of cheese and one tiny strip of bacon is all I got. The whole thing was topped with what must have been a whole onion’s worth of chopped onion. On the side was a bit of shredded lettuce and the guacamole. For the amount of food, I could see paying $ 5, maybe $ 6, but definitely not $ 10, especially for a restaurant where you aren’t waited on(you walk up to a counter and order your food).

Becks prime is in order at the window type of restaurant. But don’t think twice about visiting here. This is my second visit and the food is amazing. it’s a casual atmosphere and I have not experienced a period where they are overly busy. there’s no hostess, no dress code, just seat yourself and order what you like.

meh. The beef was the highlight in my original burger, ordered with cheddar MR. Cooked just right, good flavor, nicely seasoned. The bun and fries were dumbed down chain quality stuff, ordinary and untoasted(bun) and luke warm(fries). Will not be back any time soon, so sad.

This was our first time at Becks Prime. Arriving at the restaurant I was not sure what I was expecting. However, the restaurant was set up like a fast food restaurant, with a sit down restaurant prices. The burgers were upwards of ten dollars and the fries were around three dollars additionally. Looking at the menu I was shocked to see steak dinners on the menu that were priced around $ 30. With all of that said, I was a little weary. However, I was BLOWNAWAY by the burger. I got a simple cheeseburger with mayo. But the favors were amazing. This was hands down the best burger I have eaten in quite awhile. I kept saying ‘yum’ after every bite. The fries were okay. Nothing spectacular. But I LOVED the burger. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I went to the November Elite event here and was pretty impressed. Hellow fancy burger jernt. Well, not«fancy» but it was pretty damn tasty and like 4 steps up quality wise(and price wise) from any other drive through burger place in town. Just a mere two days later I decided I HAD to have a cheeseburger cheeseburger for lunch. So I drove through on my way home from some errands. One order of fries, one bacon cheeseburger, one large drink was $ 16. Uh, ouch. It just adds up quickly, I told myself. I got home and opened the little box that held my burger and the smell was amazing. Enough to ‘rouse the cat out of his nap a room away to come check out what mama brought home. It was juicy, tasty perfection. Dammit, now I want another $ 16 drive through burger lunch. Damn you Beck’s Prime! ;)

Burger meat sets them apart. Hard to describe but its juicy, pink, tenderly ground, soft and billowy, and loosely melts apart. $ 8-$ 10 is well worth the meat texture. I am burger picky and if going to honor myself with an American Gold medal, I want it to be this meat and I want to devour it slowly. Just look at the meat consistency in the photo and you’ll know. All their food is made in house, no store bought. Meat is top choice certified angus beef house ground and grilled over mesquite coals, so tender and juicy. Bills Burger is my favorite burger and the prime tenderloin sandwhich with the mayo and crispy lettuce is worth the dough. delicious!

I recently went to Becks Prime and discovered an amazing burger :) The burger has a true beef flavor. It didn’t taste like some frozen slab that was warmed up. The bun was soft with a hint of flavor. I felt like the burger had plenty of all the ingredients. I also ordered a salad and I have to say their dressing fairs with that of premium restaurants. The homemade guacamole is fantastic. It’s smooth and creamy with no over powering flavors. I wouldn’t recommend the salsa though it’s a little too tomato-ie for me. The french fries tasted like true potatoes fried to crispy goodness. I however, would like to see them add some sort of seasoning to the fries as an option. :) The service and sanitation is perfect! I have seen quite a few reviewing complaining of the price and I think for fresh, never frozen, food the price is worth it. I think if you go to Chili’s or TGIF’s your burger doesn’t taste nearly as fresh or cooked as perfect and it’s the same cost if not a little higher at those places. Give this place a shot. Honestly, when I saw the banner outside that said voted one of Texas’ best burgers, I was skeptical because that’s a huge claim, but now I will say it is also in my top ten :)

We finally made it to Beck’s for a Unilocal Elite event, and what an awesome treat it was! Hubs and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried — hamburger(great sauce!), chicken sandwich(Hubs’ fav), ahi tuna sandwich(less than $ 10 on the menu!), chili cheese dog served on a hamburger bun(my fav — don’t judge until you try it), fries(solid), and filet samples(tasted great)! EVERYTHING is made fresh daily here — no freezers at this joint! I’ll be happy to pay an extra buck or two for food that fresh. The staff is very accommodating and passionate about the food and restaurant concept. I love that you can get a steak dinner in a drive-thru; how great is that?! We also learned about their amazing happy hour — Tuesday and Thursday 5 – 10PM $ 4 wines and $ 1 beer(including Texas beers and domestic)! Nice! See you then. I think it’s safe to say we’ll be back!

Good half pound burgers. Came here due to a Unilocal event and got to sample a lot of their menu items. From cheese burgers to steak sandwiches, the burgers were solid. My favorite honestly doe had to be the chicken sandwich. I’m telling you the chicken was as juicy as Angelina Jolie’s lips. I also got to try the chocolate milkshake. I wish they didn’t use hersheys syrup but instead real good quality chocolate, but hey it’s a fast food chain. The burgers are solid, but i’m not quite sure they justify the price for them. 8 – 9 dollar for a half pound burger when you can go to Olive Burger and get the same burgers for 5 dollars? Maybe i’m just being cheap or «price elastic», but that’s just my two cents. Yeah it’s not even a question, i’m just being cheap lol

My wife and I ate at Beck’s for the first time as part of a Unilocal Elite event. As a result, we got to try samples of several items on the menu — some of which we might normally not have tried. All in all, the food was really good. The Bill’s burger included grilled onions, cheese, a half pound of angus beef and their secret sauce. Juicy and good. The filet was buttery smooth. The salads crisp and fresh. The fries were good but nothing to write home about. And we finished with a small chocolate shake which was rich, rich, rich. As noted by other Unilocalers, Beck’s is a little pricey. But the quality is there as well as a diverse and upscale menu. If you want a burger, great. But you can also get ahi or a top notch filet. And you can get it at the drive thru on your way home. Not a bad concept indeed.

It’s a burger joint. Yes they have steak, but who are we kidding, it’s an overpriced burger joint. The burgers are good. And the BLT is pretty good, not as good as Pluckers, but still good. The prices are too high. I’m down with paying for a good hamburger, but $ 10? Really? That’s a little high. I’d say it’s a solid $ 7 burger but it’s not like they are glazing it in truffle oil or something. The atmosphere is one of those hybrid fast food service in a nice atmosphere kind of places. Not really a restaurant. And that disappointed me, because if I’m paying that much for food I wish to relax and enjoy it. Taking care of my own needs is way outside the range of possibility when I’m eating a $ 10 burger.

OK, which marketing genius decided to build a gigantic new burger chain from the ground up right here? Well, whoever did decide to do it probably has gotten their butt fired by now, at least judging by the lack of crowds whenever I have driven by or been here. Their burgers can range from pretty damn good(on one occasion) to in between decent &MEHH(on two other occasions), to a tuna sandwich that i bit through some kind of fibery thing in the middle of the tuna steak that basically pulled it completely out of my sandwich bun in one bite because my teeth /jawbones were not great-white-shark-powered enough to be able to cut though it. That fibery thing deserved that run-on sentence… it was that tough. Oh I forgot that you better make sure you speak with your financial advisor before coming here to make sure your portfolio will be able to weather the $ 16 or so it takes to get a burger, fries and a drink. A bit pricey unless it’s damn good every time, which in my experience it hasn’t been. Even after that lackluster review, I’m watching my email and if I get a coupon for Becks I’m going back. I think that first really good burger I had is lurking there somewhere in the recesses of that big expensive restaurant.

I had no expectations for Becks and this is what I learned… they grind the meat daily and use high quality beef. They flame grill the burgers and fresh cut the fries… sounds amazing, right? Can’t wait to bite into this yummy burger, right? Well… maybe. It lacked major flavor… bummer, I know. It was juicy and well cooked — generous ½ pd patty but no seasoning at all… bland. The lettuce is shredded and everything ended up a big sloppy mess in 5 minutes so my bun was all gross and falling apart… unappetizing and just sad. Oh yeah, and there are no combos here… gets pricy FAST. almost $ 3 just for fries. The fries were great… but that sloppy messy burger just left me disappointed. I’ll give it another shot possibly when I’m ravenous enough to eat a huge burger in 5 minutes.

Like most of the reviewers that have come before me, I decided to try out this new Becks Prime location solely based on the $ 10 gift card I got in the mail. Bad decision. First and foremost, Becks Prime is WAAYYYYY too expensive for what it is. A bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a small drink will run you $ 15. For my money, I’d rather go to Twisted Root down the street. Actually, I’d rather go to Whataburger. Their small drink is $ 2.25 and you get free refills, so I’m not sure why you would pay extra for a large cup(at least not while dining in). Although, getting a refill means you have to walk up to the counter and have them refill it for you. In my opinion, this is a poor business decision. None of their burgers come with fries, but you can add them for $ 2.65. If you want sweet potato fries, they’ll cost you $ 3.65. There is absolutely no reason for them to charge a dollar more for a different variety of root vegetable. Perhaps they need to renegotiate costs with their produce supplier. Even if the supply cost is actually higher for sweet potatoes, it’s bad business to charge more for them. For a place charging almost $ 10 for a burger, I was expecting something better than ground chuck. Chuck? Really? In terms of meat cuts, chuck has a lot of connective tissue(e.g. collagen), which tends to melt during cooking. This is why chuck steak is mostly used for braising, or for stews and pot roasts. Ground chuck is usually 80% meat, 20% fat. At these prices, they should at least be giving me ground sirloin. Because of the high fat content of my burger, the bun was completely soaked through with grease. This made it a little hard to eat, and was also exceptionally unappetizing. I realize they’re probably trading high prices for a larger quantity of food, but still. A ½ pound burger is a little unnecessary, especially when it’s your only option. My wife is very petite, and this is way too much food for her. I was surprised that they didn’t have a ¼ pound option, perhaps because they’d rather just charge you more for pounds and pounds of fatty meat. My inclination is to say my wife and I will both be getting the kids meal size when we go back again, but I can assure you that we won’t be back. I left Becks Prime with a weird feeling: I was full, but I wasn’t happy about it and I certainly wasn’t satisfied.

We had a California burger and Rib Eye Sandwich both were excellent. The meats were cooked to order and to specifications. The garnishes were fresh and crisp. Buns were toasted and flavorful. The speed of service was lightening fast! The only miss was they ran out of beers. Then again it was St. P. day weekend. One additional positive note even with a ton of people coming through they maintained a clean restaurant and clean bathrooms.

The burger here is very good — juicy, flavorful and cooked perfectly. They seem to be cooked to order, too. But the price seems a little disproportionate. I ordered the Blue Cheeseburger at $ 9.15. Most of the ‘deluxe’ burgers are priced around $ 9.65. The basic burger, with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mustard is $ 7.65. If you want cheese or additional toppings, each starts at $ 1. The hand-cut fries at $ 2.65 are decent but were a little limp for me. I prefer crisper, double-fried fries. The service was very friendly and attentive. They even split the burger for us. As another reviewer mentioned, the environment is slightly upscale fast food. There is plenty of parking. Twisted Root(a few blocks away) has the better burger, sides, prices and atmosphere. But Beck’s Prime would be a better choice if you don’t want to deal with the crowd and lack of parking on SMU Blvd.
