It got worse. I’ve been in line at the window for over 15 minutes. There’s only one truck ahead of me. Once again – not my food choice. SOMEONE wanted chicken fries. Seriously – there’s a Taco Bell RIGHTTHERE. But I’m stuck here in BK limbo hell. How is this place still open.

Have given this places and the firdt two my order was short, the third time it only took 10 minutes… for a $ 10 order. I’ll stick with burger street and taco bell.

I will still sometimes see the occasional food safety violation, like using a rag to wipe down counters and the tops of equipment, and then use the same rag to wipe the nozzle of a dispenser, but since the recent renovation, there has been a huge jump in employee quality. I no longer feel like I’m being served by prison release day population. I really like the young people who have been working there lately. They seem much more dependable. Improvement noted! I haven’t tried the new fries yet, but I’m sorry they’re changing them. While the amount of fries you get in the small combo is MUCH smaller than the amount you get with the similar combo at McDonalds, I always like BK’s thicker fires better than McD.

I was admittedly a little intrigued by Burger King’s recently-unveiled Summer menu, which contains several«BBQ» selections. I suspect that the term«BBQ» is being very loosely applied here, but since Burger King is only a two-minute walk from my apartment, I decided to try out a few of their new sandwiches. I ended up ordering the BK Rib Sandwich and the Memphis BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, along with a standard order of fries. Burger King has sweet potato fries available as part of the summer selections, but I I decided to pass today. The BK Rib Sandwich is surely their answer to the McDonald’s McRib. I enjoyed the artisanal bun, which was an improvement over the standard sesame seed version. The bread and butter pickles offered a good sweetness, but I think dill pickles would have been a better pairing. The barbecue sauce tasted more like a sweet ketchup. My brain kept telling me, «They can’t call it a rib sandwich if it isn’t rib meat,» but my taste buds refused to believe it. Overall, the BK Rib Sandwich was slightly tastier than the McRib, but that really isn’t saying much. As for the Memphis BBQ Pulled Pork, it was equally disappointing. The meat(if you can call it that) was very mushy and had the consistency of uncooked hamburger meat. It was well-suited for people with dentures, but not for those of us who have acquired the evolutionary advantage of teeth. The crunch of the onions gave this sandwich its only texture. The sauce was pleasantly sweet, but I can get better sauce from the Kroger next door. Basically, this was nothing more than a sweet sloppy joe. If I could have given this meal zero stars, I would have. Instead of trying to outpace McDonald’s in the arena of fake barbecue, perhaps Burger King should instead focus on making a better hamburger.

This is the Burger King of my childhood. My family had a tradition of enjoying the Sunday 99 cent Whoppers(probably not available at that price anymore). I was like 10 years old and I would eat two of them and chase it down with whole milk. My mom also warned that when I grew up I’d see whoppers sell for $ 10 because of inflation. Hasn’t happened yet but with the way things are going now that can’t be too far off. This place used to be classy. There used to be a salad bar, and there were lamps hanging over tables with stained glass displaying the Dr Pepper logo. Wooden seats and tables, brass trim, and live plants. Since then, two makeovers have reduced this to cheap plastic furnishings and jarring color choices. Remember those paper crowns?
