Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

A lovely pristine spa. My massage was excellent and the therapist even took the time afterward to recommend exercises to loosen my stiff shoulders between massages (I spend too much time working on a computer apparently!). I particularly liked the aromatherapy option — lavender’s my pick. All in all, felt very pampered.

Unfortunately I should have listened to the Unilocal review on this one from Adam W. Although I do agree that the receptionists are welcoming and friendly that really isn’t the main purpose of my booking a massage. For $ 100 (price of a deep tissue not including tip) I got a 50 minute massage that started late; ended early; didn’t remotely address my problem areas of neck, back, shoulders; and wasn’t even close to a deep tissue.
I think the therapist I was scheduled with was new (possibly to massage in general) based on what the staff shared. Unfortunately I need a more experienced therapist. Might be a good fit if you have low expectations and take advantage of the one-​time introductory offers, but if you are paying full price there are MUCH better options with more experienced therapists. Along those lines, probably not a good fit if you really want a truly therapeutic massage.
What a bummer to look forward to a massage and walk out with this experience.: (

Tanasha is a wonderful therapist. The receptionists are so welcoming and the facility is new and nicer than their competition. I highly recommend Hand and Stone.
