Good late night gourmet food. Not so quick of service but it was memorial day. Decent price for what you get.

The food was good, the drinks as well. BUT this place needs a good cleaning! The dust and greasy fingerprints on the computer order station. Please polish your brass and clean the front of your bar and all POS stations.

I actually came here for a birthday stop on our trail of adventures and definitely made a wrong turn. Let’s start off with the server being horrible. She even told my friend that she was not ordering correctly and she would just have to come back. We overheard THEMANAGER and the server talking badly about us because we grabbed an extra menu from an empty table(remained empty our visit). One menu for 6 people was what we received. I asked if they had room in the fridge for our cheesecake and they made a big deal of this. The server informed would have to go out of her way for that. The birthday girl(a grown women) actually cried because of how rude and disrespectful this server was. We never felt more unwelcome and I just think they could have treated us like people and not nuisances. The best part was I had to call 4 times to get a hold of a manager to let her know what happened and when I finally did she replied with«OH, I remember y’all and I’m sorry. I do have to go though.» The food was great but when someone is so rude in the service industry that they make an older woman cry, that is unacceptable.

I actually enjoy the staff here. There is a good variety of beer to choose from. As far as the food goes, I’m not too impressed with the vegan options. I’ve had the fried green tomato sandwich and it was overwhelmingly greasy. I’ve had the seitan tacos and they were great for the most part except they were salty and expensive. They cost the same as oxtail tacos! They do play great 90s and 00s music most of the time.

I ‘d the flat iron steak that was really great with the port wine sauce they used with it. Polenta chips were really great, asparagus cooked just right with my steak. The beer selection is great as well as the setting is just right. We’d careful service and you’ll be able to smoke any place in the pub that I LOVE!!!

I have enjoyed coming to the Libertine for years. I love that it’s kind of a divey bar, but you can get fancy schmancy drinks here, too. The kitchen serves tasty bites, even though I feel they close a bit too early. The bartenders are tatted and attractive – just like they should be. P. S. The booths in the back are the best seating in the house.

My friends and I were contemplating between here and a few other brunch places to celebrate a birthday. The birthday girl decided on this place, based on the pictures and reviews on Unilocal.Libertine Bar is located on Lower Greenville, close to BBBop and Trader Joe’s. A free parking lot is available nearby, but be aware of parking behind Trader Joe’s… they will hunt you down if you are not shopping there! The atmosphere here is very casual and bohemian. We were seated at a booth inside and got a lot of natural light from the windows. We all ordered different entrees, but I opted for the Pulled Pork and Grits. I initially wanted to try the Crab Cake Benedict, but sadly they had taken it off their menu. My dish was enjoyable, with good flavor without being heavy on the salt. I do not think it was memorable enough for me to order it again though. Prices were comparable to other places in the area. Service was great, as our server was knowledgeable about the menu and came by several times to refill our waters.

So I’ve been here a few times on weekend(nights) and each time has been good. Once I went the waiter was super crappy but… I mean, whatever it happens. Good drinks, good food. I’d recommend it!

one of the best bars in Greenville, not too crowded, I haven’t tried the food but I heard it’s amazing, drinks price range are reasonable. I will go again bring more friends.

Dallas has no shortage of amazing brunch spots, but the Libertine might just be my new favorite. Word to the wise? Get there as close to 11 as you can if you plan on going Sunday because it’s a smaller place and gets packed QUICK. Normally you can make reservations, but brunch is first come first serve. Our waitress was contagiously friendly and led us to a table that had a plate of complimentary sweets ready for us to inhale. I browsed their menu and was ecstatic to find $ 2.50 drinks from 11 – 3 including the most swoon worthy one on the planet, a Kir Royal!!! It’s crème de cassis topped with champagne and is the perfect balance of tart, slightly sweet, and bubbly. My mother in law requested to come here for her birthday because she’s a recent vegetarian and wanted to try their fried green tomato sandwich with portobello mushroom fries. Sadly the fries are only available after 3pm, but she loved the sandwich enough to make up for it. For their kitchen being the size of a studio apartment, we were all quite impressed with the stellar food they are able to create in it. My husband got the all American breakfast with toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and jalapeño cheddar grits. Those grits were phenomenal! He also got an a la carte biscuit with gravy because why not right? The star of the show for me though was the grilled cheese. This is no ordinary sandwich my friends. Made with two slices of jalapeño cheddar Texas toast, bacon, a green chili cheese blend, tomato, and chunks of avocado. Superb!!! I could eat this for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. The sweet potato fries were pretty good too, albeit cut a little thin for my taste. You really can’t beat their prices and how delicious the food is though. We were all saying how we can’t wait to come back and try more.

Came here for a late dinner this weekend for the first time. We were lucky enough to get a seat inside while it was pretty busy. Service was a bit slow to start, but soon after it picked up. I had the Elderberry cocktail and it was delicious. One of the best drinks I’ve had in awhile. We started with the cheeseboard(5). It was better than average. We enjoyed most of it. I got the steak sandwich and fries. My boyfriend had a burger and fries. Okay, seriously their fries were so tasty. They were incredibly well seasoned. I couldn’t stop nibbling on them. The sandwich was incredibly memorable. The meat was very tender and the sauce was perfect. My boyfriend said the burger had good flavor and was really filling. He’s usually picky, so it’s a big compliment. For a bar, it’s a decent food place. I don’t think I’d come here often, but I definitely would like to try brunch. I’d recommend this place for people who aren’t too froufrou and really the bar scene.

Quick look rating: 5⁄5 Food & Quality, 4⁄5 Service, 5⁄5 Experience, 5⁄5 Will I return Fun little bar with some great food! To note: I would suggest the Tuna burger, and a cup of the jalapeño soup! Holy cow, the night I had it, it was fantastic combo! Service was on point! The bartender paired my meal with some great local Texas draft beer! They were packed that night. The night I was here was the start to one our local Unilocal pub crawls. That is whole another story! I will be back soon!

Okay so we don’t live in a perfect world where all of the food at my most favorite brunch place is delicious. Recently had the steak and eggs and felt like I was eating a battered burger patty. Not the best thing I’ve had and would definitely prefer the Benedict specialties or the sandwiches. Still an incredible place and I’m for sure coming back.

I am literally the biggest French fry lover EVER, and so my friends and I have been trying to check off this list of the best spots for French fries and libertine was one of them! My friend and I sat outside cause the inside just smelt like bar if you catch my drift, but they have nice tables outside to eat and drink. We got the meatball appetizer to start with and then the burger(that’s what they are known for). They also give you the option to mix your French fries for original and sweet potato. The meatball appetizer was delicious! I really liked how the bread complimented the goat cheese and sauce, but the food was a little cold. My burger was delicious too– the meat in the burger was so juicy, but it had the same problem as the meatballs– they were cold too. I felt like the food had just been sitting out for awhile. The French fries tasted old to be honest, I really wasn’t impressed. The atmosphere of this place is nice though, I would just suggest a little better service, and I would definitely recommend the meatballs!

This place is one of the greatest, most chill hangout spots on my list. I’m definitely a fan. Several local beers on tap(go Deep Ellum!) and a seemingly wonderful menu of bar food … that I have not had the privilege of sampling, yet. We always sit outside, because let’s be honest, the tall-ass picnic tables out there are hilarious. I’m 5′ 2″ and it’s always a spectacle when I have to have a running start to make it up there. The servers are pretty boss at making their rounds and making sure we get taken care of outside, too.(Jessica, I’m lookin’ at you.) What REALLY made a great first impression were the restrooms. I’m dead serious. They’re not pristine or anything, but you immediately see two sinks decked out in mouthwash, soap, and free tampons. Like, how thoughtful is that? Each stall has a mirror on the wall BEHIND the toilet…(not that it has much use, but what girl doesn’t like more mirrors?) Then, as you’re washing your hands, a cartoonish poster on the door catches your eye. It’s warning against drunk driving(which you don’t see in any bar restrooms I can think of, anyway). It really is the little things, I think, that get me. You guys get me.

My friend brought me here on my first night in Dallas while she was showing me some of the Greenville spots. Dim lighting and a classic look give the place a relaxed vibe; on Friday night it was much more laid back than a lot of the nearby spots. They have a really extensive list of beers and cocktails, which is great. Everybody should be able to find something to enjoy. There were also a ton of people working behind the bar, so getting a drink was a breeze and we were checked up on quite often. I did not eat here, but from the other reviews it sounds like the food is worth trying. This is a nice little spot to catch up with friends or even for a date. As a bonus, it seems like they are pretty dog-friendly outside!

Jessica is the sweetest server I’ve met. Upbeat, fast, friendly and genuine. Last Saturday was my second time at Libertine and second time being wowed by her hospitality. This place is one of only handful of businesses that remains open past midnight in the area. Therefore, it’s super crowded in the evenings. It can take a while to get a drink at the bar… but if you push your way to the back, there are usually some booths and tables that offer a calmer setting and seating to carry on a conversations. Drinks are stiff and that’s all there really is to it. I like this place. Casual and to the point– gets the job done.

Libertine offers a select brunch menu till 3 on the weekends. Some solid selections. The service was good thanks Ali. They have a wide variety of beers on draft and they offer multiple juices for a mimosa. There’s a patio but we sat inside. Cool Irish Pub. The regular food menu has a ton of choices worth checking out. Not bad overall

I ordered the Sazerac(rye whiskey, absinthe, peychaud’s bitters, cubed sugar and lemon) which was not for me. I guess I should have figured it would taste like straight up black licorice. Bleh… I loved their Sidecar(Cognac, Contreau and lemon) as it was light, and fruity without it being too sweet. For food I ordered the Seitan tacos. I had no idea what seitan tacos were, but was hoping it was code for pork. It was sadly not. Seitan is wheat gluten, which they fry up and serve with some delicious creamy sriracha sauce. Although it wasn’t meat, it was very tasty. Man, I really regret not ordering the hog wings, which looked freakin awesome. The sweet potato fries were great too. Although we had a table of 15 – 20 people, the servers were able to get our food and drinks out in a timely manner which impressed me.

I love lower Greenville. I come here way too often. I am slowly but surely checking off nearly every restaurant in this area. I finally had the opportunity to check out Libertine Bar after eyeing it so many times before in my lower Greenville adventures. There is parking available being BBBop. Don’t park at Trader Joe’s unless you can successfully evade the parking guard/officer. Libertine is not large but there is plenty of standing room for those looking for a drink. My friends and I came here for brunch. I ordered the Libertine benedict(because who doesn’t like hollandaise sauce and poached eggs?) with a side of the jalapeño cheddar grits. My friends ordered the steak sandwich also with a side of the jalapeño cheddar grits and the chicken biscuit with a side of fries. Everything was super tasty. The jalapeño cheddar grits are the bomb! The poached eggs were cooked perfectly and I got to experience the infamous eggasm when I cut right into the egg seeing the yolk ooze out. Yum. My friend really enjoyed the steak sandwich saying that this was one of the few places that cooked steak perfectly. I stole a few fries from my friends’s plate and those were just a tasty as well. Libertine is a great brunch place. Service can be a little preoccupied at times but overall, the staff there is pretty attentive. I am on a very temporary alcohol hiatus so I was unable to try out any of their brunch drinks or beers. I’ll be back to at least grab a cold one. I can’t say no to an IPA.
