Not sure where to start, this was my first UYE and first time to the libertine. Kristie already had a booth for us which was really cool, we greeted and sat down, everyone ordered their beverages and then chatted a bit before ordering the meals. Everyone’s food looked so GOOD. I had the buttermilk pancakes w./ bacon and April had the french toast. Mine was so Good I finished it and Aprils off. I think everyone was shocked I ate so much but the food was really good and for two poeople under $ 15 w/no drinks I cant complain. I thought the service was on point and this is a really cook pub as well, lots of great drafts on tap and bottled. I can imagine during games or night time this place being packed Thank you to everyone that made it out it was great to do my first UYE here! I should mention the pancakes were pretty huge, even the waitress was impressed that I finished them as well as some of the french toast.

For those of you who know me, you’re aware that I have a difficult time saying ‘no’ to a brunch invite. When Diana J. set up this UYE at a place I’d never tried, I felt it was my duty to oblige. That’s right — twist my arm a little ;) We had a small crowd yesterday morning with a few new faces, which is always nice(Thanks to Jordan S. & his fiancée for making the drive over from Grapevine!) We were treated to a sampling of various muffins to try while we looked over the menu. I tried a chocolate muffin and a blueberry one and both were quite fresh & tasty. I’m a sucker for eggs most of the time, so I chose to bulid my own omelet. The omelets here start with three eggs and you can choose up to 3 fillers, or more if you don’t mind paying $ 0.50 extra for each additional item. This wasn’t a standard omelet in that it was prepared more as a stuffed dish rather than the scramble type that I’m use to. From the outside, you couldn’t see any of the veggies I ordered, but once I cut into it, the ingredients came tumbling out. My omlete was actually light and had plenty of fresh veggies — no skimping here! I went with a side of fruit in the hopes that it wasn’t all melon or grapes. Indeed, it was not. Instead, I was treated to a lovely assortment of ripe watermelon and delicious kiwi, with only a sprinkling of some grapes & melon pieces. It was a lovely combination to compliment my omelet. I wish I had been in the mood for booze, because they also had $ 2.50 mimosas, bellinis & a few other drinks. Next time I shall induldge… Aside from learning that I will never subscribe to Farmville(or any similar applications) on Facebook, I’m thankful for the time with some fun folks. Oh, how I love brunch UYEs! So glad to see everyone & meet some new folks :)

Mmmmm mmmm! Peanut butter jelly time, peanut butter jelly time! Okay, not really. No peanut butter and jelly. But they took a classic breakfast sandwich and zinged it up just right for my hungover ass at the brunch UYE on Sunday! The words«World’s Greatest Sandwich» jumped off the menu at me and I knew there was no sense in even looking at the rest of the menu. I did of course(pulled pork tacos and grilled cheese were the runners up) and really didn’t see anything I would mind shoving into my piehole for brunchie. My eggs were over-hard, and Kristie ordered the same thing but it looked like her yolks were still a little runny and I got jealous. I also wish they would add more gruyère cheese, it would be one badass sandwich. It came with fries or fruit, and I fattied it up and got the fries… they’re the skinny kind, which I love! My mimosas were well-poured(aka, lots of champagne) and service was a-okay. I’d love to come back and try their half price dinners on Sundays! Thanks Diana for organizing the UYE and for educating us about Farmville :)

Hooray for this brunch UYE! Thanks Diana for setting it up. It was nice meeting everyone, and seeing one familiar face(Nikki)! I’ve only been to Libertine once for brunch and had the yummy pancakes. Jordan, I still don’t know how you ate them all AND finished your girlfriend’s breakfast too! Wow! :) This time I ordered the world’s greatest breakfast sandwich that came with a fried egg, tomato, bacon, cheese and mayo. It was darn tasty. I also inhaled a few mimosas, which were delicious. They don’t skimp on the champagne. All in all good times. Good people. Good food.
