I went to Palmieri Café with my family after a friend of mine told us about it. All of us LOVEDIT! The food is delicious and affordable, and the service is great. Everyone, especially the owner Corrado was very nice and friendly. You can taste the high quality of the food and coffee. Everything is made from scratch every day, so everything is fresh. I am Italian, and I can attest this is authentic Italian food. Go check it out, and you will want to go there everyday!

Overall(4.5 stars composite score): Real Italian corner shop feel, with real italian coffee, real Italians beans imported from Italy, with a real italian behind the counter to boot. The only way to get more authentic is to book a plane ticket to Italy itself. Drinks/Food(100% of 1.5 star total): They use an incredibly modern machine that has LED displays on it. It has been described as the Ferrari of espresso machines. My Iced Latte was so smooth that I drank it without any sweetener and loved every single delicious ounce of it. Service(100% of 1 star total): Shout to the boss Corrado. He and his staff make your experience memorable. Deep product knowledge and helpful suggestions take the work out of finding your perfect pairing. Value(100% of ½ star total): Imported beans for Italy really do make a difference in what you get for your money. Add in that 10% Unilocal check, and the pricing is very competitive with the market. Net result? Value heaven. WiFi/Power(60% of ½ star total): WiFi is not so good here. 5 Mbps down /3Mbps up and the speeds are incredibly inconsistent. Every SpeedTest I run is different, varying as low as 2.5 and as high as 13. Power outlets inside aren’t available. You will have to go outside and will require an extension cord. Not super Laptop-istan approved, but not hostile either. Seating(80% of ½ star total): Good amount of shared seating for all the tenants in the building. You have both inside and outside seating. Peak hours can make seating difficult to find, but otherwise, it should be fine. Atmosphere(80% of 1 star total): The Farmer’s market building Palmieri shares with the other tenants has a great energy to it. Having many food options is a huge plus. Building managed bathrooms are super. Baby changing tables are available as well.

Love everything about this place, starting with the owner, who clearly puts his heart into this delicious coffee. Great little patio of to the side, fantastic service, and always a smile with your morning brew. Easily in my top 3 coffee spots in Dallas, and rising…

Italian coffee at its best. Unlike other coffee places, the chai tea has a very distinct leafy flavor which can be over powering to the tastebuds. Perfect for you coffea(coffee/tea) lovers.

If I could go back and stuff as many pastries and rustic pies into my body without any fear of no longer fitting into my clothes, I would :-) My pastry and my tomato mozzarella rustic pie were chocked full of homemade goodness. Flaky, fresh, crumbly exteriors covering luscious fillings that my palette could tell were all natural. This tiny spot in the Farmer’s Market will certainly become one of my go-to spots. I’ll walk over next time to make myself feel better about eating pastries. They offer both savory and sweet homemade pastries. They also have sandwiches now on house baked bread with fillings of prosciutto, mozzarella, mortadella, etc. The sandwiches were large and gorgeous, but I was on a pastry quest this time. Somehow, I managed to not try the coffee. But that fact simply gives me another reason for heading over there again.

DELICIOUSCOFFEE drinks made of FRESH ingredients and an artistic touch in the new Shed 1 of the Dallas Farmers Market! We love the new look and feel of the Dallas Farmers Market! So much to see and discover here, all local and made with love and care. Iced mocha comes with or without the fresh whipped cream. It is not your standard Starbucks sugar fest — this is chocolate and coffee, as God intended. Simple, fresh, refreshing, and delicious. We will be back again!

The coffee is amazing. They have one of the best machines money can buy. The service is amazing. Take the time to treat yourself to true Italian coffee and the pastries. Every detail about their coffee and pastries are straight from southern Italy. Give it a try, you will never go to Starbucks again.

I just want to put Mr. Palmieri in my pocket and take him home! Lol. If you don’t enjoy anything else about this café, hearing him describe his pastries in his Italian accent will keep you coming back! The pastries are handmade by the owner daily-can’t get more authentic than this. A REAL Italian making REAL Italian fare. What a treat! We tried: Cappuccino: excellent Rustico mozzarella & tomato: wonderful doughy goodness full of high quality mozzarella Chocolate cannoli: very good but not my favorite, texturally-They had a lemon cannoli I think would have been better. It was a weekday at 10 am-not a soul in sight and the pastries were slim pickings, which is a good sign! The only reason I did not rate this place 5 stars is because it is not in the best location to sit and hangout. It is more of a «grab your coffee and food and go» environment. Mr. Palmieri is such an entertaining character that I feel he would really shine in a café mingling with his guests. I hope that this happens in the near future.

I’ve been around the country and especially around Dallas to taste coffee. This is the place! They know coffee. The pastry is as fantastic as the espresso. The beans aren’t burnt like most places the coffee tastes like it should. It’s delicious. Well done Palmieri!

I ordered a cappuccino, zero foam, the coffee was good, not great or excellent. Expected better. Pastry was a type of berliner donut with vanilla pastry cream. My advice, do what you do best coffee. Stay off the bakery products, not up to standard. The dough had not risen properly, so it tasted tough and denser for being a fried donut with vanilla cream. I don’t recommend buying the pastry, I am sticking with the coffee.

I’m going to headline as this is the most authentic Italian coffee you’re going to find. To that, this is not Starbucks and if you’re looking for consistent burnt coffee then go to Starbucks. No where in Dallas even your non-chain coffee shops are you going to find a shop where there is so much care in the fine details. The espresso is the smoothest coffee I’ve tasted but it’s strong unlike the American standard so it still is an acquired taste. If you’re wanting an authentic experience this is for you. Palmieri Café has come a long way from simple fold out tables and poor over coffee of the past 2+ years though poor overs are still available. I’ve been a loyal customer for some time but I do not write this out of loyalty or preference but because I go back because of their quality, attention, and care. The pastries are fuc*ing amazing, the sandwiches might be better or on par when not sold out, and the coffee is amazing. Not only is the coffee of high quality from Italy but they are friendly and the owner takes great pride. It’s not just business, it’s personal. If you don’t like it, speak up and they will listen to your feedback and make sure you’re satisfied.

Palmieri café has the most excellent authentic Italian pastries and savory treats! Their coffee is also excellent! I’ve tasted many pastries and coffees and I have to say this place is exceptional. Plus the Italian accent of the owner is a great bonus ;-)

Palmieri creates masterpieces in the kitchen. I first discovered this place in the summer of 2015 when he only had the stand in the farmer’s market. I sampled the taccotto & fell in love! His new location inside ‘The Market’ is just lovely. All of his pastries are absolutely amazing. I’m not a coffee drinker, so I can’t comment on the coffee, & so far every time I’ve visited, he’s been sold out of the calzones, so I’m thinking they must be delicious as well. I love my experience each time I visit, & the owner is wonderful. I love speaking with him whenever I have the chance. This is definitely my favorite spot for pastries in the metroplex.

What to say, what to say… its a café in the farmers market. What do you expect from a café? Can just good pastry be enough to warrant 4 stars? The graffa was excellent!!! The staff was honestly awkward and not organized(its a tiny space with 3 people in it, how do you miss one of the 2 things I ordered ??) and the espresso was what I would consider to be stale coffee taste. I would say if the coffee was better i would give 4 stars and the staff was a little more organized and less awkward it would be a 5 for sure! They are new to this space so maybe it will approve but for now 3 stars.

Excellent coffee, served by a real expert! I visited the Dallas Farmers Market on Sunday to check out the new digs, and although the new inside shopping area is already pretty impressive, there’s clearly a lot more moving in – including a full-on shop for Palmieri Café! The owner told us that it would be ready in about 10 to 15 days. But today he had set up a table right in front of his in-progress store, and was offering fresh Italian pastries and carefully selected pourovers. By the time we got there(about 4pm) he was almost all out of pastries, but he still have plenty of coffee, which is what we were after. He opened three different canisters of whole coffee beans and let us smell each one, describing the different countries of origin(Peru, Guatemala, Ethiopia) and the different tastes that each one would have. I asked him what his favorite was, and he said he enjoyed a strong coffee so he preferred the Guatemalan. I chose that, and he began the process, first grinding the beans and then brewing the coffee in the pourover device. The coffee was ready in four minutes, and it was strong and fresh and delicious. I added just the smallest amount of half and half, and the flavors sang with every sip. The quality of the coffee combined with the knowledge and friendliness of the owner means Palmieri is a coffee-lover’s(and no doubt, pastry-lover’s) dream. I can’t wait to see the finished shop!

Stopped by this place at the Dallas Farmers Market. I was feeling an iced coffee, but they only had cold brew… and it was the best stumble-upon in my life! Their cold brew is the best! They also have delicious pastries I got to sample. Also bought a fresh calzone! But back to the coffee… Great stuff… Definitely stopping by here more often!
