WOW… Can’t say I ever expected to pay this much for a jar of pickles but guess what… I’ve been back several times and I’m going again! The spicy chicken pickles are out of this world!

Not only some of the best local pickles(and I’ve tried many) but also some of the cheapest. What others may charge $ 12 for, these guys sell for $ 8. That’s still double(or more) the price of the supermarket, obviously, so be warned. Nonetheless, the quality makes it worth it. The cucumber salad pickle is refreshing, sweet, and not too vinegary — great with something mild that you don’t want to overpower. Anything I’ve tried has been great.

As I have gotten older, I seem to have become a little more nostalgic. Always searching for things that remind me of my childhood in the upper Midwest. About two years ago, I happen to be at the Texas State Fair and someone offered me a sample of some pickles… and there it was. I was back home sitting at my great grandmother’s kitchen table fighting with my sister for last of grandma’s homemade pickles. Somehow the recipe has been lost, until now. These are almost the best pickles ever, next to my grandmas. I have introduced these pickles to my sister, she is also a pickle aficionado like myself, and she is hard to please. She lives outside of Texas, and I treat her to a jar or two while she is here. They never last too long with us. Heck, we got wild one night and tried a hot new drink I read about in a bar magazine. It was TX whiskey with a pickle juice back. I’ve tried it with other brines, it just doesn’t work if it isn’t the brine of these pickles. Since my sister can’t make it home this year for the holidays, my father and I sent her some pickles and cauliflower. Just so she could have that little taste of home. But here is where some magic happened. Not only was ordering these delicious treats easy, the amount of customer service we received might even make Santa start looking to recruit some new elves. The gal we dealt with made sure that we were satisfied, the package was received and in good condition when received. WHODOESTHAT? Not only did everything arrive timely and in great condition… she called to thank us. I know it’s a small family business, and this type of service is hard to find pretty much anywhere. The flavor and quality of the product is what hooked me, it’s the pride of self and service that reeled me in to be a customer for life. Thank you so much!

It’s damn good but damn pricey. $ 10 a jar for okra or $ 10 for a jar of pickled jalapeños is absurd. The garlic pickled jalapeños, carrots and baby corn is crazy good but not so much so that you should be gouged simply b/c they’re located in the newly designed and hip farmers market.

Just bought two containers at Zest Fest. They are DELICIOUS! A really great mix of spices, highly recommended to any pickle lover. :) I also purchased the spicy chicken flavor.

OMG! These pickles are goooood. If you’re someone who craves salty snacks check it out the next time you’re at Dallas Farmers Market. They are located inside the enclosed building at the market. I had little expectations that the pickles would taste any different than what I buy at the corner store but boy was I wrong. They offer a variety of pickled items and flavors, which include cucumber(not to be confused with pickles), cauliflower and their famous«spicy chicken pickle» just to name a few(check out their website for more info on the flavors). I asked why they call their chicken flavor«spicy chicken» considering it doesn’t taste like chicken and I was told that their processing room smells like fried chicken when they mix the spices for the pickling and that’s how they came up with the name. There was a couple ahead of me that was visiting from out of state and they were purchasing several flavors to take home. I bought the spicy chicken because it was my favorite and I had eaten half of the container before I made it home. They are pricier compared to what you buy at the grocery store. I paid $ 6 for a small container but they were so worth it. PS: I overheard the owner telling another customer that the pickles were featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show and her website promotes the same thing. (Support Small Local Businesses)
