HORRIBLE! DO NOT GO HERE! This hairdresser now has a location on Preston Rd. I purchased a Living Social deal for this salon and made an appointment. When I showed up, the lights were out and no one was there. I called the two numbers I had for the salon dozens of times, left messages and nothing. I went to Living Social to receive a refund, and the merchant redeemed my voucher! I explained the situation to Living Social, who extended the refund and their apologies to me. (The hairdresser tried to say I didn’t show up.) REALLY!!! SO SHADY! I will be sure to warn everyone I know about this salon, and Living Social also made a report.

Hopefully this is a different Sol Ben then I experienced in North Dallas!!! The man Sol gave me a price for extensions & a color that I chose! when I came for the appointment the color was wrong & the procedure he used was completely strange & unusual! Not even one week after he spent 7 hours doing what should have taken no more than 3 hours to do a simple (which what he did was a combination of plastic clamps, electrical wire coverings & nylon string) tied to my hair being pulled from my scalp very painfully. The color not matching only added to the insult of him telling me the price would be $ 50.more Mind you we had already settled on a price before the appointment!!! When asked to compromise he was rude & arrogant & not helpful at all. He ignored my first 3 phone calls, would not return the calls & when I stopped by his shop & was extremely nice to his customer in his chair waiting patiently — waited til she left, asked him to credit mr at least ½ the bill, he all but laughed in my face! Told me I could sue him if I wished… this is not a man of integrity or a good person to do extensions by weaves. For that matter I found that for me I could not trust most of what he said, sorry its just the facts.

I went to Sol Ben recently because it’s close to where I live and was looking for a cut and blow out. I got a stylist named Joel and he was awesome. He gave me a great cut, I love my layers, and got tons of compliments on my blow out. The salon is cute and the owner is really nice. (the only thing I disliked was that he stopped my blow dry to start someone else’s hair, but I had time that morning so it was fine) But I will be going back!

I visited Sol Ben last week after purchasing a Groupon for a conditioning treatment, hair cut, and blow dry. The receptionist was very kind and scheduling was easy. I was booked with Jeremy… he was great! He gave me a relaxing head massage and a great cut.
The salon is fairly new, only been open for about a year. It’s easy to find on McKinney. The décor is cute and the place is clean. The receptionist suggested that I sign up to be on their email list. I now receive their great deals. I would definitely go back to Sol Ben!

I bought a Groupon for a deep conditioning, cut, and blowdry. It was fabulous and only took a little over an hour! I have wonderful healthy hair now. Cute décor, friendly staff.
