Sonic Drive-In

Compared to other sonics, they had newer menu boards. These menu boards are more tech savvy and let’s you know that they received your credit card payment. Service took longer than normal. Waited around 12 minutes for my food. It was probably a quarter full at the time. The food came out good. The waitress was pleasant.

I have been eating at different Sonics for over 40 years. The Sonic on the corner of Inwood and Cedar Springs is by far the worst! I keep going because it is close to my house, and am disappointed every single time. Usually the person on the headphones asks me to repeat my order at least twice, she is so stupid that she does not think I can hear she and her co-​workers talking and laughing! Tonight I just wanted a quick hot dog, the optimum word here being quick. After waiting in line for 14 minutes I just left, and this is the third time I have done this. Not that I am proud of wasting any kind of food, but there catch phrase is «Sonic at the speed of Sound!» I would love for management to clean this place up and get some employees who are proud of their work.

I come here when I don’t have enough time to cook myself, or when I’m craving a strawberry limeade. (If you get one, be sure to eat the strawberries at the bottom of the cup, they get slightly fizzy from the sprite and are so yummy, don’t let those noms go to waste!). The SuperSonic breakfast burrito is also one of my go-to’s, available all day/​night whenever you want some warm, spicy, meaty, tater tot-​ey, carb-​ey goodness.
This location isn’t the fastest, my order of 2 – 3 items requires about a 10 – 15 minute wait, and that’s when there are only 3 other cars here. I guess if you’re the only car here, it’s a good option for a quick snack/​meal especially since it’s pretty close to the med school.
3 stars because for a drive-​in, this location doesn’t deliver on speedy performance that most people want when they come to dine at Sonic. I guess the wait is good in that it may dissuade you from coming to eat the unhealthy (but pretty tasty) snackage. I’ll still be coming back though!

I’ve been to sonics in multiple states & this is by far the worst one I’ve ever been to. EVER. Came on a Saturday night & ordered at 9:48pm. They were absolutely NOT busy at all (few cars in the drive thru & 2 cars parked). It took nearly 30 mins for us to get our food through the drive thru!!! No apologies & didn’t offer to comp us our shakes. I live nearby & would rather drive miles away to another location or punch myself in the face before I come here again.

This spot is the worst place to go to in the mornings for breakfast. When I got there it was me and one other car. After 15 min and getting my simple combo order wrong twice and being cut off while giving my order, I gave up and left. When I told them to cancel my order and that I was leaving, the girl that answered didn’t seem to care. Worst customer service.

I stopped in for a Diet Coke and cheese sticks with ranch dressing. After waiting about 10 minutes in the drive-​thru and the cashier correctly repeating my order back to me, I received a Dr. Pepper and cheese sticks with barbecue sauce.
First world problems, I know, but when two components of a three-​item order are wrong, on top of a long wait, it spoils my experience for sure.

I know that fast food joints aren’t exactly the crème de la crème in terms of being sanitary and clean, but the latest beverage I bought here came with a gross surprise in the bottom of the cup… I would avoid this place at all costs!

I love drive-​ins and thank you Sonic for keeping them alive in America!
Whether it is breakfast, lunch, dinner, or somewhere in between any of these, Sonic has you covered with a great selection at affordable prices.
The folks at this particular Sonic are friendly, work hard and fast, and are a pleasure to do business with. I typically don’t do a meal here, but stop in frequently for a soda or limeade… my favorite is the Route 44 Diet Strawberry Limeade… does not taste like diet and is refreshing.
One tip… Please don’t forget to tip your server here… these are great hardworking folks and although they would never ask, I will ask for them!

If you are looking for fast food this is not your place. Consistent 20 minute wait times in the evening. After waiting for our meal this time, they forgot my wife’s meal (I know I should’ve checked it before leaving). The staff clearly doesn’t care about providing good service. Sonic is usually one of our go to fast food spots but we will not be returning to this location.

Great service. Super friendly. They sang me happy birthday when I picked up my birthday treat. It was so sweet.

Quick and friendly service! My carhop, Victoria, both took and delivered my order. She was friendly, efficient, and pleasant. I recommend this Sonic to anyone!
Side note: Full menu served all day! Great to be able to get dinner when getting off night shift in the morning!
Only downside: You can’t top the carhops when paying with a credit card.

It’s a fast food joint so there’s not much to expect here. Grabbed some burgers here thru the drive-​in and took awhile to get everything done. Just like any average fast food place that I have known so far.

I love sonic for their drinks & snacks. I once bought their onion rings, and the bag was soaked in grease. Not a small amount, it was literally soaking wet with grease, as well as the onion rings. I just had to chunk them and lose my money. It was disgusting.

Awful experience, bad service and the hot dogs were cold with warm buns. It was a disappointing meal. The order was wrong and they really did not care. I will definitely

Worst sonic I’ve ever eaten at. The tater tots were ice cold and found hair in them also. The burger was real greasy and soggy like they made it before I ordered. I will never go there again.

It’s Sonic! What else can you say? As for all the «bad service» reviews, I’ m a bit confused. It’s a fast food place, not a five star restaurant. How much can you expect? I’ve only had pleasant experiences when I’ve gone here.

This Sonic is HORRIBLE! Not only do they have the slowest service around but their employees and managers are rude. The are usually rude when bringing me my food and taking my orders and their manager James is the worst.
A woman hit me in the sonic drive thru and I called the sonic to get a copy of the video footage to give to my insurance company. I was very polite when I told James I had talked to 3 managers, who said they would call me back but never did, and was just looking for some cooperation. He went off on me saying that I was «harassing his managers» and it was not his problem that I had an accident and he would not release the video footage. All he needed to say was that he couldn’t help me, instead he went off being completely unprofessional and rude.
Please go to a different sonic when you want your cherry limeade!

Usually when I swing by this sonic I’ve taken a late lunch and it’s happy hour time at Sonic. WIN!
I’ve fallen in love with their mango and peach green teas. YEEESSS. I have no complaints, the drive thru is always pretty swift and accurate for me… and when I ask for extra ice, they never disappoint!

I’ve been a long time patron of sonics. This one is no exception… EXCEPT for that they got my order wrong. I wanted a wrap with crispy chicken. I got grilled. I didn’t notice until I had already left the parking lot. I did regret ordering the crispy chicken because of a general concern for my weight and well being so I didn’t complain about the grilled chicken but I just wish healthy eating wasn’t forced on me in such this way. :)
I’m sure I’ll return someday, but only when I’ve exahusted every other option of things to eat in the area.
