Whimsey Shoppe

I’m sad to report the store is closing. My home would not be the same without Susie and Wendall. Today, I took my final stroll through their store and picked up a few more stunning pieces. This time my bedroom and garden got the attention. Anyone can furnish their home with faux junk that’s made in China, but The Whimsey Shoppe has a soul. What a loss to the Knox/​Henderson neighborhood.

They carry gorgeous 18^th and 19^th century French antiques (armoires, mirrors, chairs, copper cookware, chandeliers and more). They would travel to France and find these pieces every year to stock their store. It has always been a delight to stroll through this space.
