White Gown Workroom

Debra has been doing alterations for me and my daughter for years. When she moved from her original shop on Ross, we lost touch. Recently, we were searching for a shop that would alter my daughter’s wedding gown on short notice. I called White Gown Workroom without a lot of hope they would take on this alteration. The lovely woman on the phone said yes, bring it by tomorrow. I’ll get it done. I got off the phone and thought, «That woman sounds so familiar,» Imagine our surprise when we walked in, and there was Debra! Many hugs later, she of course got it done in plenty of time and, as usual, did a beautiful job! She also sells beautiful wedding gowns and accessories. So proud of her. Can’t recommend her highly enough! Sorry to gush. She does regular alterations as well.

Debra did a wonderful job with alterations on my wedding dress and is a calm and cheerful presence. I am fairly petite and fortunately my dress did not need a ton of major alterations; however, the devil is in the details and Debra did a wonderful job making it fit perfectly. My dress was lace (appliqué over net) and Debra did a great job bringing in the bust, waist, back, and hip area. She also created a cute bustle. We stood looking at it during my second appointment and we both weren’t totally satisfied with the bustle; however, Debra made a few adjustments and then it was magic!
We all know there is a lot of stress and excitement as your wedding day approaches — visiting Debra is like a breath of fresh air and calm as she spends time one on one with you. I would definitely recommend her, and her prices seem reasonable as well!
