Came with my family(party of 10) for dinner and the staffs were very accommodating. The staffs were very nice and attentive. Chopstix has a mixture of Japanese food and Chinese food, which is great when you’re craving for both. We ordered: SF Giants roll($ 14) Sashimi Combo($ 16) Eggplant with spicy garlic sauce($ 8) Korean chicken wings($ 9) Salted fish chicken fried rice($ 8) Chicken skewers Everything tasted really yummy, and the portion is very generous. I definitely will come back

Came in with my family tonight because we were all craving some sushi. We got in at about 9ish and they were really patient while we ordered. We were surprised that not only was there sushi but also chinese food on the menu. So of course, being that we’ve never tried the place before, we decided to get a good helping of different items on the menu. Yum! Let me just say that about the food. Not only did we get our orders fast but they were all really good and portions were great! So I think its safe to say that we now have another food joint that we plan to frequent more often:)

Great food and great service! We ordered beef chow mein, orange chicken, pot stickers and an order of the New York roll. Everything was delicious! The food came out minutes after ordering. The chef brought us a complimentary California roll — that was really nice of him! If you’re looking for some Chinese food and/or sushi, definitely check this place out.

I would not order delivery from here. They have a tendency to mess up your order if you do delivery. Dining in is usually OK because no one is usually here so service is quick, in the sense that since you’re the only customer, they will pay attention to you. The waitress however isn’t always available due to her chilling in the back of the kitchen, but nonetheless she does do her job when you get her attention. As a result, service is very just ok. The other workers would talk amongst themselves in cantonese, and it’s a little awkward to be listening in to their conversations, talking about how the waitress is late or about a problem they had with a customer…(they are quite loud, and yes I can understand cantonese.) The food, both Chinese and Japanese, is of a quality that I find very agreeable to pay for. Yes it’s not the best like Koi Palace, but it is pretty decent. And it’s not too pricey. It’s a good place to get in a Chinese fix if you’re craving for some chow mein or even sashimi in Daly City. I have only tried the sashimi here and I admit that the sashimi is not bad. Im too scared to try the udon or their other japanese dishes. All and all this is an OK place to dine in for Japanese or Chinese food. But like I said, I would avoid delivery at all cost as they are really bad with fixing online orders and they may take twice as long to get to you, and may even hassle you if you didn’t provide a tip.

Well, here goes — my family and I dined in Chopstix first time tonight and I was really seriously disappointed with the Family dinner Szechuan –order for 2 ;( When we tasted the hot and sour soup-all you could taste was black pepper flakes– ugh! :(it over powered the taste and texture of soup. I took 2-sips of soup and just couldn’t finish it!(first in history to not finish my soup). The waitress who was cordial didn’t bring us iced waters after asking her more than once and around 5pm. Daly City meter personnel start to write up car tickets with expired meters! So, be mindful to put coins in the meters!!. :D Your better off taking that drive somewhere else where their is free parking for customer’s.

Delivery review. I’ve ordered delivery from here about three times. I live about 2 miles away. Delivery was confirmed for 60 min, and so far, they’ve made it to me door perfectly in that 60min, sometimes with a couple minutes to spare. Portions are great. The food isn’t over greasy either. If you order on eat24 and spend over 20 bucks, you get to choose from some bonus items(big portions as well, dunno about the appetizers). Saw California roll as a bonus option, but let’s be honest. What basic bitch orders a California roll. I’ve no clue about the Japanese food. Which I found a bit weird. Defer to other reviews for that.

I’m sure they’re nice people; however, I must to be honest and say that their food sucks! Poor quality and ingredients used in their food. Since their«makeover» I really thought the food was going to be better. It’s not! I ordered broccoli, shrimp and scallops dish and as soon as I opened the box… odor, really bad odor. The scallops were old and possibly bad. In addition, the same sauce used for that dish was used in everything else. It’s not Chinese or Japanese authentic ingredients; its processed and preserved. Gross! Poor quality. :( Not ordering from here again. Unless, they reach out and tell me they are using better quality and ingredients in their food.

Chinese? or Japanese? The name implied chinese food but they do have Japanese too. They redid the interior from the old Mr. Chan restaurant. It’s cleaner and bolder. The food was good with ample amount of variety. I had a typical chinese dish of fried rice, salt and pepper pork and orange chicken. Tasty and good serving. I’m yet to try their Japanese offerings. I will be going back :)

I’ve tried Chopstix twice thru Eat24. I like how they have a pretty extensive menu covering both Chinese and Japanese cuisine. And the food that I’ve ordered from them for the most part has been decent. Their delivery service needs some serious tuning though. First off, let’s talk about the food. Off their Chinese menu, I’ve had their Shanghai Dumplings, Fried Crab Won Tons, Scrambled Egg With Prawns, and Szechuan Crispy Beef. All weren’t too bad, but not mind blowing. I’d say my favorite was the Scrambled Egg with Prawns since it had a generous amount of prawns scrambled in with the egg. Shanghai Dumplings – Fried Crab Won Ton – Scrambled Egg with Prawns – Szechuan Crispy Beef – Then off their Japanese menu I tried a bento box combo with Chicken Teriyaki, Gyoza, and Tempura( ). This was pretty disappointing. The Tempura was overcooked and the Teriyaki Chicken was not grilled but pan-fried. I wouldn’t order this again. Now let’s talk about their delivery service. The first time they were almost 30 mins late which didn’t set a great first impression on me. So I thought maybe it was an off night and they were busy. The second time I tried them they were 30 mins late again! So yeah, it’s a shame that their delivery service is slow. I’ve ordered from places farther than them with similar menus and they always arrive on time or earlier. I do understand them being busy, but if I’m given an expected 45 min delivery time, it should be met. I’ll understand being 5 mins late, but 30 mins late back to back is a bad consistency and is not acceptable. Not only will it make the customer hangry, it’ll give a bad taste to the food as well. I say if you’re going to try Chopstix, you might be better off dining at the restaurant instead of delivery and stick to the Chinese side of the menu. Until they can get their delivery system sped up, I can’t recommend them on Eat24.

I had no idea what to order the first time I went to a Korean restaurant. I settled on an entire plate of chicken wings that I somehow managed to finish by myself. Although I make more… diversified dinner decisions nowadays, Chopstix’s Korean chicken wings remind me of exactly how I polished off that plate. They’re the perfect balance of sweet and savory with a spicy kick and a crispy outside and hot and moist interior. Pretty reasonably priced too at $ 8! Other than that… the fried prawns with walnuts are pretty good, but everything else I’ve had is just okay. They definitely cater their menu to more Americanized Chinese food and I always see it as a bad sign when restaurants offer multiple cuisines on one menu. It’s unlikely that they can properly execute Chinese, Japanese, AND Korean cuisine well and that is indeed the case here. The Japanese bento boxes seemed appealing with all of the option combinations and affordability, but the quality was very average. Mild miso, oily tempura, beef teriyaki that lacked tenderness and flavor, and the CA rolls are on par with grocery stores. If I didn’t make it clear before. KOREANCHICKENWINGS! Other than that, not a destination spot, but if you do find yourself here, stick to the Chinese food.

I prefer dining in over calling for ordering. I order for pick up numerous of time until not too long ago, where I called and they hung up on me. I call again, and was on hold for 2 minutes and then place an order. I understand your busy but hanging up after the first attempt is not in my book. I decided to dine in and got excellent service. I usually ordered Wonton Combination soup and it was really good and has all the flavors in it. Also the pork buns are well-cooked and delicious. Sushi are really good as well. Going to come back just to dine in but not phone ordering.

The food here is no better or worse than the previous incarnation, in my opinion its the same. VERY Daly City. I ordered the crispy flounder, and was served an entire anemic tilapia, farm raised no doubt. It was drenched in a serous sauce and covered in raw jalapeño slices. Not good. Arnold ordered shrimp fried rice and spicy beef. We ate the rice, it was nothing special, generic fried rice with farm raised shrimp. The spicy beef was tiny slivers of gristled beef coated heavily in a batter and deep fried. It was essentially deep fried batter coated with spicy syrup. It was sampled then thrown out. Absolutely no need to return; sucks having to drive to Clement or Irving street to get decent Chinese. Poor Daly City, Iove your rent prices but your restaurants are tragic.

I ordered for delivery online, then even called right after the order was placed to make sure they got it as I always do. The woman on the phone was dismissive but confirmed that the order was placed and was on it’s way in 45 minutes. Fast forward to 1 hour later: I call back and ask when my food is coming. An older man screams at me saying«the food should be there shortly OK?!. Fast forward to 30 minutes after that. I call and ask when my food will be here. THESAMEMAN tells me after talking to his workers that«the food was not ordered and that you will have to reorder» I told him that there was no way because I even confirmed over the phone that the order was placed and also had the digital receipt. There is no possibility that they did not receive it. He then tells me that sorry we didn’t get the order and hangs up. NEVERORDERFROMHERE!

If you are looking for real Chinese food, STAYAWAY! Yes, they are really Chinese here but they cater their food to non-Asians…you know, sweet & sour everything, fruit with meat, fried then glopped with sauce… yuck. That is not real Chinese food! I ventured to the east side of DC after reading a newspaper review. Big mistake! I should’ve realized it upon arriving at the location and noticing there isn’t any Chinese writing anywhere. The only Chinese I heard was from the kitchen. Even the Chinese customers spoke English only. We tried the Korean chicken wings, which were made American Chinese style aka sweet sauce glopped over fried meat. Not good. And it ain’t no Korean chicken wings. Koreans would be offended. Dinner bento box. Tempura was fried beyond edible and it was dripping with oil, like they took old slices of vegetables and fried it in old oil that was not hot enough. Shrimp version was a thick cocoon of cheap flour batter. Also had the SF Giants roll. The best part was the soft shell crab. Otherwise not worth $ 14. Service was satisfactory. Sorry won’t be back, ever.

Was ready to order but, i made the mistake of not looking close enough that they stopped serving lunch @ 3:00PM. But! When i was ready to order, the waiter walked past me and made eye contact several times before finally walking over to me after cluelessly walking back and forth doing NOTHING. Its okay the Sushi Chef tonight was very helpful and saw that i was not being given the service that was needed. Anyways. Ordered General Tao’s Chicken over Steamed Rice; it was so gooooooood and full of flavor but the rice was mediocre. Also had a side of Lion King and that was delicious, absolutely no flaws at all. Overall i am giving this place 4 Stars because of the Sushi Chef and their General Tao & Lion King Roll.

Not to shabby for this new spot in Daly City across from Lucky’s, Jolibee’s, Hawaiian Drive Inn, Red Ribbon, Starbucks etc, etc, etc!!! They offer several types of style in this new spot, some Korean flair with their Korean style wings, Chinese dumplings shu mai, japanese donburi plates, rolls and several other choices Let me break down what we tried and how it faired. Spicy Garlic Edamame — different because it is spicy and garlic flavored just for that alone Grade A Shu mai — pork and shrimp dumpling sadly if I see it on the menu imma order it, 4 pieces decent not great passing grade, did not taste super fresh but it also did not taste like buffet style so C+ for effort on these dumplings Seaweed salad — portion wise standard, taste fresh, smells fresh, savory sweet would be my description graded A Korean spicy chicken wings — theres a crunch alright, piping hot even after a 10min transport still a crunch sweet and piping hot in each bite. Graded A Mixed tempura plate — 5 pieces of decent sized prawns, and mixed vegetables slight crunch on the tempura veggies also slight crunch grade B some other places season there tempura batter so it has slight kick here it was more standard batter then deep fried Salt n pepper pork chops — spicy yes if you accompany the pepper with the pork very spicy, pork by itself not so spicy grade A 49er roll — mix of unagi and salmon on top rolled. Delicious grade A Miso soup — was not a fan of there blend, very bland, watered down would not order again graded D Fried rice standard grade C+ nothing special just a filler for the juice of the meat or seafood plates you order Food **** on most items better then passing Price $$ not bad Service ***** very helpful, very friendly, they deliver Ambiance *** small allot of couples tables, open space neat
