I like how each person gets their own hot pot. This way, you do not have to worry about sharing germs or taking someone else’s food.

I rarely give Unilocal reviews but this place just does not know how to run business that it pissed me off to the point I had to. I called in two nights ago to confirm a reservation for the private room big enough for 18 people. I asked if it was the whole room, she said yes. I specifically told her, I’m throwing my bf’s birthday and watching the warrior games all at once, she said it’s fine. Day comes, she split my supposedly private room in half so that she can eat with her own friends. She squeezed our party of 18 on a table that was only made to accommodate 14 people. When I confronted her, she was hella rude and wanted to split my party to outside the room– what’s the point in having a birthday party if you want to split half my group outside the room? It was embarrassing to me and my BF as the hosts of the party and everyone was so uncomfortable at dinner. Check your business ethics. If you can’t accommodate business, tell me no so I can find someplace else. Never making a penny off of me or anyone I know. I will never tell anyone to go here, ever.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? All you can eat, good meat, good vegetables, basically shabu house but all you can eat. Might actually be better. Love this place. Will definitely come again. Amazing customer service! Free coconut jello too!!!

Tried to eat here at 10:15 pm but as we walked in they said they are closing early because there was no customers. Very rude. Take down your sign that says you close at 12am.

I’ve tried coming here twice recently and have been turned away both times. The first time, they had a private party and shut down the entire restaurant without notification. Then today, I tried to go and I got there at 11. The hours on Unilocal say open till 12 but they turned us away and said they were closed. They are open till 12, they were just too lazy to serve us. Don’t put your hours as open till 12 then! I drove 20 mins to get there for nothing. Never coming back here again and will warn my friends.

The convenience of a hotpot place close to home was splendid but that’s about all the excitement I had for it. It was only ok when it first opened and then it just kept going downhill. The service and the food were better in the beginning. Now both are nonexistent. It doesn’t help that the owner got ruder over time. The problem is not the price, which is actually cheap compare to other hotpot places. At any regular restaurant, you’ll probably only get two entrees at that rate. This is AYCE so price is decent. The problem is everything else. With so many better hotpot options, this is a NOGO.

I am not going to this place EVER!!! Me and my siblings with our family ate here earlier and surprisingly we are being charged for freaking 4kids!(1 yr old, 3 yr old, 5 yr old and 7mnths old) our kids didn’t even eat!!! And they said if it’s only 2 kids, they don’t charge but if its more than 2 kids they automatically charge 15.00 dollars! 2nd, the warmers takes FOREVER to warm up! 3rd, the dessert were not even considered dessert! Just jello, sweet sago, half tray of cantaloupe and 3pcs watermelon. Such a bad experience and ended up paying 283.00 dollars!

Let me tell you a story about how two little girls tried to be big girls and eat their own hot pot and failed miserably. Yes, that is correct, we ate sat there and ate hot pot for 2 hours and we still couldnt finish half of our food. WHICHMEANS *drum roll pleaseee* PORTIONS. ARE. HUGE. and if that doesnt convince you to go, they have complimentary dessert that you can get anyyyytime you want during your meal So, after a whole day of hiking and trekking to Alamere Falls, my friend and I wanted some nice warm dinner. Came into Little Fire Pot, there was no one really at the desk, so it took about 5 minutes for them to greet and notice us. There wasnt too many people in the restaurant. They gave us our menus and honestly, it was kinda confusing looking over it. I think if you were ordering AYCE($ 26), it would be a lot easier because they just give you a laminated card full of different things you can order. But we didnt want AYCE because we cant eat that much. To break it down if youre not eating AYCE: 1. You choose from 4 – 5 different hot pots. Each has a different variety of dumplings, meatballs, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. Each one is $ 23, except the vegetarian option($ 19), which you can substitute the meat for tofu. 2. After selecting which hot pot, you choose a type of meat or seafood you would like. You can choose half/half meats or if you want seafood or a more deluxe meat, it’s a little more. 3. Choose a broth! I love how this place has many different options of broth that most places dont offer, like thai tom yum, coconut curry, preserved egg, or a porridge, etc. 4. YOURTYPEOFCARBBBSYAAASS. they have egg noodles, udon, instant noodle, rice noodle, fish cake, etc. Most places dont even offer this stuff. Anyways, I got the Mongolian hot pot($ 23) with thai tom yum broth, with half pork belly/half rib eye with egg noodles. My friend got the vegetarian hot pot with spicy japanese miso with tofu and rice noodle. ANDWECOULDNTFINISH. They give you so much freaking food. They give you so much vegetables. I could barely eat dessert. I had a small bite out of everything. There was fruit, mango jelly, coconut jelly, and taro tapioca dessert. MYTAKEFROMTHIS: AYCE is the better deal, especially if you want meat and you can order whatever you want. But if you know you cannot eat $ 26 worth of food, i recommend sharing a hot pot with a friend. Then if you are still hungry, you can order additional meats, carb, or vegetable plates for $ 4-$ 8 dollars Parking is awesome. There is a parking lot down the street. Servers are mehhh. We asked our waiter for water 3 times until he gave it to us. But they were really nice about explaining how the menu worked. And there is hip hop/top 40s playing in the background. which fit the atmosphere kinda weirdly, but whatever.

We love hot pot! It was our first time here. The combo of being cozy inside with loud music seem to attract the younger crowd so gatherings were boisterous :-). Nevertheless it was fun for us to have experimented with all the offerings on the menu. Quality and service OK but in a town brimming with hot pot options, I feel this one won’t be on top of our list.

This place is just OK. I’ve eaten here maybe 3 or 4 times. I think the quality of the food is below average compared to other hot pot/shabu places. They do offer a lot more selection, though. I love how they offer tripe! Their spicy miso is pretty frikkin spicy, imo. I rarely drink my water when I eat out so I don’t get full too fast, but dang, I’ll take 3 glasses of water, please. The service is kinda sucky, too. If you ask for more than 3 things, they will mess something up somehow, or they will forget one of them. It’s nice how they have a little dessert table at the back that contains jello, fruits, and other desserts. Not a big selection. I only come here if I don’t want to make a drive to San Mateo for my regular hot pot/shabu.

Why are they charging so much for me to cook my own food? I can go to a good restaurant for $ 26 per person. They would cook my food, refill my drinks, talk to you, and flavor your food. What a concept! For $ 26 per person, I can eat like a king at home with a nice large 16 oz steak, shrimp and scallops. The staff needs to get an attitude adjustment. All they do is grunt. Really? You are in customer service? We wanted to order appetizers and drinks and they just took our hot pot order and ran. Appetizers and drinks is where they would have the largest profit margin, not the unlimited hot pot. I would agree with other reviews. They favor their friends and ignore the new customers. They have 6 different broths. It’s basically ranging from water to water with a hint of salt. They can come up with better sauces. This whole business model is so wrong. Successfully hot pot places I have been to allow the customers to pick their own ingredients from a salad bar arrangement, then you cook at the table. I never waste any food because I can see the quantity of what I’m cooking. From a business standpoint, this reduces wasted food. They could have brought the price down to $ 20 and still make a bigger profit. We probably wasted at least $ 20 in raw ingredients because they let us order whatever we want and didn’t question our order. How do we know what 1 quantity is? We ordered 1 – 2 things of about 10 ingredients. This was enough for 6 people instead of 4 people.

I think this is an OK restaurant. My friend and I came here on a rainy Saturday night(like 10ish). Luckily, there was one table available and we got it right away. Service was OK. The broth was a little bland IMO. I had the chicken & pork broth while my friend had the mushroom. It’s at least $ 26 for all you can eat hot pot. Some items have extra charge. I think it’s a little pricey but they make up with big portions. I like that it’s in Westlake. Very easy to find parking and they open late till midnight. I went here after watching a late movie at Century Theaters and it was a raining really hard. We craved for something hot to warm us down. And yes, Little fire pot was open. Definitely not my first choice for hot pot but will come back again in the future.

I really want to give you four stars but the quality just continues to go down. I’ve always enjoyed this place because I like cooking my food in my own pot. Pros: Choose your own broth, cook in your own pot. Meat can be decent on certain days. They have a good selection of items to cook. I can make a bomb sauce with my food. They got a TV so I can watch the Golden State Warriors kick some butt. Their price is really good during happy hour time. Cons: When their meat sucks, it sucks bad. Their servers just suck. I only like two of the servers here. Sometimes. I mark the item I want but they still bring me the wrong thing. I ask for something and they usually look confused. Sometimes, even, bring me the wrong thing. Their booth chairs are all beat up and kind of gross. I really hope you guys can remodel and up your meat quality game. I have high hopes for this place because they are a decent hot pot place. But if you keep treating your customers like crap then I don’t know. Bye Little Fire Pot, you will be slightly missed.

$ 26 for all you can eat is a little on the high side but at least the portions you get are good size. A full plate of meat will get you a dozen or so slices of beef and pork, or a nice mound of 8 – 10 full shrimps, and there are plenty of veggie options to add as well, which they don’t skimp on. The menu where you check off the ingredients you want to add to your hot pot can be a bit intimidating at first, but the items that are an upcharge are highlighted so there are no tricks. There are a la carte items as well, and even a little dim sum. Keep an eye on your pot burner, as they warm up your broth to boiling quickly. Also keep an eye out for your server, they can be hard to flag down at times. All in all, a fun way to keep warm for a little while on a cold night.

$ 22 for your own little hot pot and ayce options, why not?! This place is great for large parties who want to grab hot pot together. You don’t have to worry about what flavor broth everyone wants, or even toppings people want to eat. You get to order everything! The shrimp is also included and really sweet. I like that they give you tons of veggies and keep coming back to feed you more meat. The egg noodles/ramen isn’t very good. That is probably the only thing I wouldn’t order again. Otherwise, give it a try!

DONOTEATHERE! First of all this place has terrible service if you are not a friend to the staff you will be waiting forever! If you are a friend then good for you because they will let you cut the non existing waiting line. I asked a server how do I put my name down for a table and the girl said«I don’t know» how do you not know when you work here? Hence we ended up loosing our table to people that came later than us. Second the vegetable were not fresh at all a lot of the things they served were already yellowing and going bad. Third and the worst was as I ate i would feel my teeth grinding on sand and after a while i started seeing sand on my plate and after i finished my food I decided to empty out my pot to see what was there and I found so much sand! When I told the server she said it’s the«spices» for the soup. Umm i grew up around spices and what I saw in that post was definitely not a food seasoning! Therefore, i dug my finger into the bottom of the pot and took out some of the sand and showed it to her. It was then she took me seriously and took the pot away. They really don’t give a crap about you, and I felt very unwelcomed here. I was just trying to get a good meal and they gave me such bad service and attitude. It is safe to say I am never coming back here again and I will not recommend this place for any of my friends. If you are brave enough to eat here be my guest but be prepared to tuck your tail between your legs and say goodbye to your pride!

First off, I need to give some mad props to my new iPhone 6+. The photos turned out fantastic in low lighting.(See my photos) Was on my way to grab some Tani’s tamago to find that there is a huge line outside the tiny shop. Short on time I decided to try a a new place and opted for Little Fire Pot. You walk inside and find ample space for large parties and a bar wall for those who are eating alone. Service: Decently paced and very nice. Friendly smiles and helpful when letting the server know it was my first time. Though with only one guy working during the afternoon, I can imagine service become much slower if a huge crowd comes in. Food: Mainly advertised as an AYCE place, they also offer a full a la carte menu and a bar at the entrance. The extensive menu for AYCE was offered in very generous portions up front. They also had many sauces to choose from. The Order: — Meat Rice — A bowl of rice with piled with delicious fatty, oily pork meat and we loved it! So four orders were requested — Ribeye — Generous portion for starters — Jumbo Shrimp– Five pieces per order — Crunchy Fishball– A handful of fishball — Pork Skin– 6+ pieces — Fresh Beef Dumpling– Good — Fresh Shrimp Paste Dumpling– I enjoyed the shrimp paste balls more than the beef. Both tasted fresh — Napa Cabbage — Spinach — Large bundle — Enoki mushroom — Large bundle — Corn Ear — Two pieces — Tomato — Four wedges — Daikon Radish — A big handful — Chicken Pork Broth — Spicy Sichuan– Good spices with slices of garlic and herbs I was barely able to finish this round. No way for me to ask for a second round, even though I had originally considered it. While you would think I would want to rush and return, a few fruit flies swarming around were a huge turn off. I also noticed other reviews mentioning about them two years ago. So if they didn’t fix the problem then, I think this will be an ongoing experience. You have been warned. I may still return in the future. Everything else was solid. What you need to know: — You can easily control your cooking temperature using a dial that is at the front of where you are sitting — Individual mini pots are offered at all tables — There’s one private room for a large party, located in the back near the restrooms — $ 22AYCEEVERYDAYBEFORE6:00PM(REG. $ 26) — 20% off the Premium AYCE before 6:00PM(REG $ 29.95) — Additional 5% Discount will Apply if pay By Cash!(Min. $ 25+) — Check board for other specials including adding AYCD beer/beverages

My friends and I were craving hot pot on a cold day in the city after supporting our college dragon boat team’s last race of the season. We decided to check out Little Fire Pot upon a friend’s recommendation of what he liked and because it was really close by to where we were at(which was Lake Merced). It wasn’t packed at all when we rolled in around 6pm on a Sunday night. For about $ 22 you can have All You Can Eat with your own individual hot pot. Honestly, my friends and I were so confused as to how the menu worked but we asked the server to explain it to us since he didn’t in the first place. Service here is a bit eh. They don’t really check up on you at all. We all had to ask for more water, order more meat/veggies, etc. Onto the food… meat was alright, veggies were veggies, and the other stuff was good too. Usually AYCE Hot Pot for dinner would be around $ 25-$ 30 but that’s because the food is pretty damn good. Little Fire Pot satisfied my tummy but didn’t really satisfy my taste buds. If I was around the area I would probably look for a better hot pot place if it means paying a little more. On the bright side you get Annin tofu(almond jello) and Coconut Sago as complimentary desserts! :P And I like how you get your own hot pot!
