Lucy’s Nails Salon

I got a gel manicure on Friday and today (Tuesday) just three days later, the paint has chipped off. Also note that Lina (Lucy’s sister in law) cut my cuticles further back than she should have. For the first couple days it was swollen and red with slight puss. If it hadn’t subsided by Monday I said I’d go to the doctor just in case it was infected. A
I went there today to show them what they had done (I literally live a block away) and Lina kept insisting that it was my fault because of my hang nails. She didn’t even apologize.
Do not give them your business. They will mutilate you and not take any responsibility for their actions.
Also, they don’t wash their hands between customers. So nasty.

My nails started chipping/​wearing at day 3. That’s never happened before. I work at a desk most of the day. If anything they would grow out after 2 weeks and I would get a fill or pop them off. The point is that I had to paint over the acrylic nails myself and it lasted a week longer than the salon’s job. I’m very disappointed with the low quality, so I’m updating my review from 2 stars to 1.
I got a fill at Top 10 Salon on Mission. I got a much better result and what do you know– there was no nail drying necessary.

I tried this place for the first time and will definitely not be going back. I had a pedicure and a full set of acrylics done. The pedicure was okay, nothing special. When it came time to the foot massage, which is my favorite part, she spent barely 5 minutes. I was very disappointed. I got french tip for my pedicure and it was very sloppy and not straight or even. Also, the entire time I was getting a pedicure a lady was on the phone screaming the entire time which made it very difficult to relax. The lady who was screaming on the phone was the one who did my acrylics and she was extremely rough. She actually cut my finger with her own nail while pushing my cuticles back. She repeatedly filed over my cuticles with the electric nail file, which really hurt. I even said ouch a couple times and she didn’t even acknowledge me. She did a horrible job on my nails. She was very sloppy and messy. I spent 30 min picking acrylic off my fingers when I got home. She did the acrylic so thin and sloppy that within 4 days my nails were already lifting up. I’ve done my own acrylics without any training and did a better job. By the end of the week my nails were chipping and breaking off so I had to take them off. This place does have cheap prices, but you get what you pay for. I DO NOT recommend this place. They have no customer service skills and do terrible nails. Save your time and money.

Came in for waxing. Lina is very friendly, works fast (had a class to go to after) but is gentle and thorough. Next time, I’ll come in and try the mani pedi!

I had a bad experience here. The lady that did my nails was rushing that her nail filer was flying left and right. Not only was my nails was horribly done, she cut me twice while filing my nails. I was so disappointed, she didn’t get any tips from me. My sister in law also tried this place, and her acrylic nails chipped and fell off in few days. Yes, they’re cheap but so are their supplies. Don’t expect your nails to last a week. I guess that’s what they want… for people to go there every week. Service definitely SUCKS here. I’m never returning. Oh and it’s pretty hard finding parking here too.

Lina’s new spot is now at top of the hill in Daly Cit and I must say it looks way better than her old one. Lina always does my pedicures and gel manicures and I always leave a happy customer. The prices are very cheap too! Even if its 730pm she won’t rush you out the door. I called at 745pm and she said to come in! She never does a half ass job either that’s what I love about this place!

I love this place. Lina is just the best plus the price is soo great!

I’ve never had a bad pedicure experience ever until this place. I came here with a friend to kill some time and it was close by her house. The lady doing my pedicure RIPPED off the cuticle on the side of my toe instead of cutting it off with the cuticle cutters. Felt like she ripped a hang nail off. Blood everywhere and it didn’t phase her. When she put nail polish on, she got it all over the toes then just used her nails to clean off the sides right into my bloody wound. My pedicure looked sloppy with nail polish on the skin, which i had to remove later at home. My toe is still sore and sometimes bleeds and I got my pedicure 5 days ago.
My friend luckily didn’t bleed, but she said her lady was a little too rough on her toes. They were a little pink and raw looking a few hours later.

Always prompt and curteous service.
I’ve been going here for years and haven’t had a bad experience. I’ve had manicures, pedicures, acrylic full sets, and waxes. Lina is the best at waxing! She’s quick, efficient, and thorough. Even when I hadn’t been in months, as soon as I walked in, she remembered me and my usual services.
If you’re stil there at closing time, they won’t rush you out.
They’re closed on Sundays. Street parking only. They take cash and cards.
