The service was good. I was surprised by the inside of the restaurant because of the location. It was nice. I eat and cook middle eastern food on a daily basis. I ordered the lamb kabob. I don’t know who cooked it but we didn’t like the seasoning. I think they should stick to lemon, garlic, salt and pepper. The seasoning they used didn’t taste good. I would try the restaurant again.

Considering that I had plenty of Greek food. This was just ok. The stuffed cabbage leaves were a hit. The lamb was fresh. The rest of the food Lang gyro platter and chicken gyro were ok. Too heavily salted and service was just ok.

I had the feta salad with grilled chicken. The salad was very fresh. The chicken was well seasoned and good quality. Very friendly service. You’re greeted with a sit wherever you’d like. Wine is inexpensive. A very nice dinner all around.

Came here on a trip from NYC… great hummus and falafel… everything tastes fresh, like if you made it at home… trust me… I eat hummus every day and this place is great. Busy crowd at lunch. The restaurant was completely full.

This is a restaurant rating(vs the neighboring store): Ambience was ok. Service good. I had the lunch combo: Tabouli salad was good. Baba Gounaugh & hummus were just ok; nothing special. Tasted like bought at grocery store. Pita wasn’t homemade. Ok food in general. Not anything close to special in my opinion.

We love eating at Hanna’s; everything is delicious. One of our favorites is the mezze platter, which includes hummus, baba ganoush, tabouli, dal, moussaka, falafel, olives, yogurt, stuffed grape leaves, kibbe and spinach pie along with pita — yum, what a treat.

Amazing food, friendly staff, clean and small. Priced resonably for the amount of food. So glad I came for lunch. May even return for dinner. But will come back for sure

The food was good, but the service was sketchy and terrible. We were the only customers in the place and the waiter was hardly around. Didn’t bring us water and when I asked he brought 1 cup for 2 people. WTF. Then at the end, he brought the bill and I put my card down. He came back and said«i hope you weren’t planning to pay by credit card. Our credit card system is down so you have to give me cash OR you can GIVEMEYOURCREDITCARD # and I can run it later». No way. I will not be back.

I have never eaten in the restaurant but shop regularly at the attached grocery. It is a terrific resource, especially for all types of olives, nuts, spices and seasonings, flatbreads and other Mediterranean /Middle Eastern food. The prices are fair and the people who run the shop are quiet but friendly. I usually have to shop for these items in NYC, so it is great to have a source that is much closer to home.

I love this place. I’d say it’s a go-to for me. I always order take out in the market section. They have a really nice market to check out. I love their falafel. Super messy, super worth it. Never eaten in, but I’d like too. I HATE their parking lot location, not their fault though!

Solid, dependable middle eastern, with reasonable prices. There is even a deli next to the restaurant for middle eastern products and food to go. We have had several very good meals here. The wine selection is not too varied, but they do offer some beers. Service is polite and helpful if you have questions. A good value for tasty food.

This place was perfect. We stopped for lunch on our way through Danbury. Right off 84, the waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered the meat hommous(meat on the side), mousakaa, and vegetarian grape leaves. The hommous was incredible, the mousakaa delicious if not a little bit sweet for my taste and the grape leaves were perfect. Each dish came out in under three minutes! And three appetizers was enough for two to be full. The only thing I wasn’t completely thrilled with was the pita. It’s clear they get it out of a giant plastic package of very thin, very chewy generic pitas. I’ve had AMAZING pitas before and I really thought these detracted from how delicious the food was. The atmosphere is great, the music was wonderful!

wonderful little place– although I’ve never actually eaten in the rest. the grocer/deli next door has incredibly authentic dishes. Hummus, Falafel, Salads, Gyros,(platters/sandwiches), Tabouli, huge pins of olives and sesame candies!

This is my husband’s favorite restaurant. He always get the chicken tawook served over a bed of deliciously seasoned lettuce. The hummus is delectable We have always had a good meal here. The servers take good care of you. It is a small neighborhood place, great lighting(dim) quiet, with middle eastern music playing in the background. One night, we heard a distinct and familiar voice, and I could not believe my eyes — it was the celebrity Harvey Fierstein. Apparently, he lives in the area and dines at Hanna’s occasionally. The little grocery store attached has a great selection. I get big containers of hummus to take home — prices equivalent to the grocer but oh sooo much better, and they have packages of bulghar to make your own tabouli. Don’t expect cheerful service in the store though. It’s seems tthis is serious business!

Great food, good prices, what more do you need? The falafel is fabulous as are all of the dishes that I have sampled thus far. If ordering a salad, get the dressing on the side as they tend to drench it in dressing like I’ve never seen. There isn’t an amazing atmosphere for dining but the atmosphere can be improved with a great dining companion and a glass of wine.

Hanna’s is worth a visit if your in the area and a fan of mideastern food. I was surprised it had limited reviews as it is Zagat rated. I was in the area and the rating caught my eye. Not much else about Hanna’s would. Its unobtrusively located in a small strip mall and inside, nothing is exotic or fancy. The important things, food and service, are great. Our waitress was covering eight tables and had no problem keeping all of the balls in the air, as well as being pleasant and helpful. The food was not fancy but was good down home mideastern cuisine. My wife, no fan of fava beans was mopping up the ful with her pita, The lamb stuffed grapeleaves were good and the baba ganoush had an excellent smokey flavor from the roasted eggplant. My only gripe about the menu is that raw kibbeh has to be ordered in advance for larger groups… guess that there aren’t a lot of raw lamb fans in Danbury. The wine list is small but reasonable and includes several good Lebaneese wines of good value. Worth a visit.
