This place has the worst customer service in Danbury there staff is rude and they got my order wrong I would never go there again!

This was probably the worst dining experience I’ve had since I’ve moved to Danbury.
1. Waiter refused to substitute ham for bacon which were offered for the same price in the sides (not a huge problem)
2. Waiter didn’t know the windmill breakfast which is essentially their breakfast special every diner has. Had to read it off the menu to know what was in it.
3. Waiter brought pancakes and eggs with a hair laying right on top
4. Waiter did not include sausage on the plate and asked me that’s included in the meal?
5. Waiter brought cold potatoes that didn’t taste good either
6. The sausage though small, tasted pretty good
7. The owner or managers collecting money at the front were told it was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in the 2 years I’ve lived here. They seemed disinterested while asking why and said sorry. Very clear they didn’t care.

Eggs were ok Breakfast canned white potatoes made into home fries? Pricey menu service was fast but slow on returning to table to be checked on i guess as a last resort it would come before fast food other wise extra mile east to Pine Grove is well worth my gas

Food was terrible. Ordered a feta cheese and spinach omelette and it came with cold feta cheese and tough spinach. Most of the omelette was cold. The waitress looked like she was doing hard drugs outside on her break and made the entire experience very uncomfortable. The only thing that was good was the toast…

Not great… Its dated and old inside… this is prob why the food is on the cheaper side for a diner… The food is not that great… the burgers are ehhhh — definitely a frozen patty on a not so good roll… I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here… the host (I assume the owner) is kind of a tool — I think he thought that he was doing us a favor by seating us…

A complete 360 change from the diner in New Milford.
Fast efficient service. Friendly servers and check out register people.
Food is better, service is MUCH better… and they are always happy to see you, seat you, and serve you right away!
Avoid New Milford Windmill and take the extra trip. Trust me it’s 100% worth it!

My boyfriend and I used to go at least once a week when we first moved to Danbury because we just wanted a good diner. The first few times weren’t terrible, but we started to realize that he was getting sick every single time we went. The staff is incredibly rude, they seem to only value their regulars, and they’re pushy to get you in and out. I think if they simplified the menu they’d perfect a few dishes and it would be more popular.

Waitress was very pleasant and courteous, the food was pretty good for the price. However the nasty, grumpy non friendly women who’s the owner at the front desk is the reason why I rated this place so low. For me if you own the place you should at least be friendly and ask how the food was or at least smile. She just took our check, made no eye contact have me my receipt and said have a nice day, horrible.

Nice sized diner with an extensive menu! The prices are reasonable and the food is good, fresh, and delivered quickly. Great for groups and casual dining for all meals.

I have been dining here for years and after today, i will no longer. The 3 meals that were served to our table were, at best, mediocre.
And before that food, the arrogant owner was rude and insulting as he seated us.
The only saving grace was our waitress who was very pleasant and nice.
And no «thank you» as my husband paid at the register.

Been here twice in 2 years. Food is eh, nothing to rave about. Its lower than your typical diner quality of food. Once for lunch and breakfast. Service was fast but that’s about the best thing I can say. Wouldn’t frequent again.

My husband and I were passing through town on a New England road trip and felt like some diner food. This place is conveniently located right off a main road with designated entrance/​exit zones. Plenty of parking and a handicap ramp entrance as well.
It was a Sunday around 4:30 — 5:00 and there were maybe 5 or 6 tables filled. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress within a few minutes.
We both ordered burgers-​med. rare, and gravy fries. The burgers come with the usual toppings plus a split roasted green pepper, cole slaw and a pickle. Pretty good deal for the money. It took less than 10 minutes for us to receive our orders and they were cooked as requested. The food was good. The waitress was nice and attentive without hovering. Overall a pleasant experience.

I stopped in here after spending some time in Danbury for the first time ever. We were looking for a spot to eat some breakfast and came across this diner. We were seating quite quickly and there was plenty of room for the 5 people in our party. Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders and food orders. I ordered the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs. It came out of the kitchen very quickly along with everyone else’s food and it was pretty good. The one thing that I would say was not so great is the way the the waitress kind of stacked food on top of eachother while carrying it to our table. I don’t want my food touching the bottom of someone else’s plate before I eat it. Not very appetizing. The waitress also seemed a bit on edge or nervous while serving us. After reading some of the other pretty negative reviews about the owner, maybe that’s why she was acting that way? Either way, decent breakfast and very quick.

Disgusted beyond belief. The staff here is so kind and the owner is BEYOND rude.
He just yelled at a waitress for helping an elderly lady try to find her 1955 class ring. When I told him he was out of line, he yelled at me. I reminded him that I was the customer and he was being disrespectful. My son didn’t like that he was yelling at the waitress. I asked if he was the owner and he said yes. I told him he shouldn’t speak to his employees this way, when all she was trying to do was help and he told me he didn’t care. I told him he should, I am a customer and I care, and my 11 year old was hearing and seeing him yell at her. He didn’t care what I thought. Unreal! The staff was super nice.
Hey owner (I think John)… My husband works for a huge company up the street… You just lost their business and 1600 friends on Facebook (700 local), all know how rude you are now. When I was leaving and paying my check, he said thank you. I said don’t thank me, you were rude. He told me that I didn’t know the whole story. I told him that it didn’t matter, he made it our business when yelling and my son was bothered by it. I told him he was acting like a shmuck… guess what, he told me I was a shmuck. Then I used a word that I am not proud of, but I Was SOOOO upset. He never once felt the need to just apologize.

This is a tasty and convenient place to have breakfast, especially on the weekend. I’ve enjoyed good food here several times, and have only had positive experiences with the wait staff.

I used to go here when I was a little kid after church and it used to be great. This diner however has been on a downward slope. The ownership/​management is terrible, the staff is rude. And they don’t make poached eggs after 11 am?! Thats a diner staple. I ordered them at 10:50 and the waitress was incredibly rude saying that she can’t promise I’ll get them because they kitchen already started breaking down the equipment to make them. If it says until 11 it should be until 11 .even though thats ridiuclous anyways. I also overheard the owner telling a story to a customer about how she asked patrons who were angry and upset about their experience there to pay an $ 5-​$ 10 fee for making the waitress cry… ARE YOU F&@*ING KIDDING?! Just terrible. Wow this place should be on the TV show Restaurant Impossible… really just terrible and continues to get worse.

A relative took me to their favorite after church breakfast place. I shared some of the poor reviews but off we go. Our group of four was seated in about ten minutes as they were very busy. Probably another ten for a waitress and almost 30 minutes for food. Even a busy breakfast place should be able to pump food out quicker than this. House made corned beef hash was lacking in flavor. Hash browns were luke warm and eggs were overlooked. Food was disappointing.

Seriously? I cannot believe you had the nerve to even write that. Let me set the record straight.
1. We ordered a dinner that came with a salad or a cup of soup (which turned out to be mushy). Of course we ate the salad because it came out before the meal. When the meal came out and was simply horrible, you should have just dealt with the fact that not everyone likes your food. Instead, you acted like a mean bully and demanded that we pay for the salad and soup. That 6.00 was pretty tacky for you to insist on. Never did we say anything about getting a comp for our food. You are making that one up. It wasn’t about the money, it was about principle. Just shocking to see a diner owner behave that way. My only regret is that I didn’t read the other reviews that other patrons have written about you and your establishment. Others have complained about you too. You are a very rude person and you need to improve your attitude. Your diner was empty and I think you must have needed that $ 6.00.

My wife and I had breakfast here on Wednesday, 12÷26÷12. I had 2 eggs over easy, ham, English muffin, home fries and coffee. My wife had scrambled eggs, toast, home fries, and coffee. Our orders were easy and should be perfect. Unfortunately, my wife had a large egg shell in her eggs and the home fries tasted like they were sitting in the grill for hours. Service was good but the coffee refills were scarce. The main dining area seemed clean but the bathrooms were on the not so nice side. I wouldn’t make it my go to place for breakfast.

Nice little diner. Went in for a bit of breakfast after some mall shopping.
I know it’s hard to mess up breakfast, and it’s not a great barometer of a place, but they did a good, fast job with it. The waitress was great. Everything was wonderful. Nice place for a good, quick meal.
