Came in during the snowstorm. My wine was old, but after watching the other two people at the bar complain about something and see the reaction… I just drank it. Mozzarella sticks were fine, cup of fresh fruit was surprisingly good. However, Son’s burger was like a rock. Then my steak tip salad came and I cut into the first tip… it was blue, raw and cold. Removed all tips onto side plate(that had pieces from the mozzarella sticks, tomato sauce, and various other crumbs, used forks from apps on it) and cut them all open. All raw. Called waitress, who took them into kitchen and reappeared with same steak, put back on the grill and cooked, telling me «Mm, smells good!» So if you go here, you will not only get your meal but part of my son’s, daughter’s and mine, all from that same grill… yuck. Husband said«Wow– really? I would have expected new steak?» Waitress: Oh… My salad and tips were taken off the bill. And we won’t go back. What a bummer. Just as we left the music was turned up to a ridiculous volume for the 4 people in the room.

My husband and I stopped in the day after Thanksgiving so the kitchen was not up to speed on all the items it would normally have, but I ordered a burger with an egg on it and the bartender/server ran out and picked up eggs so the cook could make it for me. Score! The fries and onion rings are fantastic, and the place is small but great! We watched some hockey, enjoyed our burgers and chatted with a few other patrons sitting at the bar — I imagine on a normal night the place is probably buzzing with activity.

Since they have a new cook, who really understands food, it’s improved greatly! The only 2 complaints i have is the younger the bartender, the louder and crappier the music becomes. And my 2nd is Peach Schnapps in a White Zinfandel & Soda Water Spritzer, Good thing I saw her adding(I’m allergic to peaches, & would have spent the afternoon in the ER) WTF?

Keeping this to bullet points * couldn’t have been worse * arrived. Waited 5 minutes for acknowledgement. Told we could sit anywhere. Sat, then told we couldn’t sit at table and had to move *Waited 5 minutes. Then 10. Then 15 and hey menus arrived. Get excited! * 15 minutes later, waitress arrives to take order… I order a meat lovers pizza. Wife orders a steak bomb on a sub roll with cole slaw. Plus bbq chicken finger app, which the waitress asks if we want first. Response«yeah ok». * we know this is going to be wrong but ok. How wrong? Man oh man. * ten minutes later waitress says they don’t have sub rolls. Wife asks for white bread. Has trouble understanding this. Still hoping for the best. * food arrives, I know I’m excited. Do you remember reading that I ordered chik fingers? That makes you, me and my wife. Waitress didn’t get the memo. * remember the no fries, sub coleslaw? Me too. Waitress, no dice. * remember the meat lovers pizza? I was delivered a veggie wrap. That is literally the opposite of everything I ordered. Flat pizza vs. round wrap. Pizza vs sandwich. MEAT vs VEGGIES. *all in, pizza and close slaw never made an appearance. But at least the food we got was completely average. * the pb&j I ended up having for dinner at least was dinner ALL I CANSAYPOSITIVELYABOUTTHISEXPERIENCEWASTHEFOODWEWERESERVEDWAS, in fact, FOOD.

It just gets worse. Is it Christina. Is that her name. I’m not sure. She is too busy giving free booze to regulars. Spiro you will. Go out of business. Service is terrible even at bar. Why did I try again. Never coming back. I hope the next place is better when this fails.

The only highlight of this place was the waitress, although mild mistakes were made she was a delight to deal with. That being said, the food was dry and uninspiring, the breaded chicken tenders were the same quality as the packages of store brand chicken tenders you could find at your local grocery store for $ 2.99. Overpriced appetizer options, salads that contained tomatoes cut with the step pieces still attached and rotten and wilted pickles served with your wrap or sub. But the biggest reason why I give this place such a low score is the soda fountain drinks, they tasted nasty and under carbonated me and my party had to send them back twice only for the bartender to do nothing but give an attitude about how she didn’t think it tasted bad. Even the water had an unclean taste to it. And with as dry as the entrees were, it was torturous to not have a nice drink to wash down the cardboard boxes that this place serves as food. There are other restaurants on this strip of road more worthy of your hard earned money. I suggest going to one of them instead.

Boring menu and forgettable food. We got apps to share but can’t recall what they were. I do remember my fiancé ordered a beer and the glass was broken. Our waitress was apologetic and comped the round, which was appropriate, but I just cant see any reason to return here.

Food was terrible! You can tell it wasn’t fresh, no complaints about the bartender, she was very nice. The beer selection was ok, not to much to choose from.

I would disregard ALL of the negative comments below. I am also a regular and a towny. The manager is not on «something» he’s actually a very friendly, hard working guy who is constantly working. The food is AMAZING! I never know what to get when I’m in there because everything I’ve had was good. Staff is very inviting and friendly and the place is kept very clean. Do not base off of others comments. TRYFORYOURSELF !!

Food is ok, no better or worse then any similar place in the area. Waitstaff is polite and good natured. The concerning part is the management. Im a local, ive met my friends there many times. On more then one occasion i have seen the manager/cook nodding off at the bar or completely obliterated on some form of drugs. I would not find this suitable for families. The final straw was tonight when i witnessed the best bartender they had leave, from what i gather, permensntly. She was the best part of visiting this place. I wont be returning.

We love it there, frequent the place often, Vinny the general manager is a great guy. Great bartenders and great food. My personal favorite is the breakfast burger, egg bacon and cheese on a burger. Love the corned beef Reuban and clam chowder too. Great overall atmosphere…

I like the feel of the place. Never went when it was maple st tavern. A bit shocked at price, 122ozbeer, 216ozbeer, Mac and cheese, fish and chips and crock of chili $ 75 including tip! Saucy for what we got, probably won’t go back.

Huge improvement over the old place(Maple St Tavern) so if you were soured on that try this out again, it has nothing to do with the old poorly run place except the location. Fun bar atmosphere, full liqour license now and a real, experienced chef who knows what he is doing when it comes to food. Great flatbread pizzas and sandwiches, and steak tips which is all I’ve tried so far.

No better than the failed Maple Street Tavern that came before it. I’ll start with the bad: our waitress told me they didn’t have hard cider but when I questioned about the angry orchard handle I thought I saw she said oh but we do have angry orchard. That’s cider lady. They have a crappy wine list but I wasn’t there for a good glass of wine but my companion drinks wine. We were eating light I ordered a salad which was meh and she ordered a crock of chili. Our waitress made an annoyed comment about us ordering light. Wow. So our rude waitress came back like five times during our meal to get rid of us and take our plates. I hate that. She also brought us the check when we had full drinks and then waited for me to write the tip in after running my card and grabbed the bill. Terrible service subpar food. Very limited menu. Oh they were also having tv issues during the game that day which didn’t go over well with the few patrons who were there. The good: my accomplice enjoyed her chili and I like a 22oz hard cider on draft. I won’t be back.

Friends and I ate here this afternoon, I ordered the speciality burger with BBQ sauce, bacon and onion strings it arrived with only lettuce an tomato. After asking the bartender about the missing ingredients I was met with a scowl before she reluctantly took it back. Turns out the menu is incorrect and they do not have onion strings but were more than willing to drizzle on some BBQ sauce. One friend ordered a meatball sub and what he got was chicken parm. Subsequent questioning of the same bartender was met with the statement of «no, you ordered chicken parm.» An individual who worked at the establishment did mention that the bartender was new, however that is no excuse for rudeness and incorrect menus. I’d go here for a pint but would be hesitant to test the menu again.

We were very hesitant to try Osborn and we really didn’t like Maple Street Tavern. It was a pleasant surprise. The carpet is gone… yeah and in its place are hard wood floors. A much needed improvement. There are more options for high top pub style tables which we liked. The food was really great! They have kids night every Wednesday where kids eat for free and face painting. We will be back.

So this is the old Maple Street Tavern. Reopened as Osborn Tavern, my girlfriend and I happened in for lunch this afternoon. This spot is truly a gem in the center of Danvers and it easily on par with any of the other casual dining spots in the area. The atmosphere is awesome, the huge bar with multiple flat screen makes me very excited for hockey season I am really hoping that they make an occasion of showing all the bruins games. I think this would make an awesome spot for all the hockey fans in Danvers. The food was awesome, I had a corned beef Ruben and it was very well done. Heaped corned beef with sauerkraut and thousand islands. The fries are also really good, which is generally how I rate these places. You can tell by how the fries come out they get the fryer temp correct, which is actually somewhat of a rarity. My girlfriend had the vodka penne w/chicken, which was similarly awesome. I hear the head chef is from the north end and really knows how to do Italian food right. I have to see if they have WiFi, as this would also be an awesome place to work from for those of us who are generally relegated to Starbucks or Panera when working remotely. Probably my favorite new place in Danvers, as long as they keep it up I will probably be back over and over.
