Spent a Fall afternoon tasting at their Davis showroom and it was a very comfortable experience. The staff was very helpful and kind, not the least bit snooty like sometimes happens. They understood that I wasn’t there to be a connoisseur and kindly left me to my own. After sitting at their counter and reading for a time, I ended up buying a bottle of Merlot.
PROS: variety; very knowledgeable and kind staff; fun people that come by; bright and cheery atmosphere
CONS: only wine; sparsely decorated

Putah Creek makes great wines, and their tasting room is charming. Andy’s the man — he knows his wines and is very hospitable. Would definitely return and can easily recommend this place.

Had a great time there tonight. Danny was awesome. Unbelievable quality and price point. Will be back very soon. Im usually just a red drinker but the unoaked chardonnay was excellent.

This is a great wine tasting place! The wine is great! We went here because I always see this place and finally decided to make a trip to Davis to try it out. We walked in and Andy welcomed us. He made this visit really nice if I could give them more then Five Stars I would based off the customer service. He is very knowledgable about the wines they make and was really friendly and enjoyable to talk to. We were planning on trying out the other wineries in the area but ended up staying at this one which ended up being the right choice.
If you like good wine and enjoy a nice atmosphere then this is the place you want to go to.

Was never sure when to come in so when I saw on Facebook that the tasting room was celebrating their 1 year anniversary, I just had to go. The tasting room feels very different from the Davis I know mainly because it’s almost completely untouched by students. My friends and I felt a little out of place at first since we didn’t know what to do but the employees are very helpful and nice.
The tasting room does $ 15 wine tasting sets where you can try 4 different wines. If you purchase a bottle of wine that is more than $ 15 then the $ 15 fee for the tasting is waived. You are also allowed to split the tasting (I had 3, my friend had 1). Because of the anniversary, we all got a free glass of their sauvignon blanc which was one of my favorites of the day.
The event itself was really fun and relaxing. Really recommend this place if you want to get away from the «college vibe» for a bit.

Sorry I should say the woman who helped us was Jessica. By the way they have a monthly drawing and my husband won the free bottle of Chardonnay .we went to pick it up and found Jessica to be just as friendly and helpful as ever.
