Had my new phone sent here to be held for pickup because I was afraid that being near the holiday, I might not get it in time and it would be faster to pick it up. Plus I didn’t want to wait around the house all day for a package.
Doing this is what’s called a «delivery exception».
Went down to pick up the phone, only to be told that it was on a truck, to be delivered to my house.
I asked the staff member «But it says delivery exception right here, and on your computer screen.» «That means that there is an exception to the delivery, right?» «Yes sir.» «So why is it on a truck then?»
Anyway, they couldn’t give me an answer, but did apologize. The woman even tagged my package to be delivered before 10am. Low and behold, as I pulled into my driveway, the FedEx truck was there, with my new phone.
Alls well that ends well.

I would also like to add that since this is a distro center, their drop-off is later than you think: 830pm.
I think that’s just about the latest possible, short of driving to the airport.
But that’s express: Ground drop-off is 6pm.
This office is pretty popular, so if you can pre-print and pre-address, it is highly recommended. Most times there are 2 – 3 people waiting.
Overall, I’ve had a fine experience there (and I too go once or twice a week). They take my packages with a smile — which more than I can say for the post office.
