Starbucks

If you are in a hurry, do yourself a favor, and GO INSIDE! The drive-​thru has to be the slowest drive-​thru in northern Illinois. Waited 25 mins just for a black tea. I would have easily gone in, but I had a sleeping baby in the car. I have no idea what is wrong with the management of this location’s drive-​thru service, but they seriously need to step!

Went to this location, Friday nite, always out of pike coffee, Need it ready when I stop in. This location needs to have hot fresh coffee on hand at all times!

Starbucks is Starbucks? Right? Wrong! I think this Starbucks drive thru is the slowest in the area — it will oftentimes take 10 minutes or more when it should take half of the time. In the handful of times I’ve been here I was served attitude with my order. As other people have mentioned the service isn’t always warm & fuzzy. Orders have been fine but will drive out of the way to avoid the awkward Deerbrook mall parking lot — signage is also an issue. Entering & exiting the drive they can be confusing.

If this location wasn’t so close, I’d be going anywhere else for my caffeine binges. They often botch order after order, and rarely offer to fix it. I run through here a lot for myself and my boss. I wish it were more efficient.

Super friendly and clean place! I end up always asking for refills on my coffee and tea and the baristas always gladly refill them for me. They have several tables for 2 and also a longer table for 8. Comfy lounge area near the center of the store and outlets are sufficient throughout the store. It’s part of a huge strip mall so parking is never an issue! An outside sitting area is also available.

I love this location! I come here just about everyday on my way to work. Drive through can be a bit of a wait but it’s totally worth the extra few minutes. I’ve never had a horrible experience here either. The staff seems like they’re in a good mood seen as I’ve never dealt with anyone so far that was mean or anything. I’ve had a few drinks messed up, but hey we’re all human it happens, and they’re fixed right away!

Love this location always clean they give u your coffee quick unlike other locations they’re not dirty very clean and friendly

New location, great store setup with plenty of large tables and outlets for working!!! However, I received a lot of attitude from the barista… he slid my coffee at me across the counter which wasn’t too bad but then he did the same thing with my pastry even though I was standing directly in front of him and had my hand out ready to take it. Then he just turned away quickly and didn’t say anything… very awkward

I go here to study all the time. The drinks I order come out pretty fast. They’re friendly and leave you to be when you want to sit down and just chill. If they get an order wrong, they’ll either give the drink you ordered for free or remake.
They’re friendly, and the customer service fits me. The atmosphere is nice to study, relax, or work.

Really nice location and one of the fastest starbucks drive thru I have been too. Usually they drag while you are just sitting there but this location had great customer service and fast in delivering the coffee. Definitely get the white chocolate mocha to warm you up in this cold weather.

My first time at this new to me Starbucks location and I am a fan. The layout of this location is nice and has lots of seating. There is a section that seems to be purposely dark for people using technology. There are lots of tables for meeting and study groups. The layout also seems very efficient in the way the register is situated relative to the seating areas.
The staff seems to be very nice as well. I was greeted warmly and was treated well as I wish all Starbucks locations would treat their guests.
For me this location is convenient and I will be coming back!

The staff at this location are the friendliest and most efficient of any of the Starbucks locations I’ve ever been to. I come in a lot to get coffee and treats for my coworkers often and am never disappointed with the quality of my service or coffee/​food.

For a new facility still needs to be organized… stock supplies were still out in main room when I entered. Plus i bought an iced lemon loaf and definitely was not fresh… almost day old even… I’d take a look at the pastries before buying.

Really unpleasant experience! Running AC at really low temperature when outside was like 50 degrees.

This spot is ok, nothing special. I have both recieved attitude and friendliness here. I have had drinks made wrong which i don’t say anything cuz it’s whatever, but yeah. I have also had them forget about my drink.
Whatever though, its starbucks if thats what you’re looking for and its a nice looking store.

I order the same thing every time. They specifically say they hear my order, which is a grande IN A VENTI CUP, and then always give me a grande cup. In a grande cup there is not enough ice for me so my soy milk tastes warm, which I hate. After waiting in the drive-​thru line for 20 minutes with three kids in the car I don’t feel like going back because it is wrong.
When I did take my kids out of the car because my drink was terrible, they make me wait for everyone else’s drink to be made in a GIANT line of like TWENTY PEOPLE. This is after THEY messed up – I was shocked. What gives? You should have remade my drink first I already waited long enough! Then I parked, hauled three kids in… no drink coupon offered either.
I have noticed the baristas here don’t always shake the soy milk. This means the end pour get way more sediment int he bottom of the cup. It comes up through the straw in chunky pieces of grossness. I hate seeing a ¼ inch of sediment in my cup.
I try to avoid this one if I can.

The worst… let me say it again… THE WORST customer service I have EVER experienced at a Starbucks or ANY coffee shop in my life. I received attitude in the store when I requested a remake for my son (which I’ve had to do only once before) and a, «lesson in what Starbucks coffee tastes like.» I live above a Starbucks. I’ve been to many. I know the taste. This was a watery burnt mess. I was talked about in front of the other customers. I had my drink tossed at me. And when I called to get corporate’s #, I was hung up on. I love my Starbucks on Deerfield and Waukegan. They are like a fine-​oiled machine. Screw you, Deerbrook location. I will never go there again and I will make sure to tell everyone what jackholes you are.

So, maybe I should not add this as a lunch spot, but sometimes I just have time for a quick bite or drink and this hits the spot. I’m not a coffee drinker at all so I can’t comment on the strength.
Since my strawberries and crème frap is almost 500 calories, I’ll say this is enough for lunch. The service is great, the pastries are fresh… what more could you want. :-)!

This is the best Starbucks in the area, I try them all, and this has the most consistent service and drink quality. It also always clean and well managed. I make it my everyday morning stop.
It has a responsible amount of seating inside and out, although they could upgrade their chairs. The staff is friendly and attentive, and very knowledgeable about their products.
