Well let me say that this is my first Unilocal post. I couldn’t pass up giving this place a good review because of its uniqueness, quality, and principles. I visited here after the local townie bars down the street. Upon walking in, there are old time arcade games and quaint mismatched wooden furniture and a shelf full of books to read while you wait. The lady who took our order was extremely accommodating for 2AM. The sliders here are easily the best in DeKalb, original, and relatively cheap. We fed two meat eaters, a drunk, and a vegetarian for less then $ 30(not including the handful of change to keep our drunk friend busy at the Simpsons arcade game). The bacon pancakes are one of those menu items that are just begging to be tried(not sure how they make them, but they taste like a fluffy pound cake) and are a mere dollar a piece. There is no doubt in my mind that at 2AM, you would be a fool to go anywhere else for a late night snack.

Not your typical«soup kitchen» fare for lunch. You can tell there’s a chef with mad skills behind the menu. A bit confusing at first of how everything works or where to go, but easy to get the hang of. Essentially, think of it as a ‘serve yourself, all you can eat’ soup & salad bar. Salad bar has mixed field greens & romaine + a variety of toppings & dressings plus 3 soups. We had the wild mushroom & spicy chili with beef tips, both were super good. We also tried the baked kale chips, which I never had but were crazy delicious. Mocha is a combo of coffee & hot cocoa, which I’ll probably pass on next time. Just signed up to volunteer as well. Love the heart behind the concept & vision to serve those who need a bit of help, while respecting their dignity.

Feed em soup is a wonderful Dekalb gem. I’ve been a student at northern for awhile now and I’ve just discovered Feed Em thanks to my roommates They have tons of delicious finger foods and soups, and they have a «pay what you can» type service. Cheap food and it fills you up quickly. I highly recommend them and bring all my friends here. All the employees are wonderful, too.

Heard about the Feed em at Night thing a while ago, finally tried it tonight. Only tried the regular sliders, but man were they delicious! And so adorable! And I know sliders are adorable by nature, but these were extra adorable! Did I mention delicious? Mmmmmmm will definitely go back! :)
