Chris, Ashley, and everyone else who works here are wonderful people. By far my favorite sandwich of all time! #7 (turkey and provolone) mikes way, plus mustard and mayo. Consistently amazing food, staff and over all experience, I wish I could eat lunch here every day!

The product is good, I tried them again. My first experience was weird. I eat Jersey Mikes often and this location constantly prompts me for a tip. I thought it was just an aggressive employee. I went back recently for a to go sandwich… and again solicited for a tip. They were so concerned about the tip they forgot my sauce.
THE SANDWICH SHOULD ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH IN THE PRICE FOR LABOR. Its not table service! Stop bugging customers for a tip on the checkout screen its annoying! I wont be back. The cc paperwork will allow us to place a tip if we want to but checking out being asked for a tip seems unnecessary.

I love this place! Everyone is always smiling, friendly, and great at their job. Their sandwiches also set the bar for any franchises out there.

Shortly after posting my review, I received a thoughtful response from Jessica that provided a stark contrast to the negative experience I had at this Jersey Mike’s location a while back. Apparently, my experience even ended up being discussed with the employees and became a teachable moment. Thanks to Jessica for putting herself in the customer’s shoes, and for caring about improving the experience for every customer — not just the ones who buy 4 sandwiches at once. Next time I’m in the neighborhood and craving a sandwich, I’ll definitely stop by!

Matt & Natalie were awesome! The sandwich was delicious. Service was excellent. Shop is clean. TVs inside. Great location. Highly recommend!
I hadn’t been to Jersey Mike’s in a while. This was my first time here at this location. I walked in and immediately struck up a conversation with Matt, who recommended to me that I order the Club Supreme, regular size. They asked me how I wanted it and they suggested I get it «Mike’s way», which is the standard toppings that the shop recommends. Natalie prepared the perfect sandwich. Matt recommended that I add Chipotle mayo. The sandwich was incredible. I loved every bite. I basically devoured it. It was gone in a matter of minutes. I finished wishing there was more.
The real strength of this shop though is its service. The entire staff was incredibly courteous and polite. Their willingness to engage in conversation and make suggestions about their sandwich and toppings selection was a great addition to complement their exceptional sandwiches. Matt asked me later on after I had finished my sandwich if it was good, I gave him the thumbs up and he expressed his gratitude and delight in my satisfaction by offering a complimentary cookie. I went up to the counter to get it, and he offered a free cookie for my friend as well. We spoke about UCLA (my alma mater) for a few minutes, too.
Overall, fantastic sandwich shop with fantastic service and delicious food. I highly recommend!

So this place opened up close to home and somehow I’ve ended up here many nights on my way home from walking at Torrey Pines. For some reason I decided that it’s healthier than the taco shop. (not really depending on what you get, but it makes me feel better)
All of the times I’ve come in, the place has been empty. The staff is usually pretty friendly. I have decided that my favorite is the #13 with jalapenos (and not Mike’s style… it leaves is super soggy)
The price is higher than most sandwich shops, but the food has always been pretty solid. I’ll pay a little more the conveience of the place being so close to home.

This location is awesome. I came in today at about 4:30 pm and they really impressed me. I mentioned the time because I forgot to ask their names but the crew that was working at that time was super nice. They could tell I was exhausted from work plus it’s like 100 degrees outside so they did everything they could to make me feel better. I will visit this location everytime I’m in the area.
Oh yea and the chicken chipotle philly cheese steak was amazing. The guy hat made it for me made sure to make it to my liking.

I wish I could remember the girl that made my sandwich but she was such a pleasant person.

I recently moved back to Del Mar and what made me really happy was that there is now Jersey Mike’s here. Even better, Chris Richie former manager of the Mira Mesa location is now the manager in Del Mar. Brand new location with the old quality I’m used to at Jersey Mike’s. I grew up in Philly so my standards are high.
Tip! I have them hollow out the extra bread on the roll. I’m a big fan of the what’s inside the sub. Enjoy!

I like this one. My boys love Jersey Mikes so I come in to grab them subs. It’s clean and friendly. They do have tables but this one is not very big. They have their usual line of sandwich makers so it goes quickly even if it’s noon and the lunch line is long. Their meat is cut to order and they have so many topping choices. Besides lettuce and tomato, they have a red pepper relish, banana peppers, pickles and the rest. Oh, and if you are craving one of those old fashioned Giant pickles, they keep a jar on the countertop! A must remember when I want one of those.

I stopped by last Sunday evening after meeting a friend at the Del Mar Plaza. A sandwich sounded nice for dinner and I remembered receiving a coupon for this new Jersey Mike’s. Too bad I’m a dummy and left the coupon at home. Oh well.
The location isn’t huge but it’s comfortable and clean. There wasn’t much of a wait that day. I chatted with the family in front of me and quietly frowned when I noticed they had some rad coupons in their hands. The nice dad, probably feeling pity, smiled and said he had an expired coupon I could try to use. Thank you?
The nice guys behind the counter said they’d honor the buy one, get one coupon so I was so grateful for that. I ordered the turkey avo bacon sandwich (totally don’t know the # of the sandwich). I usually don’t see this sandwich on the menu board but it was listed on theirs. The Jersey guys (I wonder if they’re from the shore and know Snookie) made two perfect sandwiches for me that day. They didn’t skimp on the lettuce, onions, or fixins. I also appreciated how they put the avocado on the side for me (well, in a little container).
I personally like the white bread here and feels it stays pretty fresh (even when the sandwich is refrigerated for a day). Also, I much prefer the mayo (next to all the lettuce/​tomato/​etc) than the mayo packets by the side counter. The packet mayo tastes awful (totally the same at other locations) so make sure to ask for the other mayo if you’re a mayo freak like me.
TIP: sign up for their rewards program because you earn points fast. I recently got a free giant sub because I accumulated enough points
The Rancho Penasquitos location used to be my go-​to JMS but I will, without a doubt,. put this location as one of my top dog sandwich place for North County.
Great service, friendly customers, and delicious sandwiches = booyaahhhh

Pretty much an overpriced subway and the sandwiches were lacking in flavor. Only two types of bread offered (white or wheat) and it had a chewy consistency to it.
The people behind the counter are very friendly and I could tell they were doing their best to keep the process moving along.
3 Stars for the service.

I’m glad to know there is a Jersey Mike’s in Del Mar. This would be a great place to stop to pick up lunch before heading to the beach. There isn’t much seating inside, but there are tables outside. Service was quick and friendly.

The shopping center was just renovated, the parking is easy and I love the easy access to Starbucks after you eat too much at Jersey Mikes;)

5 stars because these guys are so nice! As far as the sub, better than other fast good sub’s for sure. Got the Italian– meat is sliced in front of me and they give lots of it. Line was out the door, outdoor and indoor seating, and I would come back.

I absolutely love Jersey Mike’s and it has been near the top of my favorite sub shops for the past few years. I was ecstatic when they opened this location, which is now the closest Jersey Mike’s to my house.
I always order the turkey sub with swiss cheese, instead of provolone, and get it Mike’s Way without the onions. Although I was skeptical at first about only having oil and vinegar and no mayo or mustard on my sub, I wouldn’t have it any other way here. The sandwich is delicious and the ingredients are always fresh.
Unfortunately, I have to take away a star because my guy was far less impressed with his veggie sub. As a vegetarian, he doesn’t have a lot of options at sandwich shops and Jersey Mike’s offers less veggie toppings than most. The veggie sandwich included a thin layer of green peppers with cheese and was then topped Mike’s Way with lettuce, tomato and onions. I thought the green peppers looked rather skimpy on the sandwich and he thought the whole thing lacked a lot. He went as far as to say that he prefers Subway, which as pretty much all sandwich fans know, is practically blasphemy.
I know I’ll be back but until Jersey Mike’s improves its veggie choices, I don’t think I’ll be able to convince my boyfriend to return.

Jersey Mike’s is awesome in pretty much all facets of the sandwich business and this location is no different. Nestled amongst the newly remodeled shopping center, this place is new and seems to be extremely busy. Honestly, this place really knows how to push through a lot of customers, quite promptly. The sandwiches here are absolutely delicious! My go to is either the #8 or the cali club, mike’s way, of course! Welcome to Del Mar Jersey Mikes!

My first time at this particular location but not my first time at Jersey Mike’s. I am so happy there is a Jersey Mike’s close to home!
They had just opened so the line was out the door, but the staff handled it perfectly. Even though it started outside, I had my sandwiches within minutes.
Jersey Mike’s cuts the meats when you order the sandwiches so it’s very fresh. And you can tell how fresh the rolls are by their softness. They have a pretty simple and straight forward menu of sandwiches that you can order by number. My favorite is the #7 Turkey but today I also got the #13, the Original Italian. I got my sandwiches cold but you can get them hot as well.
I order «Mike’s Way» which is onions, lettuce, tomato, vinegar and oil and spices. It makes it so easy to order. You can add other items as well.
For me, Jersey Mike’s is the best when you want a traditional submarine sandwich. So, if I were to compare, hands down they are better than: Subway, Which Wich, Quiznos, Togo’s and a handful of other fast sandwich places. There are deli’s that make incredible sandwiches but for a fast, quick and very fresh sandwich, I don’t think you can do better than Jersey Mike’s and this store is a welcome addition!

Came here on my lunch break during opening promo week, which by the way you cannot beat! $ 2 dollar donation for a nice hunka hunka burnin’ love (sandwich)…your way, or Mike’s. Yes, please!
Day 1: I didn’t get a sandwich due to an appointment I needed to keep and the 20 minute wait they had going. But,
Day 2: It was on and poppin’ and patience was a virtue I was ready and willing to exercise. Despite the crowded mayhem, the staff was really kind, really quick, and management made rounds and greeted customers in line to make sure everyone was cool. They were whipping up some beautiful looking sandwiches too! What whaaaat. Watch out Subway!
My sandwich tasted as yummy as a sandwich should, and I left a happy camper.
One staff member in particular was exceptionally stellar. Wish I would have gotten his name for this review. But, he was extremely amiable and asked about my day, my work, shared about his sister in New Hampshire and everything… all while slicing meat and lightening fast speed. Pretty sure that’s Mike’s Way too! This is a nice clean location folks and I’m happy they’re in Del Mar (next door to Vons). This shopping center needed a pick-​me-​up. The place is clean and will be spacious once the new restaurant rush dies down. They’re only a week in, but are doing great. Keep up the good work, guys!

Never been to a jersey mikes before. Pleasantly surprised. It’s super clean, friendly employees, and the sandwiches are super fresh and delicious. You have the option of getting your sandwich «mikes way» which is just pretty much everything on it. Glad I made the choice to get it this style. The oils added a pop of extra flavor. Opening day this place handled my order seamlessly and with big smiles! My kids loved loved their sandwiches and already asked me to come back tomorrow :)
