This is my new favorite place. The food was delectable. The staff definitely spoiled me. It was classy and upscale while being a lot of fun. The best night out that I’ve had in a long time. Fun new choices for me on the wine list too. Can’t wait to go back.

We went5 there last Friday. My dad hadn’t been there since it was El Calypso. The food was incredible. Dad’s salmon was sushi perfect and our crab pasta was awesome. The $ 6 Grey Goose martinis were fabulous and the ervice couldn’t have been better. We highly recommend this.

Food was awful, the stone crabs were tiny, the crab dip had zero crab and the salad was bland even after adding 2 types of dressing. Worst experience ever, would never eat at this restaurant. No fault to our bartender, she was great, and was not responsible for the horrible food.

Great restaurant. The food was great, as was the service. Prices also are reasonable. Great location in downtown Delray Beach with ample free parking. Located on the water with pretty waterfront dining. Two of us had some dietary restrictions and the chef went out of his way to accommodate our needs. This restaurant is a great find and we will be back

Went there for dinner. First time. Décor was great. Love the rustic vibe. They had a couple of cool seating areas by the bar inside. Tables w/heating lamps(if needed) outside. You can watch the sunset at this time of year. Staff was super friendly. Food came out quick. We both had the salmon entrée & it was delicious. A little pricey. I think they need to add some less expensive wine by the glass options.

We were looking for a place for Sunday Brunch with good food and great views for our last day on our vacation. Instead we found amazing food and fantastic views and wished we had found it sooner. The panko breaded French toast was outstanding, as was the chicken apple sausage. My cherry and champagne mimosa was delicious and my sister felt her Bloody Mary was one of the best she has ever had. Michaelie was a delightful server and although we started our brunch outdoors she was happy to help us move inside when we found it to be too chilly on the coldest Florida morning on record! Overall we wished we had found Hudson Waterway East sooner. Jude, the manager was very personable and we told him that we would plan to make it back on our next visit.

Great spot in Delray on the intracoastal. Marked improvement from the place that was here before. They did a nice job with the renovation, nice décor. The menu has a pretty good variety and they have a good beer list. Cocktails could be better. The food is very good, not great. All in all a nice addition to Delray.

It’s not long ago this was the new and exciting place to go for happy hour. Crowds were building, and it was lots of fun to visit. Well all that has dramatically changed. go now and you barely run into a couple of people at the bar early on a Friday. Now without any HH food offerings, and only serving up one insipid chardonnay at half price(a decent glass of sauvignon blanc costs near as much as the full bottle at the supermarket!!). Most all previous staff is gone, by salary cuts or just reading the handwriting on the wall and jumping ship. Heard rumors there might be a sale, but at the price mentioned hard to imagine lots of interest. Great location(although they should have done more to be noticed from AA)… what a waste.

Oy oy! Bottomless mimosas with a intercoastal view along with some yummy food? Hell to the yeah. I met up with one of the lovely Ginas of Unilocal and we had a beautiful Saturday brunch together. The place was quiet when we got there, but then it started getting packed before we left. I had the pomegranate and the traditional orange. Both flavors were delicious. I only had three glasses worth because I didn’t have a driver and I was still recovering from New Year’s Eve. Yea, two days later. Don’t judge ;P However, I enjoyed watching Gina fall in love more and more with each glass she consumed. You go girl! The panko crusted brioche French toast is amazing! The brioche was perfectly flavored with the panko crust and it was topped with a bourbon bananas foster along with a few raspberries and vanilla crème. The portion was huge and I finished almost every single bite of it. There was a good reason why I started out slow and save the rest after consuming some of those mimosas. Gina got the two eggs with potatoes and cilantro sour cream. I was too busy enjoying the French toast while she was devouring on her meal. I did sneak in a bite and it was quite good, but I liked my meal more ;) Our server was great. He came to our table numerous times to keep our glasses full and made sure that we enjoyed our food. The recommendations from him were spot on and it was an excellent time had by the both of us. The view and weather couldn’t have been any better. Some of the boats that passed by our table outside were quite a sight to see and there’s a dock for customers to park their boat on if they want to come in and get a drink or a bite to eat. If you’re in the downtown Delray area, plan to stop by and make your stomach full and heart happy!

Came for a yummy brunch with my friend Patty W. She picked the place as I’ve never been to hudson and she’s been for dinner and love it. She made a reservation at 11am on sat and we had the place all to ourselves. We sat outside on the covered back patio and had an amazing view of the intercoastal waterway. Anyone who knows me know I had to get the bottomless mimosas. I had mike drive me to hudson so I didn’t have to worry about driving after. They had two options pomegranate and traditional. Both were great and our server was awesome at making sure the glass was always full. To eat I had the two eggs any style with potatoes and cilantro sour cream. I got my eggs over easy and it came with Multigrain toast. It was delicious. Patty got the french toast which was amazing crispy and had bananas on it. I had a great brunch at hudson and will def go back for dinner or happy hr. BTW the chef was on hells kitchen– how cool is that?!?

After a fabulous meal last year I was excited to return to Hudson’s. The reservation was for Monday and I always fear Monday nights as many chefs are off, and this visit confirmed that fear. It was a rough night in the kitchen, not only for our table but those around us who were complaining to the manager about the slow service. Watching the lack of food leaving the kitchen, they were sending whatever, whenever at the beginning until our table sent back 80% of the orders and then the manager intervened and there was nothing for quite some time thereafter. The first half of the evening was a mess. Our party of five arrived a couple of minutes late(under 5 minutes), yet there was no table for five set. We waited while they rearranged a couple of tables, placed the plates and settings on the table and we were finally seated. We ordered a flatbread while we looked through the menu for our dinner selections. The menu describes the flatbread as roasted butternut squash, ricotta, sage, sunflower seeds and purple kale. It arrived and after one bite I knew that the Chef was not in the kitchen. There was no way this product met his standards. The squash was flavorless, there was no kale, the melted ricotta was already turning hard and there was zero seasoning. It was a far cry from the wonderful flatbread of the previous year. For my entrée I ordered the Hudson Burger medium-rare with bacon(there was another burger order at the table). My wife ordered the salad with shrimp, as did her mom. The Hudson burger contains the patty, caramelized onion marmalade, and fontina, served with lime & black pepper pommes frites. For an addition $ 1 you can add bacon, which I added. When they arrived I cut my burger in half and it was beyond well-done, the other burger was equally incinerated, and we returned both to the kitchen. My wife asked me to taste the shrimp and it was inedible, completely overwhelmed by salt. Our table of five sent back four entrées, two burgers and both shrimp dishes. When I asked the server if the chef was in the kitchen she replied, «Chef Paul is off tonight.» No surprise. Round 2 of both were properly prepared. The Manager approached to see how the re-fires were and said that the Chef cooked it himself, and she offered to buy us desserts. The meat was excellent, but the other ingredients were not so. The bacon was a touch salty, and the caramelized onion marmalade was from caramelized and further from marmalade, more quickly sautéed onions, crunchy and pungent and slapped on top of the burger. The kitchen added some iceberg lettuce and a scant slice of tomato that covered one-half of the burger. It was too bad the kitchen failed miserably on the first burger and the toppings on the second were diner-quality. Too bad as the meat deserved better. For dessert I ordered the apple crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This was also very disappointing. It was better described as a bowl of crumble with a few slices of apples tucked underneath. I ate the ice cream, fished for the apples slices and a little crumble and called it a night. The server was wonderful, she was pleasant throughout and handled the kitchen disasters with grace and charm. After I spoke with the manager about four out of five entrées being unacceptable, she professionally intervened, there was a hiatus and then the food started arriving at nearby tables. Major kudos to her, without her I think the entire restaurant would have packed up and left. Obviously it was an incredibly disappointing visit to Hudson’s, the wheels fell off the kitchen, and it required a manager intervention before the ship was righted to at least move the meal from inedible and unacceptable to serviceable.

3.5 stars. That being said, I take out-of-town people here all the time. Absolutely gorgeous views of the intracoastal for happy hour. I haven’t had a full meal here, but after trying food on the happy hour menu(focaccia bread, crab macaroni and cheese, flat bread and nachos), I can’t say that I’m willing to spend more money on a full dinner. Food is pretty mediocre. Cocktails are okay. They usually sound better on the menu than they taste.

Charming restaurant on the intracoastal waterway and Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach! Fabulous décor, delightful patio for dining on the water… Excellent waitstaff and really nice hostesses! Dinner was excellent and the key lime pie dessert bars were over the top delicious! A nice addition to the Delray food scene!

Hudson’s is in a great location with a beautiful patio on the intercoastal. It is casual upscale so a little on the pricey side, but a much needed addition in Delray. I like Deck 84’s location, but it is too laid back and sporty and loud most of the time. It is not somewhere to take a date, or your mom for brunch and Hudson’s fills that void. I wish they changed up their menu a little, but for the most part it is a plus. Amazingly, I saw a manatee baby and mama off their deck two feet away! I have never seen a manatee naturally before in all the 20 years I have lived in Florida. I would go back again in the spring just to see if the manatee return!

On September 27th we went to Hudson Waterway East and it was AMAZING. First of all the waitress,(forgot her name but wore glasses and had one tattoo on her wrist and one behind her ear), was AMAZING as was Jan, the manager. Hands down the best service I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time. First off, we had unlimited raspberry mimosas, $ 16 per unlimited deal, and we each had 3 – 5 refills. They were very sweet, but also very worth it. To start we had the salmon carpaccio. Didn’t come with enough bagel chips at first, but the waitress was great at bringing more. It was fresh and delicious. As an appetizer, we also had the mussels that had a perfectly garilcy and sweet sauce, I could eat either of these dishes all day everyday they were so good. For my main course I had the crab cake eggs benedict. Everyone at the table wanted to order it, but Hudson has such a creative/inventive menu we didn’t want to all order the same thing. This crab cake eggs Benedict couldn’t have been any better because it was unreal. My dad ordered the shrimp and grits and said the sauce was too good not to soak up with bread. My mom had the lobster club which was delicious as well. When I thought Hudson couldn’t get any better, there then came the dessert menu. All I have to say is two homemade chocolate chip cookies. Vanilla ice cream sandwiched between and chocolate malt ball milk. Yes. Just yes. I can’t wait to come back to downtown Delray Beach just to go back to this restaurant. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Hudson is probably everything you’re imagining — Dressy casual spot on the east bank of the intracoastal(directly across from Deck 84), with outdoor dining in the shade and really nice, expansive, open and light interior with a large bar. I picked this place for my husband for Father’s Day because of the positive reviews, the fact that we’d not been here yet(since it was Calypso’s) and because they were planning to offer a special Father’s Day brunch menu… or so I was told. When I called in May to make the reservations, the person answering the phone for Hudson told me that the Father’s Day brunch menu would be the same as the Mother’s Day brunch menu. Because I couldn’t read her mind and the Mother’s Day brunch menu was not posted online(it was after Mother’s Day), she giggled and gave me a quick run-down of some of the items. SOLD! I know what my husband likes, and based on her description, I knew he’d have plenty of choices. She then proceeded to take our reservations for Sunday, June 14. I corrected her and told her Father’s Day is June 21. After a bit of back and forth, she realized she’d been telling people the wrong date for Father’s Day. Regardless, we got it figured out and made the rezzie. Fast forward to our 11am reservation on June 21 — Though you’d expect it to be busy, it really wasn’t at all. The valet was bored because there was ample parking everywhere. No need to valet. We were greeted inside in a very warm manner and escorted to our outdoor hightop table overlooking the water. The view was perfect, and the seating was all shaded, so as long as there was a bit of a breeze, we never got yucky hot. Our server came over to make the intro, and handed us the menu, and guess what? No special Father’s Day menu! It was just the Sunday brunch menu! Thankfully, it was a good menu, but it was a bit disappointing to think we’d chosen a place with a special menu, when in fact, we chose a place we could visit any given Sunday and still receive the same choices. Bummer! My husband’s crabcakes were delish, and my flatbread was way overpriced. $ 17 for a SKIMPY flatbread was silly ridiculous. Sure, it was sizable, but I guess I expected it to be special and loaded with toppings. It just wasn’t. Delray is spendy, and even an expensive price would’ve been $ 14. In my opinion, Olio has the best flatbread in Delray Beach, and this didn’t even come close. Overall though, the kick-back yet dressy casual environment will bring us back in the door. A solid 4 stars with some room for improvement among those answering the phones, and a re-evaluation of some of the pricing could get me to bump to a 5.

I was excited to see a new waterfront restaurant in Delray. Every time I would go to Deck 84, I would look across and wonder what that space would be, and now it’s Hudson. For mother’s day they went all out and started serving Brunch. As soon as I read this I made a reservation for my Mom and I to do that Sunday. Valet parking for $ 3, right at the door. We walked in and were greeted immediately with a complimentary glass of champagne(I’m sure it was for the occasion and not done regularly but, still a nice touch) and everyone wishing my Mom a Happy Mother’s Day. As soon as we talked to the hostess and said I had a reservation, we were seated immediately and, lucky for us, it was outside where we got to enjoy the intercostal view, on a beautiful blue sky day. We didn’t have to wait long before our waitress was at our table ready to get our drink menu. They offer limited mimosas(several flavors) and Bloody Mary. I opted for the regular mimosas, my mom had the Coconut Pineapple one. It’s kind of like a Piña Colada but so much better because it’s not too sweet, and they are not shy when they pour the champagne. Extra points for that ;) It took us a little bit to decide on what to order… everything on the menu sounded absolutely delicious. I usually stick to eggs benedict at brunch, and they had crab cakes eggs benedict but, wanting to do something different I went with the Mojo Pork and Manchego Omelet. This was so flavorful! The pork hash was delicious and the omelet, had a spicy kick to it because of the chili pepper rims on it. Also, loved how you could taste the cheese but it was not overpowering. My mom ordered the Shrimps and Grits. This was definitely the winner. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed mine but this was amazing! Rock Shrimp, perfectly seasoned, the grits were creamy and very tasty. The cherry tomatoes compliment the dish very well, and gives the plate some color making this a beautiful dish. Also on the brunch menu they had mussels(which I might get next time I’m there), Buttermilk Pancakes, Panko crusted French Toast(with bourbon bananas foster — tempting), Skirt Steak and eggs, Sandwiches(including French Dip, and a Maine Lobster Club), and salads. For dessert, my Mom could not decide which one she wanted so I ordered the two she liked most: Flourless Chocolate Cake, and the Key Lime Bars. The Flourless Chocolate cake is for chocolate lovers. Very rich, almost mousse like. Soft, and very creamy, served on top of a caramel sauce with whip cream flowerets, pistachio crumbs, and strawberry ice cream. The ice cream is perfect for this dessert. The Key Lime bars were great! I’m not a fan of key lime as I usually find it too sweet but, it wasn’t the case with these. The size is perfect, they come with a little bit of raspberry sauce drizzled on them, some fresh raspberries and blueberries. Service was excellent, from beginning to end. They even asked if we wanted more mimosas after I had asked for the check. Every staff member smiled, were very friendly and professional at all times. My Mom had a wonderful time, she left smiling, very happy to have tried a new place, and immediately told my siblings of what a great place I had taken her to. Thank you for making me look good but, most of all for helping me give my Mom a great Mother’s Day.
