Went there for lunch with a friend last week. The place was very busy, inside and out, there being a few tables on the walk outside the rather drab shopping plaza. Inside, was decent décor, not fabulous, but nice and looked clean. Music was playing. But the food! Excellent would describe what we had. The spanakopita that I ordered came with a very nice small Greek salad. It was just delicious, moist, lemony, and the dough almost tasted like the top was brushed with honey, though the waitress said it wasn’t. My friend had the chicken kabob served in a wrap. We split a piece of baklava that was outrageous. I am looking forward to the next visit and don’t know if I can choose something else because I want to order the same thing again! BTW, the waitress and other servers were very friendly.

Best Greek food in Boynton-Delray-Boca area(maybe even further). Authentic great food. The complimentary hummus is delicious. Huge portions. Desserts are super-yummy. Attentive staff. Great prices! Greek music from the speakers. This is a taverna, don’t expect to be surrounded by luxury. Enjoy the food and music!

I came here with my mother after a long morning at the hospital nearby. We both ended up ordering the same meal — the falafel pita wrap. It came with a large serving of french fries on the side. The food only took about 10 minutes or so to get back to us. The service was great, and the guy was very friendly. When it came to the food, I was happy there was a vegetarian option. This always makes things simple because I don’t have to ask to alter anything. I found the food to be good. My mom didn’t like it too much because the falafel is more mushy than a fried ball. I think it’s all about preference though. Overall, I thought the food was good and service was on point. It was a simple, quick meal after a strenuous morning.

My waitress was Lucy. Very sweet and very nice. Food was equally as good. Would definitely recommend. Don’t let the strip mall location fool you. The food is authentic. If your not close by, it’s worth the drive over.

Past disappointed. They’ve cut back on the amount of chicken in their Souvlaki Wrap to under an ounce. Not good. Friends on Facebook thinks I am horrible to give this a poor review. They think I should have complained to the owner. Who do you think decides on portions? Also, it was cash only… I had to use the ATM in the nail place next door. That adds about $ 5 to the price of the meal.

After reading rave reviews we decided to give it a try. NOISY, poor service, etc. Ordered two gyro plates with Greek salad, dressing on the side, one with rice and one with lemon potatoes(instead of the fries and we were told those potatoes were extra and we said OK)) Also said it came with tzaiki. Dressing was on side for only one and fries came instead of lemon potatoes. No tzaiki. The meat was supposed to be lamb and beef. Only dried out beef appeared. Finally Some dressing came after we used the oil and vinegar on the table. Then at the end of the meal the tzaziki came. And you guessed it – we were charged for lemon potatoes. Waitress said she was new. Also lo and behold computer was out so cash only. The most hectic unrelaxed dinner in a long time!!!

What a fantastic find! Dimitrias was an amazing server and the food was top notch. Although I do not often eat Greek food because I am vegan, Zorba”s was highly accommodating. The place is clean and has a very nice atmosphere. Very much looking forward to returning to this excellent restaurant.

Just tried this place for the first time. It was such a great experience. The food was superb and the staff was super happy and friendly. I guess that’s easy to do when you know you’re serving food everyone loves. The hummus and pita started off delicious. The appetizers! The delicious melted cheese and the octopus was so so tender it was like a quick visit to Europe. The lamb chops and the lamb shank was perfection. The grape leaves are huge and filled with meat. Homemade not from a can. The hot backlava was amazing. I’ve never had this served hot and now I must say that I feel as though it should always be served hot. Great dining experience and a staff that worked very well as part of an amazing team. Definitely a must try. In Delray but not on the strip. Plenty of parking and no traffic. Outside seating available and very busy but they seated us rather quickly. Outside had a bit of a wait which is great for a Thursday night and they are busy which means food is fresh. It is a definite must try and yes I highly recommend.

By far this is the best Greek restaurant in palm beach county. Angie my waitress was spot on with the service, and needless to say my lamb shanks were the best. The meat just fell off the bone. And as if it wasn’t enough, I even got a complimentary dessert Baklava drenched in honey which melted in your mouth. This place is a keeper and I look forward to coming back soon.

Met #RITALUM here the other DAY, Hip Hop HORRAY… I RHYME my reviews… 8 of us planning RITSOUTHFLORIDAEVENTS for the year… Look for 2016RIT S FLACHAPTER events… BTW Everyone loved their GREEK entrees… One of the RIT alum even knew the owner a Greek Culinary chef… THUMBSUP! Other past visits: Wow! How did 70 of you beat me here? It’s so close to me. It’s sooooo good!!! Two gyro platters and lots of yummy leftovers! Very very generous portions! Staff to customer ratio was on the high side lots of staff. Very friendly and fresh everything all the way! Opa!!! Five star Greek west DELRAY and we’ll be back!!! I have to include one more thing… The waiter made a fresh pot of decaf. I think I went to a different restaurant than some of the other reviews. I’m thrilled. Thanx Zorba! My wife left her hat and one of their very friendly staff ran it out to the middle of the parking lot! More thumbs up and more Opas!!! Thank you! I think some restaurants on Atlantic Ave need to take notes from this cooool restaurant find.

Good Greek food is hard to find. Zorba’s combines first-rate dishes with high quality service at reasonable prices. Small, but with some sheltered outdoor tables, tucked away opposite BocaRay mall, pleasantly noisy like a Greek taverna should be. Staff seems happy even when busy. Dinners delivered quickly and HOT. Soups are much above average. Several excellent vegetarian items. Taramosalata is very good, as is the eggplant salad. Octopus appetizer probably the best I’ve had anywhere. Skordalia needs more garlic and a larger amount to be authentic to my taste. Desserts somewhat variable, but always better than average, and often superb — the galactoburico is a favorite. Don’t forget the Greek coffee for a final taste of Greece.

Best Greek food this side of NYC! I come here every time I’m in Delray Beach. The food is always fresh, and the service is great. Always a solid meal. With loud shouts from the kitchen, the owner Bob and a line of chefs make magic and produce official Greek fare. A food fairy tale. Two words to some this spot up: Consistent and Superb.

Don’t be too surprised if you hear someone speaking Greek here, because it’s very likely most of the staff are Greek. An indication also that the food you’re being served is authentic. And, it so happens, delicious. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Service from the kitchen is quick/above average. The place can get crowded but even then the kitchen performs well. Plenty of choices, from chicken to pork to squid, as well as gyro or lamb. Their hummus is great. Save room for dessert, either the galaktobouriko(custard pie) or the admittedly non-authentic baklava cheesecake(cheesecake with authentic tasting baklava on top; less cream-cheesey tasting than most American cheesecakes, so I recommend it).

This is so far the best Greek restaurant I been to in the Delray area. They give you a free glass of wine with some of their dinner . Service is great. Iam still looking for a veggie moussaka

Stopped by for a second visit. We were happy to see that the service was a bit more robust this time around. We were promptly greeted by a friendly waiter, then ordered and had drinks served within a few minutes. The food was great this time too. Our table got a souvlaki, gyro, Greek salad, fries, tzatziki, and orzo in tomato sauce… and all were delicious, every bite. The kefthedes were a huge disappointment however. There was barely any meat in them! It was like we were eating spongy, fried bread crumb balls. Pretty revolting. That aside though, we were quite pleased with the meal and for just over $ 8 a head you really can’t go wrong. Recommended!

Let me start by saying my mom and I went here two nights in a row. My grandpa was in the hospital, we had been wanting Greek food, and it was a well regarded restaurant that was also only two minutes away! THEFOOD: The first night we went(5⁄16) the food was definitely subpar. To start the waiter brought out hummus and pita which was delicious. However, our octopus appetizer was a little too soft. I would have preferred for it to be a little more grilled. However, I still put it over the Greek salad that came with both my moms, and my, main courses. She ordered the leg of lamb which she did not like. My chicken breast and orzo was OK at best. On top of it all, the waiter forgot to bring our complimentary baklava. We saw the place had potential and fun live music so we decided to give it a try tonight(5÷17÷15). We did not have any appetizer besides the complimentary pita and hummus. I ordered the chicken gyro pita wrap. But, it was not traditional chicken gyro meat. Rather, it was just chunks of grilled chicken. My moms lamb gyro was BOMB though. I ended up finishing it for her. The waiter ended up apologizing for forgetting the baklava the night before and brought us some sort of custard cake with the same flaky baklava top. I would say the restaurant is good– but you have to know what to order.

Service and food were excellent. Nice plate of Hummus and pita to start as soon as we sat down. Side salad was a nice Greek salad(lettuce, tomato, feta, olives). We all had the lamb chops seasoned and cooked exactly the way we ordered. Service was fast with just the right amount of attention.

I had dinner here on a Saturday night when the place was packed and there was tons of overflow outdoor seating and live music(actually one Greek dude that was pretty good) while plates were occasionally smashed and everyone yells«Opa!» I started with the lemon soup and it was very good and really hit the spot. They also served a large plate of pizza shaped pita bread with hummus. I ordered a basic Gyro and it was huge and tasty. Desert was traditional baklava that was also very good. The food and ambiance were great, the prices were reasonable and simply put, this is a FUN place to have dinner.

Nine months ago I reviewed Zorba’s and gave them five stars. Unfortunately today I am updating my review to only one star. And that is because zero stars is not an option. They always had amazing food, great service and nice sized portions. I really enjoyed the family atmosphere and if we dined in or got take out everything was always great. They also deliver to the local area and we took advantage of that especially on rainy nights. Things started going down hill about three months ago. The portions became smaller, our orders would be messed up and they constantly forgot items when they delivered to us. Even though we were annoyed at all the mistakes, we still continued to order. The food was still good and it was very convenient. This past Friday night was the last time we will ever order from them again. My friend actually found a large piece of glass(see picture) in his soup. It was delivered as usual by their normal delivery person so I do not think it was intentional. I really think it was pure negligence on their part. My friend called the restaurant to talk to one of the owners. Not to really complain but to make sure they dumped that pot of soup. He was concerned someone else would swallow glass and get hurt. I am truly disappointed in ownership. After several calls they decided to call us back. The next day! Seriously that is just disgusting behavior from the ownership at Zorba’s. Unfortunately when they called my friend was unavailable to take the call. He attempted a few more calls but did not get another call back. This is a horrible way to run a business. Do they just not care? This is glass we are talking about. People can get hurt. What are they thinking? Please be very careful if you eat there. I would not recommend Zorba’s to anyone. Why take a chance? It’s just not worth it.
