Friendly staff and comfortable environment! Steak & cheese is delicious especially fried onions. Large cheese pizza is delicious and reminds me of a New York style pizza. Little pricey!

Absolutely amazing! We’ve had nothing but great service and fantastic food.
The pizza is the best you will ever eat. Fresh ingredients & love make it the best. Caprese pizza is to die for; buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, tomato and balsamic vinegar. Last week I had a grilled chicken, spinach and artichoke pizza ** It ruined me for all other pizza. This afternoon, chicken, bacon & ranch. .. you will never look at another the same.

We went out of our way because of the four stars on Unilocal.We ordered the large Sal’s pizza. Very sparse on the pepperoni and sausage. I felt lucky to get one pepperoni slice on each piece. Our local Ledo’s is much better than this place. I’m giving it one star for the crunch on the tasteless dough. The sauce wasn’t even good. I think the people who gave this place four stars are related to the owner.

good pizza, a bit pricy IMO — $ 29 for lunch for two (2 slices each and a soda) but good.

Had a super wonderful and delicious pizza dinner at this new eating establishment. The garlic knot appetizers were really very good as well as the house salads! the wait time was very brief and the staff and management were very friendly and helpful as they took our orders. Even though The dining room was microscopic and small, it is clean and well organized and decorated. Would not mind going here again By The Way.

No complaints. Stopped here with two children, they were pleased with their food. I would say it was reasonably priced.

Hidden gem. One of the best pies I’ve ever had and I’ve had a ton of ny style pizza. They use the best mozzarella that only the top places back home use and an incredible homemade sauce. Service was excellent too. Looks like they are remodeling inside but that didn’t bother me.

Walk in and noticed Sal was touching everything (face, forehead, kids electronic game, tickets, boxes) while making pizzas without washing hands! No thanks, I will skip the germs.

There were six of us, first timers all, ordering six different menu items. The place was busy at a Friday afternoon. Linda our waitress was superb, orders came reasonably quick and was delicious. My linguini with white clam sauce was the best I’ve had in years. The only glitch was the dining area entrance which made one wonder if you were supposed to order at the counter or be seated first.

How this earned five stars is beyond me. Food took an hour to arrive and other than the pizza, was not very good. Then they automatically included an 18 percent tip in the bill. My first and last visit here.

Found thos place on the way home from the beach. I was a little skeptical since nothings really in the area, but we were starving and looking for something other than fast food. My what a pleasant surprise! Food was great and service was friendly. Can’t wait till our next trip to the beach, this place is on the list for must stops on the way home. Just wish it was closer so we didn’t have to wait for a beach trip.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. We almost drove past because the shopping plaza is pretty run down. But, the inside of the restaurant is a different story. Very well kept and updated. The food was delicious and serving staff was friendly with good product knowledge. We would visit all of the time if we weren’t just passing through.

Disclaimer: I’ve never dined in the restaurant, only carried out. Sal’s has a great menu, but the pizza is the real highlight. Be sure to grab a carryout menu and take note of their daily specials. Tuesday offers a large cheese pizza for only $ 7.99 and Thursday gets a large cheese pizza with wings for only $ 12.99. And it’s definitely worth every penny. So you get great food for a great price, and with the lack of selection in Denton it’s even better.
They’ve also got a friendly staff and management from my experience. One of the last times a friend and I ordered, we got a cheesesteak, fries, and an order of chicken tenders. For whatever reason (I’m pretty sure our phone connection wasn’t the best) when we got there our cheesesteak wasn’t up and the employee working the register said they hadn’t heard us order a cheesesteak. Luckily, the man who I believe is the owner/​manager was standing by and said he’d throw together a cheesesteak for us free of charge and apologized profusely for the mix up.
Sal’s Pizza & Pasta is definitely as good as it gets for Denton.

Quick service, and good pies. The crust is a bit thicker than true NY Style and no cornmeal, but good quality, anyway.

So glad I found this place while traveling for work, thanks Unilocal!…it was this or a 2-​star rated subway across the parking lot (which I was originally looking for until I read the one review).
Pizza by the slice is about 3.50 and a slice is nearly ¼ of one pizza. (4 pizzas out and ready to go today) and they offered to heat it up for me.
I just submitted a picture of my slice, the one with green neon lights reflection on a clean black table.
One guy (looks Italian) in the kitchen is wearing an apron which say Luigi’s.
Bookmark this place, it is definitely worth checking out. :p

Okay pizza joint. I only had one experience here so I will go easy til my next experience.
First off, the restaurant smelled like B-​O. Not sure if it was the onions or what but for goodness sakes it smelled almost like an Amish Man after 10 hours in the fields.
Prices seem a bit high for the area. Prices are that high in Philly, I wasn’t expecting that from Denton.
Onion rings were very good, not too greasy.
However the Margarita pizza we ordered was watery… that is right, about 7 ozs of liquid floating on top of our pie. I guess it was from the fresh mozzarella, but Sal was aware of it because he asked me to hold the pizza VERY LEVEL. I am assuming he didn’t want me to pour the hot liquid down out of the box and onto my lap.
Once we got the pie home, used 38 paper towels to get the water off the top, it did have a really nice flavor. I was impressed, maybe because of my low expectations from the liquid issue.
Next time I am going to get the «standard» pizza and give that ago.

Both the pizza and the pasta are excellent. The prices are reasonable and the service friendly. Sal’s is semi self serve, you order at the counter and they serve you at the table. Located in a shopping center along Rte 404 just past Denton (on the southeast side) in route toward the beach. A great find.

It’s the real deal. New York pizza in Denton. You won’t be disappointed! Friendly service, reseaonable prices– I wish they would deliver!

Wonderful! Always friendly, consistent, portion sizes are HUGE, always fresh-​creative menu… very economical. LOVE the music, atmosphere and décor (The lights ARE a little low, so watch your head!)…Sal and his family are the best! Very accomodating. Every experience has been wonderful, we go there at least once a week:) BEST FOOD, SELECTION and pricing in Denton! @KAREN — you can’t have them!:)

On the way home from Bethany Beach and at a friend’s recommendation, stopped by this non-​descript store front pizza and pasta restaurant. The pizza was the best that I have had since leaving NYC. As this was our first time, we only had the opportunity to order the plain cheese and sausage pizza and both were excellent. The sauce was just right. Not that sweet gloppy thing that they call sauce at the Domino’s pizza next door. The crust was crisp and chewy. Sal… please leave Denton and come to Capitol Hill in DC.
