This is the best doctor in the DFW Metroplex. He takes his time with his patients, doesn’t over prescribe medications and truly cares for each and every individual! Such a relief from the doctors that are ‘owned’ by the hospitals.

Great if you don’t mind being overcharged for a routine medical exam. My husband went for an annual physical that was supposed to be 100% covered, and they charged him $ 900. He was completely healthy, so there were no extraordinary tests or findings. I think they thought they could bully us into paying the bill. They were wrong. FINDANOTHERDOCTOR!

Just retired from the military and was in need of a private physician who accepted TRICARE insurance. After one visit, I’m very happy I found Dr. Thompson. He took the time to listen and asked all the right questions. I greatly appreciate the fact that he was not overly zealous to write out a prescription, but instead helped me sort through some alternative treatments. Also, his staff tested my cholesterol and performed an EKG in-office. Speaking of his staff, the receptionist, Aubrey(sp?) was very courteous and proactive. She sent me the ‘new patient’ paperwork in advance so I didn’t have to wait around in the reception area filling out forms. The appointment was very timely too. I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment for the following Tuesday. Additionally, I only waited in reception for 5 minutes before my appointment began.

Resisted going to the doctor for 4 years but promised my wife I would get the checkup at 50. So happy to say that Dr Thompson has a personality and listens to what you have to say. Doesn’t have a trigger finger on the script pad and offers suggestions to avoid the medicate and forget route. He conducted some in house blood tests and went over them right away along with a heart test. Yes, there are some blood work that isn’t same day but they are quick. Worth the drive to go to him. UPDATE: I thoroughly recommend Dr. Thompson as a doctor however the staff is a deal breaker. Here is what happened: went to the Dr. and he gave me a sample and a prescription. I went to get the script filled and the pharmacy said I needed prior approval so I waited for the insurance company to approve. The insurance company said I needed a specific test and so I went to have the test done and the results were sent in to the insurance company and they then denied it because they were skewed by the fact that I was on the medication. So, I then discontinued the medication for a week and went back and had the test done a second time(at my cost) and then it was up to the dr’s office to fax in the paperwork. I called the insurance company to check on the status and they never received the second results so I called the dr’s office to have them refax it. Today I called the dr’s office to check to see it had been done and the staff indicated that she called and left a message for the insurance company. I feel that I have had to chase down the information and try to help them do their job and now they don’t give a crap about following up and doing things right. Healthcare is a whip, I guess the only dr I will see is the one in the ER if needed.
