Jakes has the best chicken wings in the known universe. Almost five stars. Just for the wings. I can’t figure out how they do it and I am a classically trained chef. The crunch is to die for. Just fantastic. They are also very nice and accommodating to my scooter crew.

Great spot for a weekday drink, wing Wednesday’s or catching your game. Friendly staff and with good service. Great big open patio.

The drink specials are great with pretty decent happy hour specials and eats. The food wasn’t the greatest, there are far more better burger joints around town. I think this place is a bit pricey for the quality of food you get. The atmosphere is somewhat rowdy on game days (to be expected at a sports bar) and completely dead if not. Their patio is fantastic; equipped with a fire pit and plenty of seating. The overall service during their busy times is terrible; they had 1 server for an entire private event room.

Great food and fun atmosphere. Our order took a while to come out but when it arrived everything was delicious!

Third visit for a Bronco game. Great time, great service and good food. My husband loves the burgers, I like the brunch egg sandwich. Special PBR’s for Bronco touchdowns! Great sports bar!

Thank you for the rapid response Benny. Much appreciated. I have been in the F&B industry for many years and understand all the complicated & working parts of a kitchen, but that really was not the issue on my last 3 visits. Not giving up yet. The food is delicious and knowing that Jakes is involved in community projects, concerned about our neighborhood & hosts special events along with fundraisers sets your establishment apart from others.

Best sports bar in the RiNo area. Great staff! Always treat us good for the Bronco Games! Great chicken wings!

What a great atmosphere for Sunday football. There were fans of just about every team. We were greeted within a few minutes of sitting down. We ordered drinks, which were brought immediately.
We ordered 12 boneless, parmensam garlic and mild, and 12 insane traditional. We also opted for a basket of sweet potato tater tots.
We weren’t really paying attention, but after about 30 minutes we noticed our food hadn’t arrived yet. We were wondering where it was when it showed up about 10 minutes later. Our food was hot and smelled delicious.
The ‘insane’ wings were extremely good! They were large and had a great tasting battered coating. They weren’t super spicy, but hit the spot. The parmesan garlic and mild were just as good. I can’t believe they were so good! Can’t forget the tots, they were awesome as well.
Halfway through our wings the manager came out (at least we think he was the manager). He apologized for the long wait and comped one of our orders of wings. We were very surprised because we didn’t say anything to our server. He was very nice an apologetic. We laughed at our receipt because the comp line said «Kitchen f-​up».
Here’s the deal, they are getting five stars for the following: Our server was very attentive and kept our drinks full. The wings were the best I have had in Denver so far. (I always try the wings wherever we go) The atmosphere was awesome, not too loud but not dead. All of the servers, bartenders, and manager were extremely nice and professional.
Keep up the good work! Also, the wings rock!

I am really disappointed in our last visit which was Saturday 10/​17/​2015.
This place has renovated and a fresh coat of paint and reupholstered booths on the inside. That is nice.
The food doesn’t seem as good as it used to be. We took our three kids there to have dinner (which they are very well behaved out at restaurants). Between us all we got a mac and cheese kids meals with veggies, cheese pizza, salad, side of fries, Ruben, and a burger. Waitress asked me which side I wanted for my burger I ordered the tater tots. AND appetizer of nachos. 2 teas, 1 milk, l kids lemonade, 1 club soda.
She brings us out drinks… WELL all except the milk. WHICH we had to ask her to bring again after we got our app. She brought no plates with the ap, no napkins. So then we also ask for napkins. She brings napkins… Still no plates… still no milk. Then she brings the milk… still no plates. By this time we use the napkins as plates. we are finishes with out ap.
We got our order and had a huge side of tater tots and fries. We ordered the fried but not the additional side of tots. I specifically asked her if the burger still came with the tots and she said yes, but she decided to bring me a huge side instead. AND the burger I ordered had fries. OK… we all have our food except my son. We are nearly done with our meal and she refills our drinks and we ask her about my sons meal. At this point she leaves brings us our refills and I take a drink of my Club Soda except its now a watered down version of it. I’m assuming she refiled it with water. Finally my son gets his meal… at this point he’s had some of the burger, fries, and pizza. She has a side of fries instead of veggies for his meal. WHAT??? I mean I can understand 1 – 2 mistakes but this was all night. It was very disappointing.

6. additional side of tots (which we were charged for. had to ask her to take it off)

That’s one too many mistakes in my book. We used to frequent this place a lot because they treated our kids well. They were overlooked and so was our table. The thing that upset me the most was that I had to watch my son looks out for the waitress to see if his food was coming and we had to feed his some of ours. I felt so bad for him) I was not happy with the outcome of it all. Totally not coming back. There are so many other great places around that we can chose from… RiNo has some pretty stellar places this is not one of them.

Poor service. Been there multiple times and yet to enjoy my meal. Good atmosphere but need to put some effort into everything else.

I tried the pickle chips to go off the $ 4 Munchies menu. (Various american bar food items range from $ 2 to an $ 8 burger.) The pickle chips were probably some of the best I have tried with a light, crisp breading and not overly greasy and accompanied by ranch and spicy pepper dipping sauces. Based on this alone, they would have earned a 3+ for food, but they charged a $ 1.00 To Go up charge (25% on this $ 4 item) without disclosing it before ringing it up. I do not appreciate restaurants charging a surcharge for takeout. I might give them another chance for late night dine in since their kitchen is open until around 1:30 p.m., and likely change my rating to 3 stars if they stopped over charging their customers a takeout surcharge.

This place would be the perfect sports bar… except…the service is so so slow and often very wrong. They are are always always short handed and I have literally had to stand up and wave my hands to get attention from a server. And every time, she says, «sorry it’s busier than we expected today.» and I’m like, «really, cause there’s a Broncos game today and this is what you should have expected seeing as you are a sports bar in Denver.» I’ve also received the wrong plate twice only for it to sit there for 10 minutes while I flagged down the waitress to tell her that it’s the wrong plate. Then of course, I have to wait another 20 minutes for my real order to arrive. What a waste of money for Jake’s. Seems like a bad business policy.
That being said, the food is very good, the variety offered is good, the space and the TV location is good, they have a great patio, and ample parking.

I’ve been coming here for years and always enjoyed it here. They recently had a remodel and it looks great, nice ambiance. However, I am completely thrown off by the service. In previous years, I’ve always had great service until today. I came in on a Monday afternoon for lunch and sat at the bar. I waited, and waited, and waited. It took about ten minutes for this older lady at the bar to even come to me and take my order. At this point, I didn’t even bother ordering lunch, so I just got a beer. This lady was rude and definitely showed it. The tone of voice and her facial expressions made me really uncomfortable. Upon leaving, I left her what I thought was a generous tip for the shitty service she provided. She looked at it and scoffed at me. So I gave her a cheesy grin and walked out. I don’t think I will be back until they hire some more professional employees.

Certainly not the worst place i’ve ever been, but very far from the best.
Ordered chili cheese fries and mild wings. Fries were, meh. Wings were just okay, nothing that i would come back for.
Honestly, i hate reviewing a place for their service. But it was just terrible here. Friend asked for extra crispy wings, didn’t get it. He also asked for a side of celery and carrots, got it when he was almost done. Had to repeatedly ask for water, and the waitstaff was just MIA the entire time. And all that on a slow Thursday night.

Since moving to the area, I have been to Jakes almost every weekend for Brunch or Lunch with my roommates. We absolutely love the food there and especially the FRIED PICKLES! I am a huge IPA fan and the fact they always have Titan on draft for $ 3.50 just warms my heart. I’ve spent many great afternoons on the deck sitting in the sunshine enjoying the food and the great service. I’ll definitely be back here many more times!

Wings are great. Not a huge Wing fan but you can find me here frequently on wing Wednesday. Fresh never frozen huge meaty wings. I hate wasting my time on skin and bone winds. You won’t find those here! Try the lemon pepper or inferno! They make their soup homemade every day I haven’t been disappointed.

Jake’s. Oh where do I start…
I used to frequent Jake’s almost every week, sometimes several times a week simply because the location was convenient. They also have free Wi-​Fi, also convenient.
Well, that’s pretty much where it ends.
The menu is really mediocre — a lot of the food is hit or miss depending on when you go in. I used to play it safe and get tater tots and mashed potatoes (both are sides) but they removed those from their menu.
But god, the service here is atrocious. It always has been. It takes forever for your order to get placed and if you need another drink, your server is nowhere to be found. And then it takes forever to get what you ordered. In this time, no one ever comes to update you on when your food is coming. Food is then often incorrect, sides or sauces are sometimes forgotten. In the 1+ that I’ve gone here, the servers seem to turnover quickly but NONE have been punctual or attentive in any way.
This place seems to be busy during sports seasons with the number of TVs but the food and service aren’t its draw in the slightest.

Went here for brunch today with a group and the food was good. However, the service was not. It was the second time I’ve been there and the service was sub par then as well. They take forever to take your order and forget about getting a refill on your water. I finished mine and my boyfriend’s and then ended up asking another server for water since ours has disappeared.
More on her disappearance. When she (I’m pretty sure her name was Genny) brought us the check my boyfriend showed her the 15% off coupon from Unilocal for checking in. She said OK and walked off. We thought she was going to come back with a new check, but she never did. Our friends asked about the bill when she was passing by and she quickly said it was everyone’s food except what the two of us ordered. However, she never brought us another separate bill or took 15% off anything. We also never really saw her again. She would stop by the other end of the table to fill someone else’s glass but never came over to us or even made eye contact with us (hence never being able to even ask for more water let alone about our check again). She spent the rest of the time mostly helping people on the patio.
I’m not really sure why she never did anything about our bill or why she never came over to talk to us about it, but my friends had an idea. They all work at a restaurant together and said it is common for servers to have people pay with cash and then have their manager give the discount before closing out the bill. Then the server takes the extra money that was meant to be the discount. Not sure if that’s what she did, but her behavior was strange and a bit sketchy. Will definitely ask for a different server if I go back there.

Umm, who would want to be here. I was trying to meet my friends, and no wonder nobody showed up! I guess it was supposed to be BINGO nite, no BINGO!!! I think I accidently crashed the lamest company party ever!
The patio was not efficiently winterized and that is what I depend on with my friends, unfortunately most of them are smokers.
I also saw a baby! After 9 pm at a place with «spirits» in the name I just don’t expect or want to see a baby… Sorry Jake!

Came here for a Unilocal event recently and it seems like a fun atmosphere, although the location is a bit odd. There’s nothing around it.
Seems like this place has really good happy hour and specials during Broncos games. I’d like to come back and try some of their wings/​burgers.
We ordered the chicken lettuce wraps which were really really good and the bacon carmelized green beans. I’m not sure what was with the green beans, they had no flavor and this mix did not go well.
Service was nice. I’m sure I’ll give this place another try soon.
