Not only did I leave marks Lloyd’s furs feeling stereotyped. I felt prejudiced and very belittled. Word of advice. When someone walks into your store looking to spend $ 50,000.00 plus on a fur, you should treat them with maybe a slight amount of respect. Did my copious amounts of plastic surgery, diamond and sapphire rings, new Christian Louboutin shoes, Chanel bag and fox fur coat not hint to you that I was interested in spending money!!! Or does that scream penniless shoplifter??? I walked into the shop and was having a little look around. The first woman who approached me asked in a harsh tone if there was«Anything» she could help me with, as if I wasn’t equipped to be shopping there. I said not right now I’m simply looking around at the moment. She preceded to start slowly circling me as if I was going to do something, at this point I was already offended. But i love fur so I continued to look around. I became extremely nervous when I heard her speaking harshly about me to one of her coworkers behind my back, commenting on how she had to keep an eye on me and couldn’t return to work until I left. ((Mind you I had been in the shop for only about ten minutes total at this time… I wasn’t loitering… I hadn’t even had a chance to look around.)) At this point almost in tears I grabbed my phone from my purse as any person does nowadays and proceeded to start texting someone. All the while still interested in the pieces on display despite feeling completely ostracized. This is when it got really bad. A second woman(the one the first one had just been talking to) came directly in between me and a display and said in a rather disgusting hurtful tone that EVERYTHINGINTHEGALLERYISVIEWABLEONLINEANDPHOTOGRAPHYOFMERCHANDISEWASSTRICTLYPROHIBITED. (Mind you five minutes previously two clients say discussing two pieces and took pictures of them to their sister) At this point I was BEYOND done. Over it. Tears welling in my eyes, face beet red… I said thank you but I’m NOTTAKINGPICTURES, ANDIF I WANTTO I WILL. I left in a hurry as tears began streaming down my face, harshly commenting on the downright abusive service I had received. Never have I ever been treated callously by a high end establishment, and never have I ever been profiled the second I walked in the door. I highly recommend people steer clear of Marks lloyds. They have an outstandingly beautiful collection(from what little I was able to see). But the customer service was unbelievably abusive and discriminatory.

In today’s world, the old-time luxury of a finding a fine furrier is a true wonder. ML Furs was a sensational find! I found this magnificent emporium online while searching for a special fur. I found what I was looking for at ML Furs! Not only is the quality absolutely fantastic, but the design, expert matching of pelts and overall distinctive experience of working with a real furrier. The customer service is perhaps the best I have encountered in many, many years. When I ordered my fur, Sarah, the best liaison in the business, helped me with the sizing, taking of measurements and special ordering instructions to my specialized specifications. This is something that is a rarity in an online purchase. I felt as if I was in the store itself, being handled by a top furrier, and the result was a coat that came to me as if I was personally measured and fitted with a personal body pattern made prior to the actual rendering of the final product. I cannot express how many accolades I would like to bestow upon Sarah and ML Furs!!! The first purchase was a sable and mink coat that was indeed a knock-out! Designed by Zandra Rhodes, it had the luxury look of the furs that were the symbol of understated glamour from the past — yet, with a totally modern twist. I am so pleased with this purchase, I explored another option, a white fox fur jacket with spots of black tracking the were sprinkled across the garment. The extra swing of the back made it dashing — the sleeves ending in petal like formations that gave it the WOW factor. Both furs were of the utmost quality and extremely classy. If you do not live in Denver, look at their site — it will open you eyes. Kudos to ML Furs and their fine staff and furs!

I just received the mink coat I purchased from their website for my wife and couldn’t be happier with it. It took me 3 months to pick one out, but Alyssa helped me through out and finally gave me a nice coupon when I was ready to buy. Really nice honest people…

When I was considering purchasing a sable coat from Marks-Lloyds furs, Richard Gross, the owner, went out of his way to accommodate me, including promising extensive tailoring. I visited the store on several occasions for fittings and each time the fit seemed the same as before; during this process, the coat and two belts remained in storage at the store. About a year ago, I received a large bill for storage, which I assumed was a mistake. When I asked the owner(Richard Gross) about it, he said«Don’t worry about that»(I had purchased the coat in installments and it was paid in full). Approximately one year ago, I received a letter from attorney Vincent Buzek demanding full payment for storage fees, interest and fines. I immediately confronted Mr. Gross and I barely recognized the person who had been so accommodating when he wanted to make the original sale. He was surly and condescending and kept saying that he had to make a living and he couldn’t store items for nothing. I went to the extent of asking him if he would take the coat back in exchange for the money he felt I owed him. He laughed and said«What would I do with that». I said that he could sell it and his response was«I have a million dollars of inventory, why do I want your coat». He then told me he was keeping the coat until I settled with the attorney. After I paid the fees, interest and fines, I returned to pick up the coat and it still doesn’t fit correctly. In addition, the two belts were missing. Without a doubt, my Marks-Lloyds furs experience was the worst example of customer service I have ever encountered when dealing with a retailer.

After the horrible experience of storing my fur coat here last year and talking to a manager about this experience, I was being called every other day about storage this year. I called the store back finally and told them I had a bad experience and wouldn’t be storing my coat there again. That was about a month ago. Today, I got a message from an unknown number that turned out to be a Rochelle from Marks-Lloyds. She wanted to offer me a discount to store it there based on my negative experience. Seriously? I’ve stored it at Neiman Marcus with a wonderful staff. I will never be going back to a place that seems to have damaged my coat and stored it under a stairwell. This store needs to disappear.
