Came here for drinks with my husband after drink and draw(next door at coffee house Tuesday 6−10p). Love the atmosphere. Great décor. Excellent beverages. Bar tender gave us his recommendation for beer and it was lovely. Prices are comparable to living in a metro area. I would definitely go again.

Best bar I’ve been to in Denver, hands down. The Thin Man was our last stop of six destinations on Halloween night and it is the most charmingly, fantastically, endearingly weird place. Like, sci fi movie weird. I know it helped that it was Halloween, but the giant paper mache skulls bouncing around to the beat, the pink light bathing the crowd, the dance floor roiling with happy, eclectic people just having a great time, and the delicious drinks meant that we fell head over heels for this particular Man immediately. The DJ was awesome as well. We loved it so much that we went back the next day and bought the t-shirt. Seriously. If you like kick-ass check-your-pretension-and-judgment-at-the door bars, this is the place for you.

Love this place and their infused vodkas. They always create some fun cocktail for me. They’ll give you a bunch of ideas if you have no clue what you want to try. It is such a chill environment — great for meeting a friend for happy hour.

These place is wonderful. Eclectic and odd in a great way. It is both fun to look at and be a part of. Service is spot on but it is a popular place so drinks can take a while due to volume. that’s just the price you pay for a fun environment. It’s a hipster haven with loads of well dressed men and women and gender neutral folk. I’ll be back tonight as the last time I was in I had so much fun that I forgot my card.

The world powers are wondering if human life could be supported and sustained on the planet Mars. Instead of these repeated dummy missions to a shitty planet that would no doubt be more miserable than planet earth, send people to Thin Man. I thought I was on Mars. The vodka drinks are tasty.

Great neighborhood bar for delicious libations. Couldn’t ask for more! Nice date spot, as other bars and restaurants close by pair well with this place.

Thank goodness there’s a place for us skinny guys! I mean wait, I get it now. What a great«kick back and drink» watering hole this bar is. Located so close to City Park that you can spit on it, The Thin Man is an excellent place to enjoy some libations. I have never once had a bad time here. It’s got a great atmosphere and an enjoyable clientele. Employees are really on top of their game and totally polite. What I really like is that you can have a normal conversation without all the hype of the bar scene. There are multiple drink options. Plenty of room to sit, stand, chill out and relax. There isn’t a dull space in this bar. The back patio is spacious and open — just what one would want in Denver. It’s never a bad idea to stop by and have a cocktail.

Fun wannabe dive bar that makes their own infused spirits. I had a sweet tea vodka + lemonade and a cucumber vodka tonic. Both were great with balanced flavors. We hung out on the patio on a Sunday evening, and it wasn’t busy at all. If you don’t like religious paintings, sculptures, etc., don’t come here. They’re all over the place!

I love this place. It was one of the first bars I went to after moving to Denver, and it’s still one of my very favorites. The main reason is because it possesses actual character – the kind you can’t manufacture, try as you might. With its narrow layout, hodgepodge religious iconography and decorative ceramic floor tile, The Thin Man reminds me of a bar you’d find tucked away in a Paris neighborhood. The drinks are good, the prices are fair and the service is cordial. Despite not generally being the al fresco type, I do love sitting inside, near the big window that opens out onto the 17th street sidewalk seating. Plus, the lighting will make you feel the magic.

Great ambiance. Not too big, not too small. Amazing infused vodka. Gorgonzol sandwich was delicious. Staff and other patrons were friendly. Avoid if you hate the color red.

Great dive-y location to grab a drink. There is a large selection of infused vodkas. Watch out they are dangerously delicious and deceivingly strong. I tried a cucumber vodka with 7 Up and had a second because it was that good! The service on the other hand is completely lacking to the point the bartender was rude. It was so bad that maybe it was intentional to add to the atmosphere. Go for the drinks and ignore the service.

Took about 10 minutes of standing at an empty bar for the bartender to stop and acknowledge me and my 2 friends. She must have walked past us like 6 times while chatting and laughing with other patrons at the bar. We were standing patiently looking to grab her attention. Once caught, it was a weak, «are you drinking?» … Really? I get that everyone needs a bit of downtime, and we came at a later hour, but it sucks to feel ignored. The music and vibe seemed like something I would really like, too. Service killed it for me, though. Had the one drink and left.

Manufactured hipster vibe. I have been here many, many times in the 11 years I’ve lived in Denver, and in all those years have only met one nice bartender who also provided good service. All of the others, including those currently on staff are rude and often very terse, and they seem keen on making you wait for their attention, only to stop you short and demand an ID impolitely when they do finally engage you. Good luck ordering a second drink, and it’s guaranteed the bartender will pretend not to remember your name even when the place is only sparsely crowded. The crowd, however, is always interesting and the music is usually spot on, not to mention their wide selection of infused vodkas and an extensive beer list. The location makes for great people watching, conversation with fellow patrons, and impulsive stops at either the neighboring coffee shop or nearby restaurants. Can get quite crowded, even on weeknights, which is only exacerbated by the shotgun layout of the place.

The Thin Man appears to try hard, really hard, to be authentic; however, it kind of fell flat for me. I’m convinved even the strange smell that permiates that bar is also engineered, too, but who’s to say? Anyway, we had a brief stay during a quiet Monday afternoon. Tyrone was the bartender, and he seems to be a good guy. If he was in charge of the music, he has good taste. It’s rare that I go into a bar that has good music playing. We had the $ 6 sangria, which was pretty average(but strong). They had a pretty good beer selection, which is appreciated, and what appeared to be a large selection of infused spirits. Manufactured hipster nonsense is not my thing, but that’s not to say I woudn’t go again. Seems to be a pretty decent local bar.

Small place, but that’s the only downside. Gets pretty busy. 1. Sangria 2. Amaaaaazing pinkish lighting that makes everyone look like a damn movie star. 3. Homemade infused alcohols 4. Cute tenders of bar 5. Coffee shop vibe Its just a great little bar. Probably not great for large groups.

I’ve only been to The Thin Man a couple times, but I honestly don’t go enough. I love the energy and décor here. It’s absolutely amazing and super unique. The staff is super friendly and very attentive without overdoing it. I had a few beers which I’ve had before, but the one drink that stood out to me was the spiced wine. It was delicious! It was warm and perfect for the snowy night that we decided to go to The Thin Man. I will be back to The Thin Man for sure. The spiced wine and décor are enough to keep me hooked!

I’ve lived in the City Park West neighborhood for my entire life and it’s unfortunate that The Thin Man has turned out to be such a gentrifying replica of everything else unlike the unique bar that it claims to be. I’ve always loved going to St. Marks and I was always excited to try out The Thin Man once I turned 21 but after my first few experiences I have decided to give up. I was excited to have a neighborhood bar that existed before the blatant gentrification and hipster take over, but not only do the patrons have nothing to do but stare and talk about«social issues» Ill prepared, even the bartenders act like they’re not getting paid to serve their affluent customers. I highly doubt that The Thin Man’s business would ever suffer because most people go there for the hip atmosphere, but I’ve only been there a few times and one of the bartenders, Tyrone, seems to already have A grudge against me. I may not be a «usual» or a «friend» but each time I’ve walked up to the bar, he just stares stone faced like my presence offends him. Not to mention, I even ran into him at a restaurant outside of The Thin Man where he proceeded to point at me and roll his eyes, talking loudly to his friend. I’m not sure how I offended him by ordering a drink, tipping well, and sitting at a table quietly, but if you hate your customers for just existing, than maybe you should work from home. I’m not one to leave negative reviews but I can definitely say that although The Thin Man’s vibe has remained spunky, the pretentious attitudes are prevalent and they’re not exempt from the exclusivity and alienation that’s become so popular in the neighborhood. Oh, and at least Tyrone has a real reason to hate me now… due to this review.

Welcome to the Red Light District! Just kidding, although you will be in wonderful red lighting all night. There is something to lighting and doing it right that changes up the feel of a bar and the night completely. Very quaint romantic little spot to take a date to. Plenty of pretty people. Drinks are poured well and they have a good variety of drafts and vodkas to keep you from getting thirsty. If you are visiting Denver this is definitely a place worth coming for some drinks and chilling in the Denver bar scene.

The Thin Man is one of those places I don’t want to review because that might mean even more people go to it and really I just want to keep close to me like a dirty secret. But here it is.. . The bartenders are REAL bartenders, they know their cocktails and they do them well, they will remember your name and face, sweet as pie(I don’t like pie but I like them!), it’s a great date/friend/family/solo bar to go to. It’s cozy, good vibes and wonderful time every time. I really can’t say enough positive things about this Thin Man. Have been going here for years and will go for many more years to come. Cheers!
