Our last night in Denver so we wanted a nice sit down dinner. The attire for this restaurant is dressy causal which is just what we were looking for. I have to say the hostess was the only encounter we had that was not welcoming, but we only had to deal with her once so no biggie. Our waiter was helpful in suggestions and was attentive to our needs. I had the Ravioli Salsiccia e Porcini in short this is an spicy Italian sausage dish with a sausage wine sauce. It was decent but I probably wouldn’t order it again. Now on to the dessert I had a chocolate hazelnut caramel mousse dessert it was wonderful I enjoyed every bit, could not eat it all because it was so rich. Plus the Caesar salad was great now I know we are talking salad here but this was the best tasting Caesar salad I’ve ever had I think it was the fried capers that made the difference. I gave the restaurant 4 stars because we had a great waiter and I loved the ambience. They have many options to choose from so I would be willing to try another dish if ever in Denver again.

Excellent atmosphere and ambiance, food is pretty good too but the service for our party of ten was outstanding! One of my favorite Italian restaurants!

Top notch eating experience all the way around. The staff treated us like royalty and the food was absolutely delicious! You can’t beat the location and the restaurant’s atmosphere. I don’t believe I have ever had a better prepared swordfish! Delicious! And the caprese salad is phenomenal!

Truly a five star restaurant! I called kind of last minute to make a reservation and without hesitation she said, of course, in such a friendly, welcoming voice. It was a beautiful day so we wanted to sit on their gorgeous patio with a view of Union Station. Mauricio, our server, was fantastic he was attentive, friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the cocktails and food. We ordered multiple dishes and every single one was delicious including dessert. Whether you are visiting or live in Denver, Venice is the place for Italian.

What a great place to celebrate Mother’s Day! Venice offered a special menu for Mother’s Day and must say, we walked out of the restaurant with happy tummies! We ordered the seafood linguine, rigatoni, and veal scaloppine and it did not disappoint! Thank you Venice for the fast and great customer service!

Love this restaurant! Real authentic Italian food made from scratch. We make it a point to come here at least once a month.

The restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. We chatted with the table next to us and went for drinks at several other places afterwards. Which made for a fun evening. Definitely had a social atmosphere. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food itself was fine. We had Calamari which seemed a little undercooked for my taste. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca and my friend ordered the Filet. We traded because neither of us were thrilled with our meal. The drinks were good. Overall I felt like the place was overpriced for what we received.

We were recommended this place for Valentine’s day. I was pretty disappointed because I called to ask if they had a set menu and the answer was no, but when we arrive in Denver, we were informed differently. It’s a very cute place, with white table cloths and not overly pricey, but the food was mediocre at best. The server assured me that the best menu options were on the set menu, however my heart was set on ravioli which was not included. I was told by a friend, Jerry that we would be well taken care of here. I was pretty disappointed with the overall quality and the fact that no one really tried to accommodate us as out of towners. The had a great selection of wines and some cool décor, but I wouldn’t go back.

Venice was recommend by the Westin Downtown Denver, I’m very glad we went with this restaurant! We had a party of 3 and made our reservation late afternoon Friday and they were able to get us in. The food was very delicious, the ambiance was very nice and the service was even better! The only downside of everything is that it does get quite loud in the restaurant and you then have to start yelling to the person across the table from you.

The food was all fantastic, but the service was above and beyond. On a day’s notice they were able to accommodate our large group. Everybody loved their food(and wine… and cocktails). The atmosphere was great, and to top it off they were perfectly willing to do separate checks(with notification up front). All in all, it made for a great and memorable night. Thanks, Venice.

Two words — awe some. Wine list is a bit over the top for a smallish Italian restaurant but the menu and food are phenomenal. I had veal saltimbocca with a side of fettuccine. Wow. Every bite fresh and tasty. Almost ordered seconds.

Venice is sinking. After seeing an amazing 4-course deal on their webpage, I booked a table for Feb 14. To my dismay, the menu was not available. They brought in the manager who informed me the menu was from TWO YEARs ago! To be fair, the manager gave us a free glass of wine. But it couldn’t fix the problem. At 7:30 it was too late to leave and find another restaurant without a reservation. We were literally stuck there. The seating was atrocious. In preparation for St Valentine’s Day and everyone eating out, they removed their standard tables and crammed in bistro-sized tables for two. Chairs were placed next to each other(not directly across) because otherwise, no one would have been able to walk in between them. This didn’t help, because, I was unable to open my menu, due to people trying to get past our table. It was awful, and I felt terrible for the waitstaff. The chairs were rickety, and I was in constant fear mine would collapse. It seems like most other diners were feeling the same way and complaining to the staff. The table were tipsy and needed napkins underneath table legs to stablize. This was not in the least bit romantic, as the noise level of so many people stuffed into the restaurant made conversation a chore. I felt terrible for all the ladies and gents that got dressed up for a nice romantic dinner. How disappointing that Venice choose money over quality of experience. They won’t be Getting any more of mine.

Best Italian food in Denver! I have friends from Rome and they go here. The owner and lead chef are also from Italy, these guys know what they are doing! Italians have a true love for food! Try it out they are great! The seafood soup and lamb shank are amazing! If your a drinker ask for the expresso martini. But only one because two will leave you thinking your Italian!

I came to Venice for a company function and it was fantastic. We had a four course meal and by the end I was completely stuffed. The meal started off with bruchetta and a salad, both of which were good and light. There was an interesting risotto soup that had a lot of flavor, but an interesting consistency. For the main course I had the chicken with marinara and that was fantastic. The chicken was very moist and there was a perfect amount of marinara on top so you could choose how much flavor you want on the bite. For desert we had the«Nutella» crepes. They weren’t true Nutella, but was very similar and was quite rich and one of the best deserts I’ve had in a long time. From the bar the restaurant looks fairly small, however there are a lot of tables in the back area which is where we sat at. The bar only had two choices of beers, but they made great mixed drinks, and had a good selection of Italian wine.

Came here for Christmas dinner, the food was very good. The complimentary bread was delicious just like their pastas. Being from Texas, I would say that their portions were not as big as I would expect from a traditional Italian restaurant, specially their meat entrées(my husband had the veal with polenta and it was«small»), or it may be just because their food was so good that we wanted to have a little bit more! :) They have a very extensive wine menu. They will give you a tablet to browse their wines. Our server was really considerate, knowing that I couldn’t have any dessert since I’m allergic to dairy, he brought us their house made limoncello, really nice of him.

Came here to celebrate my birthday. Made the reservation on OpenTable a week in advance during the holiday season so I was very fortunate that they had space. They gave us a fantastic table and the staff was amazing! We were there for almost 3 hours. We had the calamari as an appetizer which was fresh and crisp and very flavorful. I love the pesto sauce for it the best. My girlfriend and I split the seafood ravioli and I licked the plate. Ok, not really because I was in a gorgeous red dress with a tiara but if I wasn’t so stand out in it, I totally would have hidden behind the napkin and licked the plate it was that good! Had a candle in my dessert… vanilla ice cream with a chocolate ganache topping. Very sweet We got it bottle of wine that came in the most awesome decanter. Their wine list is extensive and easy to flip through being on the iPad. They are right across from Union Station and also have a valet. I will be returning here for sure!

This is a tourist trap! Very pore service, very loud and overly busy, not enough help for all the customers. They brought out the wrong food twice, finally our friend gave up and she went home with an empty stomach. My $ 38 Sea Bass was over cooked and had no flavor at all!

We were excited to try the downtown location and could not have been more disappointed. Our family eats at quality restaurants consistently, after twenty years of marriage this was honestly one of the worst experiences we have ever had. The food was mediocre but the service was appalling — it could not have been more disjointed or uninspired. Apparently the kitchen had a paper problem which caused us to never get the appetizer we ordered. Beyond that our dinners were severely late and one meal came to the table 20min after two others. Our waiter disappeared for 30min and if it wasn’t for the nice guy filling our water glasses as we sat there and waited I would have raised hell. For prices this high, Venice needs to hit it out of the park with it’s service but last night that was far from the truth. Absolutely ridiculous.

My group came for a going away dinner on Tuesday evening. I called previously to see about parking around the restaurant since it was downtown. The person on the phone informed me they have valet. It would’ve been nice if he told me it was $ 10 before I arrived. We had a party of 15 and my group was already seated when I arrived. I’m glad that they had an ice selection of whiskey because I wasn’t really feeling wine. I asked for it to be neat. It came with a few small ice cubes but it wasn’t how I usually order a neat whiskey. I had the Cesar salad in the parmesan bowl for appetizer. It was pretty good. I couldn’t enjoy all of the bowl because it was a little bit difficult to break apart into bite size pieces. But the parts I ate were good. The portion size was nice. I had a bite of my friend’s calamari. It was cooked nicely. Our server explained the menu nicely. He directed us to the specials that were on the last page. I ended up ordering one of them. I love seafood. My dish was good, but I wasn’t wow’d by it. I think the sea bass that came in the dish was a little bit overcooked. Everyone else in my party seemed satisfied with their plates. Many of them ordered pasta and they said it was delicious. At the end of the night, the server brought the check to our table and reminded the gentleman paying that gratuity was not included. For a party of 15? OK. We don’t need to be reminded to tip you. I just thought that was a little off-putting. I’m happy I was able to try it. I will have to see if I will be returning.

The only reason I am giving a 4 star rating is for having to wait until our whole entire party arrived for the waiter to take our order. During the waiting, we all filled ourselves with bottomless bread that the waiter would come and replace with warmer bread. Once our order was taken, they brought out the appetizers first before the full course meal was brought out. Understandable, but for those that didn’t have appetizers filled up on more bottomless bread. Moving onto the main course… it was aaaaaamazing. I had the tortellini alla parmigiana with a glass of moscato. The food portion is traditional European style, so fairly small; however, we had filled ourselves on those bottomless bread making us full. Definitely worth the price and a possible 5 star rating.
