We stayed at a near by hotel and was looking for a quick bite before heading out for the day. This place was perfect. The coffee was fresh, food was quick and inexpensive. Very nice people even when I spilled my coffee all over the counter.

Five stars for the Bloody Mary, two for service(no silverware, and I had to get menus), four stars for the breakfast burrito, 2 for the bacon cheeseburger with the unmelted cheese. Cute spot though! Was hoping shrimp and grits that was not on he menu. :(

The food at the Destin Diner was very good. I had the breakfast burrito and it was bursting with flavor. My husband had the pancakes and they as well were great. The only flaw to this neat place is that the service was poor. They never asked if the needed anything when they sat out plates down. They just bolted from the table. Good wise it was great… Service wise it was poor.

The place smells like bleach. We had to ask for so many things that weren’t on the table(salt and pepper, napkins) Etc. For the price go to Donut Hole

Pretty good breakfast. Nice flavor on the steaks and eggs. The waitress was very nice and the food did not take too long to come out. The mimosas, which I was excited about since they were the only place we found that served them were phenomenal. In Houston you can drink 4 and not feel a thing. Here I drank 1 and the room started spinning lol. The bathrooms were super clean and smelled nice.(Just don’t forget to lock the door) lol. I would come back, even if just for the mimosas.

My husband and I have been to this diner many times and the food is pretty good but the service has been horrible lately. They are severely understaffed so expect to wait a while. I used to love coming here now I just get frustrated with constantly waiting and food being forgotten.

Wouldn’t recommend this place, unfortunately. Food came late, cold, and didn’t have much flavor. The pancakes were overdone and dry, had to ask again for the cream we ordered with them. Biscuits and gravy were cold and bland. Disappointing considering the other reviews. Also wait time was way too long. Yes, it was a busy Saturday morning service but staff weren’t really on the ball.

Good little diner. Fish sandwich was great. Chicken sandwich had no seasonings and little flavor. Decent prices. Attentive service.

Unbelievable food. Best crab cakes I’ve ever had! Casual atmosphere. Great for my daughter. Reasonable prices. If you visit the Destin area, be sure to stop in. I’ll be going back in 2016 for sure.

We came here for my mother in law’s birthday and were treated wonderfully by the staff. The menu options were not many, but what was offered was terrific! We had: smoked salmon salad, smoked tuna salad, mannecotti, and eggs Benedict. My daughter said the smoked tuna salad was the best she had ever had. My husband said the smoked salmon was the best he’d been served outside of Ireland. When staff discovered it was a birthday meal, over they came singing AND bringing a birthday mimosa for my mother in law, and offered up a free refill. When we were chilly they adjusted the vents for us with no complaints. They took the time to learn our names and were great conversationists. This place has great, tasty food, generous portions, friendly staff, clean &.attractive surroundings and is priced reasonably. We will be back! :-)

Had the shrimp and grits three times for breakfast and been awesome each time. The shrimp are fresh and large. The cheese grits taste awesome and I am not grits fan. Will be back They are open again 3⁄5

I have been coming to Destin for 7 years now and every time I would come I would always look over at this place and wonder when they would ever open again. The location is in a great spot across from the beach and the shiny chrome façade looks like a super cool old diner from the 40’s. I was very pleased to find on this visit that they finally opened. We stopped in for dinner. The staff was exceptionally nice and very attentive. The inside décor wasn’t what I expected, but it was quirky and fun. Kind of an old Italian vibe. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi and my boyfriend got a cheeseburger. The portions were huge! My dinner came with 2 large pieces of fish, a whopping load of mashed red potatoes and a salad with a tomato vinaigrette dressing. It was all delicious. My boyfriend’s cheeseburger and fries were really good too. We hoped to try one of their hand-crafted shakes others were raving about, but we were stuffed. Maybe next time!

The breakfast burrito was really good! Our bloody Mary’s and mimosas were fantastic! We also tried the big breakfast and we were not disappointed! There was no wait which was a very good thing. Most other breakfast joints we have been to in destin had 45 – 60 minute waits. And who likes to wait??? The server we had was pretty funny as well! Try this place out you will enjoy :)

Decent diner with a limited quality selection. Portion sizes are large and food is pretty impressive. Staff is very friendly and décor is very interesting. Diner is right across from Silver Beach Towers close to the Destin Track. Waiter looks like Seth Rogen. Would definitely go back. You have to ask about the kids menu. They can essentially do anything.

I used to have a lot of great memories of eating at this place when I was younger(mostly the pancakes!) so I was excited when they finally opened back up. The place is the complete opposite of what it was, and not in a good way. A very limited menu of mostly seafood(as if there aren’t enough seafood joints in Destin already) and the backside of the menu nothing but alcoholic drinks. It has no family feel to it anymore, and certainly no more pancakes. The prices were also very high. After looking at the menu we left to go somewhere else. Disappointing.

I wanted sooooo much to like Destin Diner. We waited years for somebody to reopen this classic diner. The interior is nicely done and the menu, though limited, seemed to have something for everyone. We started with the Smoked Tuna Dip. It came with only 4 packets of Saltines… for three of us… so we had to ask for more. The dip was basically shredded smoked tuna with a tiny bit of mayonnaise, I’m guessing, because it was pretty dry. Smoked tuna dip is popular in Destin, but there are at least four other restaurants near here that do it much better. While we waited for our main meals, the staff was busy all around us sweeping, vacuuming, spraying/wiping tables and carrying large bags of trash down the narrow aisle of the diner. So much for ambience. I don’t like a dirty restaurant, but vacuuming the floor right next to my seat is a no-no in my book. Our food arrived, cheeseburgers and a shrimp po boy. They were okay… not bad, just not anything that would have me dreaming of making a return trip. As my husband put it, the food was largely unremarkable. I was hoping that their food would have some unique flavors or presentation, but it was all pretty basic. There are a lot of mediocre restaurants in Destin, probably because tourists will eat anything without expecting much quality. If the Destin Diner is to survive, it will need to up its game.
