Within walking distance of our rental, we decided to check out this restaurant. I was craving pancakes so the name seemed apt. We were greeting by very friendly staff and seated promptly. Coffee was in my hands in less than a minute. Not literally in my hands but you get the point. Snappy Joe. I had the banana pancakes and they were delicious. I almost ordered a couple of eggs and some bacon thinking I might still be hungry but glad I refrained. These pancakes are HUGE. Tried as I might, I could not finish. I had to leave nearly half on the plate but don’t get the wrong impression… the pancakes were GOOD! 4 stars due to price. I kinda feel like I paid more than what should be a fair price for pancakes. Again, delicious ‘cakes and they are huge but being a tourist town, a bit pricey.

This is a great option for local breakfast. The establishment was busy when we arrived but managed to get a seat. The waitstaff were extremely nice and refilled our coffee mugs regularly. The food was straight and to the point. There are a lot of varieties of pancakes, some healthy some less healthy however; they are all tasty. The food was fresh and hot, and seems to be a place where the locals go to eat. I ordered a side of grits with my meal and I enjoyed eating them.

Great little local place. Very inviting environment. Ordered the eggs Benedict and the shrimp omelet. Both were incredible. I’m a huge fan of eggs Benedict and this was the best I’ve ever had, the hollandaise sauce was so good I even used it for my shrimp omelet. Everything was made with fresh ingredients. The service was awesome, we had the server Jess St. and she was very nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. Definitely will be returning and recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable breakfast dining experience.

Our first time at the Pancakery. It’s not your regular pancake. Delicious would be an understatement. It’s well worth the drive coming from Niceville. Great service comes gourmet food. I had the crab island omelet coupled with their sand dollar pancakes. Highly recommend. Come early or be prepared to wait 45min-1hr. I’ll be back.

Great food and friendly service, it is a small restaurant so expect to wait if you go later after 9:30 am. However, well worth the wait. We are a family of 6, our 4 hungry boys enjoyed the food, kids are all under 11yrs. The staff was very helpful and kind to our crazy active kiddos.

I had such high hopes for this place, reading all the great Unilocal reviews. We went on a Thursday morning, around 10:30am and were seated promptly. The waitress was quick to take our drink orders, but then we waited about 15 minutes for our drinks(iced mocha coffee, iced vanilla coffee, and an orange juice). And she actually forgot the juice! I ordered the atomic bomblette, with pancakes and a side of bacon. My hubby ordered the spinich and mushroom omelet and a side of bacon, with toast. Another 15 minutes go by. Still no juice. She finaly brings the food(she forgot both sides of bacon), and had to be reminded about the juice. Again. Hopefully, the food lives up to the hype(ANDPRICE!!). Hubs thought his omelet was just average. My «atomic bomblette» was lacking. I was half way through it before I got my first bite of jalapeño. And my pancakes? I couldn’t even saw through with a butter knife. I mean, come’on people. This is the PANCAKERY!!! And they serve me rubbery pancakes? Ugh. To make matters worse, I’m cutting another piece of omelet, and I see it. The dreaded HAIR. IN. MY. FOOD! I’m done. Oh, and my long awaited and highly anticipated orange juice? Was spoiled. *Hangs head* The one star was for the great iced coffees, and at least the bathrooms were clean. Service and food were both dismal. Never coming back.

This place was just ok. Breakfast is a meal that is a little hard to wow you with anyway, but after reading all the fabulous reviews I decided to give Pancakery a try. This is off season, mind you, and the service was average at best. I ordered the Western Omelet with whole grain pancakes. I also ordered a side of bacon. My order was dropped off without butter or sauces or asking if anything was needed. I did get butter and hot sauce after waiting and watching my waitress pass me by several times. The omelet was huge, but all the veggies seemed to be smothered in butter/grease. The cheese tasted like processed cheese, so nothing special. The pancakes were just ok as well. Then the bill came. $ 2.29 for coffee? I don’t pay that much for a tall coffee, that tastes great, at Starbucks! Save yourself some $$ by splitting the meal and don’t bother with the expensive brown water.

The Pancakery in Destin, FL was awesome! We got so much food that we couldn’t enjoy it all at once! My wife and I both got the omelet, and slit an order of pancakes. This place has great service, great food and friendly staff. We sat on the patio, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and we didn’t have to wait at all! Destin, FL can be a pretty busy place but early May is perfect if you’d like to try this awesome restaurant out! I’ve been told that peak season in Destin is the worst time to go here unless you plan to wait for a millenia!

Ehhh not as great as I anticipated from previous reviews. I had the traditional breakfast; the eggs came out as ordered, the hash browns were inedible even with ketchup.

Long over due. Have been coming here for years. Look forward to it every time we come to Destin. This past visit I had«The Mule». Aptly named because you need a mule to carry your ass home if you eat the whole thing This place has great service, great food and friendly staff. Don’t take my word for it, ask those that are willing to wait an hour+ during peak tourist season. The only negative thing I can say is that Hurricane Katrina drove the owners the Destin instead of leaving them in Nola so I can visit more often.

As always food was delicious. I got the mushroom and spinach egg white omelet with grilled chicken. My mom got the pumpkin pancakes. They both were delicious. Waiters were nice. Good was prepared quickly. Only con is that the restaurant does not have much seating.

First off, the name is a misnomer. Yes, they sell pancakes. Quite good ones, in fact. But they could also be called an Omelettery, because they make pretty darn good omelettes. Or a Waffleery, because those looked good, too. I’d opt for Breakfastery, because based on previous Unilocal reviews, and on the ever present line of customers(even in the off season), plus our own experiences eating here, breakfast is where they shine. Place your name on the list with the hostess and settle in(if you give them your cell number, you can browse the touristy shop next door and they’ll page you when you’re up). Once seated, behold the humongous(as in physical size) menu. Lots of options from your basic breakfast food groups. But you should note that the math of the build your own omelette works very much against you. Adding one item to a make your own will likely cost more than a 3 – 4 item pre-configured omelette. Buyer beware. The Atomic Bomblette omelette had it all, Including jalapeños with the seeds still attached(hence the«atomic» part). And the omelette is huge. Very tasty and, with the silver dollar pancake side, very filling. The strawberry pancake was HUGE and a bit too wet for my taste. But the flavor was there for both the pancake(buttermilk) and the strawberry topping Even with the line, it’s worth a visit. The food is very good and you’ll likely have enough left over for breakfast the next day.

So we decided to try the pancake he instead of going to our regular place the donut hole. When we got to the restaurant it was raining outside, so the outside eating section was closed which made the wait a little bit longer than normal. We were told it was going to be about a 35 to 45 minute wait, it ended up being an hour and a half. The only good thing about the wait was we were able to go next door and do some last minute gift shopping. After being seated, our waitress got to our table very quickly. We placed our orders and had our meals within 10 minutes. I had the red, white and blue pancakes with the add on «2 eggs and bacon.» I really enjoyed the pancakes, some parts were a little soggy because of the strawberries that were cooked in the batter, but other than that I was happy. My daughter had the smiley face pancake and loved it. She didn’t even need syrup because if thee hip cream and chocolate chips.

Great spot for brunch. I got the Eggs Benedict which was perfectly cooked. Great hollandaise sauce! My friend got the original pancakes that he really enjoyed. Fantastic costumer service. They do not take call ahead reservations. We tried going yesterday morning and it was a 45 min wait. Went today around noon and had no trouble getting a spot. Depends on what day and when you go.

Last breakfast stop, and it was well worth the 45 – 60 minute wait. Between our group of 8 plus 1 young one, we all ordered: 2 Eggs Benedict 1 Banana Foster 1 Sampler 1 Atomic Bomblette with bacon 1 Western omelette 1 Ham, Steak, & Eggs 1 Crabcake Benedict 1 Mule Majority of the entrees come with toast or sand dollar pancakes. The sand dollar pancakes are smaller than the average pancake, but still a pretty good sized pancake. It comes with powdered sugar on top. The meals were DELICIOUS. I usually never finish my eggs benedict, but this time around, I killed it! I would have liked the eggs to have a little more yolk running, but overall, it was still delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and found it to be a good find, plus a great last meal together. The two people who ordered the omelettes said that the portions were extremely large especially since it comes with pancakes/toast, so keep that in mind if you’re not feeling extremely hungry, sharing is caring! ;)
