Waffle House

I felt like I was walking into the Twilight Zone. There was no one here. The cook was sleeping at the corner booth. We ordered and the cook had to be woken up to make half of our meal. He then disappeared and the cashier/​waiter made my waffles. First half of the food came out quick and was really good. I was told the waffles would be right out. One waffle comes out, good and golden brown. Second waffle arrives and is raw and mushy. The waiter said, «That one’s a bit raw. Sorry, I’ve got another one coming.» THEN WHY THE EFF SERVE IT?! When it showed up, it too was raw and no different than the first. The waiter was nice however. While there another patron came in and asked for Root Beer. The waiter responded, «it’s out and storage is locked.» He the. Asked for Hi-​C. It was weak and the customer said, «that’s pretty much water.» So he had to order a third drink. Seems like customer service could be better served by staff that are awake and care about having a job. This is disappointing because I have always liked Waffle House and never had a bad experience. I probably won’t return to this location. Perhaps it now needs to be called the Awful House.

This is by far one of the nicest staffed Waffle Houses I’ve been to. I mean it Waffle House so the food is the same as any other location you’d visit. I placed a phone order and the server who took my order remembered every single detail. When I got there she greeted me and was just as awesome in person as on the phone. The teamwork of the staff is apparent and they make everyone feel welcome. Karen went above and beyond on my visit. Definitely a stop for anyone who wants some good customer service. For people who are interested, I ordered the All-​Star Special which was great… especially this order because I received everything exactly as ordered.

Rude Rude Rude… Never saw such poor management… and i am local… rushed me to eat… and ran springbreakers away… disapointed…

Typical waffle house food. with a twist! Our waitress was great. let her experiment! ;) she made me her own version of a «shirley t» and waffle … which were amazing. DONT PEEK! thank you for an awesome time… we will visit again

Stopped in here for breakfast while on vacation. They have someone at the door that will take your name and # of people in your party. Had never seen that before at the waffle house, but once the breakfast rush started to come in — i realized why they do that. it is the average size of any waffle house, with tables that hold 4 – 5 people and counter service.
Breakfast was awesome — ordered a ham, egg and cheese melt. Honestly have to say that was the best one I have ever had. Boyfriend ordered the Slam special and it was also delicious.
Service here is fast and really very good. They are very friendly and efficient.
If we are back in the Destin area, will definitely come back for breakfast.

Went here while on vacation with my family on the evening of ⁸⁄₁₇. I had seen so many of these on my road trip from San Antonio and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance.
Since there wasn’t a table big enough for my family of 5, we sat on the counter top area with bar stools. We sat there long enough to study the menu and decide what each of us were going to order. Ten minutes passed without any acknowledgment from anyone. Keep in mind it wasn’t even busy. There were a total of 3 tables with customers and they already had service. There were 3 employees. One guy cooking right in front of us, and two other servers… one female and one male. The two servers just looked completely lost and walked by us several times. It was like we were invisible. No one attempted to give us any kind of service. There was no «hi» or «we’ll be right with you.» Nothing! I was very disappointed. After 15 mins went by and no service, my family and I finally left. I wish I could rate this place lower than 1 star.

Great service and excellant breakfast. Waitress followed up on everything and was a pleasure.
