Worst service, terrible attitudes, coffee always taste extremely burnt. Go to Roasting Plant.

There are plenty of good coffee shops downtown(for example, the Roasting Plant across the street and Urban Bean Co a few blocks over), however this particular Starbucks is not one of them. The location is great. Standing in the heart of Woodward Avenue and Campus Martius Park, this Starbucks has the potential to thrive. Keyword: Has. Because of it’s hectic location, you can expect a wait during the work week. Between people coming in for their morning coffee before going to the office and people grabbing a bite to go ok their lunch break, it is a tad bit expected. However, what you should also expect is the 10 – 15 minutes it takes to actually make your drink … no matter if there’s anyone in line in front of you or not. I’ve frequented this location a handful of times in the past few weeks(only because I’ve had money on my card!) and I keep hoping it’ll get better, but it unfortunately hasn’t. I’ve never been greeted with a «hello, how can I help you» by the barista. It’s usually a blank stare and a look of the person hating their job instead. You’ve been warned! Kill them with a smile instead! I ordered a tall java chip light frappuchino on my visit today. After waiting 13 minutes(yes, I actually counted) I was thrown a regular java chip frappuchino. I normally would’ve let it go but this was the third time I’ve had something wrong with my order since coming to this location. It’s not like my order is that complicated by any means. I was happy that they offered to make me a new drink but was unhappy with the way it was handled. The barista asked me why I needed the light option. Are you serious? The actual conversation went as follows: Me: Thank you. However, I ordered a light frappuchino. Barista: This is. Oh, wait. Are you sure you can’t drink this? Me: This isn’t what I ordered. Normally I’d be okay with it but this is the third time my order has been wrong. Barista: I can just take off the whipped cream. Me: The whipped cream upsets my stomach as is. Besides, I’d like my drink with nonfat milk. Barista: Fine. Thankfully the other barista noticed and was kind enough to give me a coupon for a free drink next time I’m at Starbucks. I didn’t want to cause a confrontation but I’m happy I left with a drink at least. We’ll see how it is when I’m back again!

Very poor attitudes and so extremely slow… rude. ive been here 10 minutes. .first in line… and everyone behind me is getting their drinks. And I did not get what I ordered. I pay for a Grande and get a tall… no shot… no flavor besides blended milk. Yes… I tried saying something but they didnt respond ok or care. I definitely will not go back!!! JUNK

I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and was literally handed a cup of iced milk. I asked if there was espresso in it(the drink was pure white) and the barista asked me if I wanted that. I said of course, because grandes have a double shot. She then proceeded to pour half the milk out and then add in one shot of espresso. Then she«drizzled» caramel and handed it to me. I asked if I could get a real CM and have never received more attitude in my life.

Slow, confused, and incompetent. But overall friendly… I guess. Mass confusion on both sides of the counter along with heavy frustration. I would say avoid or plan accordingly for a long wait.

Horrible attitude of Batista. Stopped in on the way to tour the Guardian Building this past Saturday(01÷24÷15) morning around 10:35AM. The bathroom was out of commission due to some kind of construction looking repair work and two men with equipment. I didn’t see that and asked the gal working if they had a restroom. She told me, no and that it was being worked on and didn’t offer an alternative. Very little eye contact as she took our order. No smile. She was robotic and cranky. I looked at the repairmen and said back to her, «Wow, I guess it IS being worked on». She nastily replied, «Well did you think I lied to you?» After our order she was very chatty with her female co-worker. Just so happens that she is the same girl in the photograph in Scott R’s review of the same place, dated 01÷17÷15. I see a pattern here. BTW– the Guardian Building Tour is free and was great. Absolutely beautiful building. What a jewel.

The worst Starbucks I’ve ever been to. The attitude of the barista was unreal. Don’t ask for anything, she looks like she wants to jump over the counter and take your head off. Terrible. Terrible.

I frequent this Starbucks because it is so close to where I work, but I am constantly disappointed at the quality of their service and drinks. They are constantly out of ingredients for common drinks, straws, coffee sleeves, etc. Their customer service is terrible and baristas frequently make drinks incorrectly. In addition, they aren’t a corporate store so they won’t accept any coupons or rewards.
