Skuddlebutts Pizza & Catering

Just low grade food. Good prices, service, the kids are nice, but they always forget something.
I really haven;t enjoyed this place since it was over on Belmont. The only reason I’m giving it 2 stars is because I am sentimental.

i must qualify my review by saying I’VE NEVER BEEN TO THEIR LOCATION, BUT…
…I have had their pizza. AWESOME! If you like New York Slice (thin crust) type of pizza, then this is the closest thing to it. Sadly, my wife has me on a no pizza diet for like the next year, so I can’t have it till then. But the first place I’m going after that, is HERE. Check em out!

Simply Terrible!!! Delivery took over an hour… I live less than 5 minutes away. Food was barely warm, several items were missing and it was mediocre at best. If I could give 0 stars for the unprofessional customer service of the individuals that are employed here, I would. There are so many superior restaurants in the area…

Ordered delivery from here. Sausage was a little over cooked but food was great otherwise. Delivery was quick and driver was courteous and friendly. Highly recommend.

This place is awesome. We ordered for delivery to Darien which isn’t close but they did it and it was under an hour. We also order from work which is on Ogden. Thanks for the fast service!

Love the pizza and cheesy breads sticks. Delivery is prompt and people are nice. I used to go to the restaurant when it was open years ago. Raw veggie app is a hidden jewel!

Just got our food that we ordered from here through Unilocal!Got a free pizza for buying one, guess that’s the whole «always 2 for 1» thing they’re advertising. Thin crust pizza is pretty good! We just got a plain cheese, so I can’t speak for how good their toppings are, but I’m definitely satisfied with their cheese. Their ‘3 little pigs’ sandwich was «really good» according to my fiancé, and their mozzarella sticks aren’t the best, but I’ve had a lot worse. We also got coupons in the mail today for Skuddlebutts, so we will be returning to see what else they have to offer. I would say their pricing is quite appropriate for the town they’re in. If you can afford to live in Downers and the surrounding suburbs, you can afford a $ 20 pizza.

Outstanding!
We decided to call Skuddlebutts to cater our Birthday Party/​Barbecue and were pleasantly surprised! Wow… What a spread! And the food was awesome! Everything from the Italian sausage to the mostacciolli to the burgers, hot dogs and potatoes! Superb!
Our Grillmaster was Danny, who was not only an outstanding cook, but was extremely polite and accommodating.

I was really looking forward to this pizza. What a let down. This was the Worst crust I’ve ever had. The bottom was biscuit like and the center of it was still doughy. Although the toppings were very good the dough ruined it for all of us. Definitely not worth the cost and Not a Chicago style pizza.

3.5 star seems right about right. Delivery service online with Unilocal makes ordering convenient which I like. Stuff crust cheese was ok (something about the sauce is not my preference, but maybe for others) compared to local delivery competition, and cheese sticks were basic cheese sticks kind of generic but not bad. Ummm Id say 3.5 stars, would go with the competition near by for my stuff crust/​deep dish though

It’s been a while since I have posted about this place. Visiting Chicagoland again reminded me how much I love this food!

TERRIBLE. Waited 1hr 40min. By the time it got here it was cold and terrible. Won’t order from here again. Slow slow slow. Potato salad-​not good, cheese stuffed breadsticks were terrible– hard on the outside and can’t even taste the cheese. The grilled cheese and chicken nuggets are good but the fries weren’t that great. It might have been better if it was actually warm.

I’m all for seasoning, but damn guys, not cool. My stuffed pizza is litterly layered with seasoning of some sort on the top. I had to scoop it all off with a spoon. Also $ 30 for a small pizza and some potato bites? A little bit outrageous. Will not order again, and do not recommend.

Wow just ordered for the first time and its horrible! I’ve eaten frozen pizzas better then this! Very disappointed! We’ll have to continue look for good food around here.

Driving west on Ogden and I couldn’t help but laugh at the Skuddlebutts sign. With a name like that, I had to try it! Pizza slice is pretty good here. It’s only $ 5.50 for two slices… it’s more of a catering joint (hence the name Pizza & catering) so it’s not a place to bring the whole family if you’re looking to dine in. There are a few tables inside for a quick bite, though. I can see myself coming here again.

This joint is absolutely as good as it gets! I grew up on this mouth-​watering pizza and its exactly what reminds me of home. If your looking for quality Chicago style food, this is your spot! Not only is the food to-​die-​for but I always love supporting small business owners. Everything seems to be franchised and chained now-​a-​days and I love nothing more than high quality food AND high quality service. The owner, Danny, is extremely customer service focused and is creatively adapting and adding to the menu to make sure everyone leaves happy.
5 star food, 5 star service… DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THAT!

I’ve been coming here for years! Besides the great service I get, the food is always on point!
My first experience with them was for New Years! Last minute some chain unreliable pizza joint failed to bring the food I ordered and I had tons of guests over! Luckily, Skuddlebutts took my order last minute (9pm New Year’s Eve!!!) and gave me a great deal! They showed up an hour later with 3 deep dish pizzas, which was half the wait time compared to most places! I asked them to give me the best three appetizers they had, they gave mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings and a huge salad! Between the pizza and appetizers I think everyone ended up with two plates! They also gave me a veggie plate and deep dish cookie free! They SAVED my butt! The night ended up awesome thanks to them!
Other than that first impression, and my weekly ordering of deep dish pizza! I had them cater for our church youth group event! They set up grills outside and provided great burgers and ribs for 3 days! They came fully prepared and the staff that came along had the most up respect it was great to have them apart of our weekend! They even provided us with entertainment with their mascot!
My best recommendations would have to be, the deep dish pizza it has tons of flavor… or don’t be afraid to order a thin crust with the toppings of your choice. ANY appetizer you get you will be satisfied with! They are great all around! They have been and always will be my local choice for my catering and hunger needs!
Ps. Chilis cookie dessert has nothing on the deep dish cookie here!!!

Terrible! Tried the deep dish for the first time and it was the blandest, most tasteless blah. Hardly any sauce or toppings. I wish I had gone for pizza pizza rather than this. Got the cookie too and they even screwed that up! Hardly cooked on the inside, 30 seconds short of blackened on the outside. I remember liking this place as a kid over on Belmont… what the heck happened???
30 bucks down the drain, too many good options in Chicagoland to visit here again.

I bought a double take offer in which I got a deal on, so I paid $ 5 instead of $ 10 for $ 20 worth of food from here. I’ve driven past this place a number of times, and always wanted to try it… because of the name of course, I mean… how cute is the name Skuddlebutts!!!
So I ordered our pizza and fried dough appetizer Saturday night and was asked what I wanted on our second pizza as the pizzas are buy 1, get 1 free — SCORE! I didn’t even know this about the place so with the double take coupon, we had to throw in another ten bucks and some change which wasn’t bad for all that! Plenty of food to feed a small group of us. The service was friendly, I was even asked if they could get the door for me on my way out. I’ll definitely order from here again! The pizza wasn’t my favorite but it wasn’t bad at all… I like swapping places and trying different places so it will definitely be in the rotation.
